As noted in an earlier post epic fail obama’s nomination for the Ninth Circuit Court of appeals is completely unqualified to be a JUDGE. Much less an appellate court judge.
Yet the Senate Judiciary Committee appears bound and determined to force feed this sorry excuse of an attorney to we, the American people.
Republicans on the committee demand a delay in the scheduled April 16 hearing for Goodwin Liu, a law professor at the University of California, Berkeley. The committee this week received almost 120 items that Liu omitted from an earlier background questionnaire.
Consideration of Liu’s appointment to the US Circuit Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit is a warmup for the debate over a Supreme Court replacement if Justice John Paul Stevens decides to retire this year, said Curt Levey, executive director of the Committee for Justice in Washington and a critic of Liu’s confirmation.
With the announcement that Justice Stevens will retire this summer it is clear that judicial battle lines will be drawn. Further, that we will have to live with these idiots in power for years to come. But what the heck? They are all probably just as qualified as obama is…

No surprise here, and it makes this fall’s elections even more important. Conservative Senators are desperately needed to slow the Obama juggernaut determined to reshape America into a totalitarian society and control of the judiciary is one of their major aims. Attorneys such as Liu make a mockery of our legal system with their dedication to ideology while ignoring the law and as a judge he will vastly increase his ability to corrupt the rule of law.
The battle never ends, for sure. The Left is determined to prevail and unless the millions who do not vote start participating in the electoral process, the rights that they so blithely enjoy will vanish at an increasingly rapid pace.

it’a amazing that progressives like obama and company feel they have the right to make America into something it’s never been. with this creeping statism, freedom is out the door…..since they live in a world of axioms, not in the world as it is, it is very difficult to show them they are not right about everything under the sun.

This is where Obama could really mess up if he is not careful. Stevens is the most liberal Justice on the court, so if Obama does not nominate someone who is “super left” to the position, he may unintentionally moderate the court.
If however, he picks someone too far left – you better believe Republicans are going to use it as an opportunity to make serious political hay…as they darn well better…
This could get very interesting.

Obama nominating a “super-Left” candidate to replace Stevens? Nah …….., you think? You can be damned sure that they will be well-camouflaged, like the “wise Latina” whose background is scarcely indicative of any even-handedness, let alone a whisper of conservatism.
