Radical Islam’s war against the west; is the subtitle. Some time ago I was asked to write a review about the movie Obsession. The disk got shuffled around in the move, so this is a bit belated.
This film is well organized, and the makers go out of their way to point out that not all Muslims are extremist’s. So much so, that I was forced to think about the principles of propaganda.
This movie does a great job though, of presenting the threat of militant Islam worldwide. Complete with film footage of militant Imam’s and crowded parade grounds filled with people that have been stirred into a frenzy of hatred toward all things not Islamic.
Being a “Kuffar” I must admit that understanding the hatred that the people in the film apparently have for us is well beyond my ken. Particularly disturbing was the scene involving American Muslims in New York, and the various scenes involving U.K. Muslim activist’s.
Also striking was the film makers use of women of Muslim background to highlight the militant agenda of the extremist’s. Islams penchant for misogyny is pretty apparent, and the use of women to make their points was a stroke of genius. That they also remind us that there are sleeper Islamic terrorist cells right here in the United States serves as a reminder of the Congressional findingsthat so many people choose to ignore like the proverbial ostrich with their heads stuck in the sand.
In conclusion I have to say that every American and citizen of the U.K. needs to see this film.

Over all everything covered was true in this DVD but they make it seem like Radical Islamists hate us because its what they do…no one touches on how this all started: Israel, had we put the Jewish State in Germany we wouldn’t have this problem but the powers that be after world war 2 decided that the Arab world should suffer for no reason…what would you do if all of sudden another government moved you off of your land, put fences around you, and moved a nation of people onto land occupied by your ancestors for generations? You would fight, I would fight, anyone would fight but they don’t mention it once. They don’t the RAF strafing Arab villages in for target practice, no mention of the war crimes carried out against the Arabs by the UK throughout their presence in the middle east but they show you images of Palestinians celebrating after 9/11 with no frame of reference…of course they are happy, the US feeds Israel with weapons used against them, they get herded into small areas patroled by soldiers who harass them at all times…are they supposed to be okay with their land be taken away and their people treated like criminals? Had the Western powers simply assimilated the Jewish population back into Europe or made a Jewish state in Germany (the real aggressors in WWII, i don’t recall Palestinians taking part in the Holocaust yet they suffer for it), but instead they formed a line in the Middle East with no regards for culture or religion…but they don’t bring this up once…i wonder why.

I am surprised that you missed one of my opening comments about the principles of propaganda Rolando.
Right, wrong, or indifferent, the past is what it is, and nothing can be done about that. Case in point; my peoples land was taken from them, we were sent to a foreign land far, far away. There we were persecuted because of what we were, including our religious practices.
Now, fast forward a couple of hundred years Rolando; We don’t strap bombs to our children and send them out to kill themselves and others. We don’t force conversion to our religion with the threat of decapitation as incentive. We don’t set off bombs in train stations and subways when we don’t get our way. We sure as hell don’t fly planes into the buildings of other peoples that had no direct involvement in any oppression, real or perceived that harmed us.
Who are “we?” Americans of Irish decent, that is who.
