Bush made his last great act of pandering for a legacy…
No matter, Ramos and Compean are getting OUT, and that is what truly matters…

It’s bizarre how Bush gave full pardons to some drug distributors in the article, but Ramos and Compean only get commutations. I think Fred is right, Bush is pandering for a legacy to some idiotic constituency of academic historians who will now write the history of the Bush years. (Or he doesn’t want to offend the tender feelings of Latin American governments as they get rid of their dealers by sending them our way.) But how can Bush be so bold in the war against jihad, and yet such a wuss in not granting full pardons to C. and R.? I’m glad they’re out, in any case. We will grant them a full and complete pardon in our hearts (with our regrets that they had to endure that bull in the first place).

I still think that Johnny Sutton, the criminal U.S. Attorney, should be horsewhipped, tarred and feathered, and then slow hung. (no drop)
The evidence was clear. Those men committed no crime.
