OhooRAH!
Though you wouldn’t know it from Leftmedia accounts or films like “Redacted” and “Battle for Haditha,” the case against the “Haditha Massacre” Marines has been falling apart for a couple of years now. In the most recent development, all charges were dropped against Lance Cpl. Stephen Tatum without explanation (read: lack of evidence). He is the third Marine to be exonerated, leaving only one to face court martial. “Lance Corporal Tatum wants to make it clear to the Marine Corps—especially other Marines—and everyone else that there were no deals in this decision,” said attorney Jack Zimmermann, a former military judge and retired Marine. “I have never had a client who would have more preferred to have a trial rather than have the charges dismissed in a deal. He has believed all along he did nothing wrong and was prepared and anxious to stand trial.” Somehow we doubt that Hollywood or Rep. Jack Murtha (D-“in cold blood”) will be apologizing for their rush to judgment.

I find it truly amazing as well as disgusting that the mainstream media was so rash to judge these fine men while never having walked a mile in their boots. For weeks the media was all over this story, yet when exonorations were issued ~ hardly a peep from them. Apologies are owed to these men and I, for one, offer mine to assure them that not all of America is in such a hurry to label any military action or split second judgement call as the wrong tack. War is never easy and decisions often must be made without hesitation. I thank these men for their bravery and self sacrifice. Without them and many more like them, we would never have the freedoms we DO have.

Kathleen, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I was not a Marine, although I did do “time” as a Devil Pup. I was literally born on Camp Pendleton, and raised in Oceanside California. I grew up thinking that all the Marines were jerks, in typical military town kid mindset. Then, after not all that much time, I realized that a very large number of my real friends, were in the Marine Corps.
From the Marines, I learned more than a few things. No, not just how to become a national contender as a member of the Junior NRA, or field craft, or even how to fish for Bass. (Bass were not nearly as populated across the Golden State back then, as they are now! :D) No, it was about things like being a friend, a real one. It was about appreciating things in life; like the value of hard work, and honesty, and being truthful to one’s self. Things like picking yourself up after something had gone terribly wrong. Learning from mistakes, and not allowing them to cripple you. It was, in a nutshell, about being a decent man. Not really a good thing in this world that is so politically correct and filled with the misandry and hate that we find ourselves in these days.
The one officer was cleared of charges today, although not without prejudice. One more to go. This incident bears all the markings of a trumped up and sensationalized incident.
Congressman Murtha pronounced these men guilty. he was, at one time, an Officer in the United States marine Corp. Congressman, please do all of us a favor, and fall upon the Mamaluke Sword of your commission.

0 for 7 will be 0 for 8.
Justice has been done, although it is a disgrace these charges were ever brought.
Our enemy is plotting our demise as a nation and we attack the soldiers saving our lives…only liberals see this as sensible.

When this story first broke a while back I was almost certain this would be the outcome but I held back and said what I always do, let it play out and let JAG do their job…
They did, vindication is ours and once again Justice triumphs…
Semper Fi Marines, you did the right thing and the system backed you up…
On another not, my Son was promoted to E-5 yesterday Patrick, he’s 22 with a combat tour and his CIB and now make SGT, I am a pretty proud Dad right about now!

My hat is off to kathleen for recognizing the truth! Our boys don’t have it easy over there. If only some of the liberals had to spend a month over there in their boots, living under constant threat.
