Africa the enigma.

Africa the enigma. The seat of humanity, and the oldest cultures ever established by humans according to some is also the seat of continuing controversy. Not to mention brutality of a monumental scale on a pretty regular basis.

Of course there is always finger pointing at who did this, or caused that. Of some bogyman or other that is the root cause of bloodshed seen only on occasion in other places in the world. I am not at all dissing the Jewish Holocaust, the Armenian Outrage, the diabolical slaughter of the Red Khmer’s, or any of the other examples of mans stellar works of killing his own kind.

Africa though, never seems to get over the same sort of thing. Often it is based upon centuries old tribal conflict. Then, there is the religion of peace, and how it’s followers have civilized the parts of Africa controlled by Islam.

Most often though it is some thug. It is that simple really, and today isn’t any different than years gone by, at least when it comes to Africa. Just who is today’s  hero of the people?

Robert Mugabe of course!

Africa is a false continent. The countries are ,especially the sub Saharan ones remnants of imperialism. They learned well if you look at the history of Rhodes and Leopold. You are spot on though that Mugabe needs a bullet

Not sure what you mean about Africa being a false continent.

As far as “Imperialism?” Please describe how you mean the term. Most often, when that term is used, it is code for socialist propaganda, based in historical fallacy.

Mugabe needed a bullet a long time ago…

European nations drew the maps creating false countries/continent. The embracing of socialism on behalf of the independent nations can be explained as a sick reflex away from the imperials. Ironically Africa serves well to illustrate how socialism is as tyrannical if not more than monarchs and corporate exploiters.

Alright, I was thinking that my understanding of geography and geology had some how been sent topsy turvy!

Colonialism remains a black eye on the history of many nations. It was done, and learning from it is much more important than harping on it in my opinion.

Part of that learning curve would be understanding that tyranny is evil irrespective of the source. It is unfortunate that people are way behind that knowledge. That seems to fall squarely into the failing to learn from history trap that has all to often led to even greater despotism for mankind.
