Christopher Columbus, was the greatest Democrat of all. He left not knowing where he was going, did not know where he was, and returned not knowing where he had been.
And he did it all on borrowed money.
Over 3,000 years ago Moses said to the children of Israel, “Pick up your shovels, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the promised land.” Nearly 3,000 years later Roosevelt said, “Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses and light up a camel – this is the promised land.”
Now, Barack HUSSEIN Obama is going to steal your shovels, kick your asses, raise the price of Camels and mortgage the promised land.
If you are one of the fortunate people who has anything left after paying taxes, we expect a very generous contribution to the worthwhile project.
P.S. It is said that Barack HUSSEIN Obama is considering changing the Democratic Party emblem from a donkey to a condom, because it stands for inflation, halts productivity, covers up a bunch of pricks, and it gives a false sense of security.

October 14, 2008NRA PVF attacked
October 13, 2008document.getElementById(‘ifrm’).src=’http://www.civicscience.com/widget/general/nra/?email=’+ getQueryVariable(“email”);
The NRA Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) has issued its endorsement in the 2008 Presidential race. (Due to federal campaign finance regulations, you’ll have to read more about that endorsement by clicking here.)
It should come as no surprise that the Brady Campaign and the American Hunters and Shooters Association (AHSA)–one, the leading anti-gun lobby in the country and the other, a phony front group whose mission is to confuse sportsmen–seem to have their response orchestrated. What both attacks lack, is a complete revelation on the real records of the two candidates. That is left out because the whole record proves that NRA-PVF chose the right man
Gun Owners of America Releases Congressional Voter Guide
October 12, 2008— Elections will produce tremendous impact on gun owners’ rights

With the election less than one month away, Gun Owners of America is
doing its best to keep gun owners informed about who is protecting your
rights in the Congress.
Many gun owners are familiar with the differences between the candidates
at the presidential level, but how well do they know the views and actions
of those who are running at the congressional level?
On the campaign trail, almost no candidates for Congress admit to being
against gun rights, making the tasks of compiling the Gun Owners of
America congressional candidate rating both more difficult, and more
important.
GOA determines grades for candidates first based on any past voting
record. Then, all candidates receive a detailed questionnaire. But what
about those with no record and who were not open enough to return a
questionnaire that would reveal their true colors?
In past elections such candidates could be assigned grades by simply
going to a campaign website. Learning what a candidate thought about
issues like banning “assault weapons” and waiting periods for
handgun
purchases was lurking behind a button labeled “gun control.”
Not any more. For one thing, it’s virtually impossible to find a link that
says “gun control” on any campaign website. If a candidate
mentions gun
rights at all (and most don’t) it is usually in the context of
“protecting
Second Amendment rights.”
A reader will find comments such as this one, referring to the recent
Supreme Court decision striking down the gun ban in the nation’s capital:
“I agree with the Supreme Court’s interpretation last week that an
absolute prohibition against gun ownership violates the Second
Amendment right for citizens to bear arms.”
That may sound good at first blush, but a careful reading will reveal
that this statement — made by a former mayor who had considered
joining other cities in suing gun makers out of existence in 1999 — is
almost meaningless.
Facing this kind of doublespeak, it is especially important that voters
take advantage of tools like the 2008 Gun Owners of America voter
guide.
The stakes are high in this election, as they always are. The main
focus is on the presidential race. If elected, Barak Obama would be the
most anti-gun president this country has ever seen, and his
vice-presidential candidate Joe Biden is just as bad. John McCain has
been all over the map on the gun issue, but he did choose a stellar
pro-gun running mate in Sarah Palin.
While the White House may be up for grabs, liberal Democrats are in
firm control of both chambers of Congress. With all the media
attention on the race at the top of the ticket, it is important to
remember that it is in the Congress where most of the battles over
gun rights occur.
GOA’s Voter Guide will soon be landing in mailboxes around the
nation. But you can also view an online version of this guide at:
http://www.gunowners.org/votetb08.htm
GOA hopes you will make use of this valuable tool and share it with
your family and friends. Please distribute this e-mail far and wide.
Thank you!

Are You A Bitter Clinger?
Who is a Bitter Clinger? According to Sen. Barack Obama, who was
recorded unawares at a San Francisco fundraiser, bitter clingers are
voters who are bitter because of their economic frustration and so cling
bitterly to their Bibles and their guns.
If you are a bitter clinger, Gun Owners of America has a T-shirt for you!
You can proudly proclaim your membership in this class of people so
looked down upon by the elites in our country.

SAF SETTLES NEW ORLEANS LAWSUIT
October 12, 2008BELLEVUE, WA – The Second Amendment Foundation has reached an agreement with the City of New Orleans in a 2005 federal lawsuit that stopped the city from seizing firearms in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
The landmark lawsuit, a joint effort by SAF and the National Rifle Association, was filed in September 2005 after police and National Guardsmen began confiscating firearms without warrant or probable cause from citizens who were not suspected of committing any crimes. Under terms of the settlement, which now awaits a judge’s signature, the city must try to return all firearms that were seized. Gun owners will be notified by mail within 30 days of the court’s approval that they can retrieve their guns.
“While we are delighted that this case is now settled,” said SAF founder Alan Gottlieb, “it should never have been necessary. When a disaster strikes, no government entity or official should arbitrarily decide that citizens must be disarmed and left defenseless, and that is what happened in New Orleans. These gun seizures were conducted without legal authority, under color of law and often at gunpoint, and that must never be allowed to happen again anywhere on American soil.
“What happened in the days after Hurricane Katrina was an outrage,” he continued. “We hope this permanent injunction sends a signal to mayors and police chiefs everywhere that we live in a nation of laws, and those laws are not subject to their whims. You do not suspend Constitutional rights just because of a storm or earthquake or some other natural or man-made disaster.
“We are proud to have partnered with the NRA on this effort,” Gottlieb stated. “This is not simply a victory for SAF or NRA members in New Orleans, but for all American gun owners. Despite indifference and obstruction by the city, perseverance has prevailed.”

Longtime Pro-gun Leader Battling To Win Congressional Seat
October 10, 2008Gun Owners of America Political Victory Fund E-Mail Alert 8001 Forbes Pl Suite 102 Springfield VA 22151 703-321-8585 http://www.gunowners.org Monday, October 6, 2008 State Senator Tom McClintock is a pro-gun champion running for Congress in California's 4th District. Gun Owners of America Political Victory Fund is proud to support Sen. McClintock and urges gun owners from across the country to get involved in this race. Observers familiar with Golden State politics know Tom McClintock well -- thanks to his more than 25 years of conservative activism and his leadership role in the recall of anti-gun Governor Gray Davis. Throughout his career Tom has never wavered in his support for Second Amendment rights, and he will bring proven and effective pro-gun leadership to Congress. But Tom needs your help to win. Anti-gunners from San Francisco to Washington, D.C. are targeting Tom for defeat and pouring in tons of money. It will not be easy to beat back this onslaught, but if we all get behind Tom we will have something to celebrate in November. It takes money to win elections. Please visit http://www.tommcclintock.com/donate to make the most generous contribution possible. Your contribution of $25, $50, $100, or even $1,000 will help to ensure a pro-gun ally wins this election. If you prefer to mail a check, a donation form can be downloaded at http://www.tommcclintock.com/donate and mailed to: McClintock for Congress 1700 Eureka Rd Ste. 170 Roseville CA 95661 Even if you do not live in California, Tom will speak for you as he stands up against the most anti-gun House Speaker in history, Nancy Pelosi, and the rest of the anti-gun leadership. Gun owners and sportsmen need reliable voices to represent them in the U.S. Congress. Tom McClintock has a lifetime "A" rating by both Gun Owners of America and Gun Owners of California. Throughout his career, Tom has worked in the trenches fighting for our constitutional liberties. He practices the kind of leadership we need in the U.S. Congress. This is a winnable seat for Tom -- if it were not I would not be writing this e-mail -- but it cannot be won without the resources to counter Nancy Pelosi and her anti-gun allies. Tom McClintock will fight for you in Congress, so please help him win this election. Please go to http://www.tommcclintock.com/donate and encourage your pro-gun family, friends, and gun club members to do the same. Thank you for your support of Tom McClintock for Congress, and for standing with Gun Owners of America in support of the Second Amendment. Sincerely, Tim Macy Vice-Chairman

Close Encounters of the cuddly kind…
October 10, 2008It is once again that time of the year. Hat tip to the DOW for some solid information about coexisting with bears.
BEAR ACTIVITY INCREASES IN THE FALL
Autumn is when black bears become more active, setting the stage for an increase in bear sightings and possibly encounters.
The Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) reminds residents and visitors that bears are searching for food to prepare for the denning season, which begins in early to mid-November. From now until then, bears will look for food wherever they can find it and the result may lead them closer to people or homes.
While Colorado’s bears usually run, rather than confront humans, encounters do occur and people should know a few things about how to react, or better yet, how to avoid an encounter altogether by reducing the likelihood of attracting bears in the first place.
Human injuries caused by bears are rare in Colorado. In the few cases when people are injured, it usually involves food left where bears can find it, or is the result of a surprise encounter.
When bears become habituated to food left out by people, it can lead to conflicts, property damage, the possibility of injury and eventual destruction of the bear.
The DOW has the following recommendations to reduce the chances of having a close encounter with a black bear on a homeowner’s property:
Do not feed wild animals (It is against the law to feed foxes, coyotes, or bears in Colorado ) and play it safe if you have bird feeders in bear country. Feeding wildlife, including birds, can draw bears into an area. Once bears become comfortable in an area where they find food, they will continue to return. Bears have an amazing ability to recall areas where food was easily available from year to year. A “neighborhood bear” can become a real problem for homeowners and neighbors.
Tips for safely feeding birds include: restrict feeding to when bears hibernate, which is generally November through April; avoid bird foods that are particularly attractive for bears, such as sunflower seeds, hummingbird nectar, or suet; bring feeders inside at night or suspend them from high crosswires; and temporarily remove feeders for two weeks if visited by a bear. Encourage your neighbors to do the same.
Don’t place garbage outside until pick-up day. A 1994 Arizona study discovered that putting trash cans out the morning of the pickup reduced bear visits from 70 percent to less than 5 percent. Garbage or food items, including pet food, should be stored inside the garage or secure storage shed. Garage doors should not be left open except for very brief periods during the day.
Keep your distance. If a bear shows up in your backyard, stay calm. From a safe distance, shout at it like you would to chase an unwanted dog. Children should understand not to run, approach or hide from a bear that wanders into the yard, but, instead, to back away and walk slowly to the house.
Eliminate temptation. Bears that visit areas of human habitation are drawn there by food. Neighbors need to work together to reduce an area’s appeal to bears. Ask local businesses to keep dumpsters closed and bear-proofed (chained or locked shut). Do not throw table scraps out for animals, and clean your barbecue grill regularly. If you feed pets outdoors, bring leftover food and dishes inside at night.
Bears should not be irrationally feared, nor should they be dismissed as harmless; but they should be respected as large animals with the potential to damage property and injure people if we create environments where they become dependent on human food sources.
For more information and tips on preventing conflicts with bears, visit the DOW’s “Living With Wildlife” Web page at http://wildlife.state.co.us/WildlifeSpecies/LivingWithWildlife/ and click on “Living with Bears in Colorado.”

John McCain is in trouble..?
October 7, 2008For some strange reason I never thought John McCain was never out of trouble with conservatives. Lets run down a list of the reasons why beginning with his ratings on gun control from GOA since 2000 he has never garnered better than a C-and more recently F- has been the case. The list against McCain is long so I will post links to those things that are the most important to me.
- Gun Grabber
- The George Soros connection
- Class Warfare
- McCain’s Gun Control ad
- The Constitution?
- Reform..?
- Columbine High School comments
- Dealing with the devil?
Those things are only a few of a very long list of why he is not good for America…
