One of the most troubled regions in the world is about to have yet another round of warfare. Will this suceed in pacifying the area? I seriously doubt that it will. After all, when has there been peace there in all of known history?

Are we surprised? It might be what the terrorists wanted, but with an attack like that on a revered political figure, expect a sever backlash…

Could very well be true, but I think that this has been in the works for some time, and that the attempted assassination is a convenient excuse to take serious action.
