No gun control petition: WYOMING Say no to Bloomberg as well as his minions!

April 28, 2014

Are your gun rights safe from lawmakers in Cheyenne?

The answer is NO.

Billionaire playboy ex-New York City Michael Bloomberg has set his sights on passing gun control in state legislatures across the country.

Bloomberg’s sinister group, Mayors Against Guns recently targeting Colorado and New Mexico, and I’m afraid Wyoming is next.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that this is the latest anti-gun scheme the gun-grabbers will push in Wyoming — because it’s already happening.

The Wyoming Legislature’s Interim Judiciary Committee could meet in as early as four weeks and the gun control crowd in the Capitol placed “background check reform” as a top priority!

See the gun control measure on the books for yourself here:
http://legisweb.state.wy.us/InterimCommittee/2014/01Topics.htm

And this was all Bloomberg’s staff and his deep pockets needed to start working to RAM through so-called “universal” or “expanded background checks in Wyoming.”

Don’t be fooled by the gun-grabbers’ LIES.  This is nothing more than GUN REGISTRATION, plain and simple.

With this issue coming up before a state Legislative Committee, and Bloomberg’s Executive Director for Mayors Against Illegal Guns, Mark Glaze, telling reporters that passing new anti-gun restrictions here in Wyoming “would not be that hard!”

This is an all-out EMERGENCY.

Will you stand up and help defeat Bloomberg and his cronies before it’s too late?

If so, I hope you’ll take a moment to sign this petition below to your state lawmakers right away.

SIGN PETITION BELOW

WHEREAS:

President Obama, ex-New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and their gun control allies are trying to impose their radical anti-gun agenda on residents of Wyoming; and,

WHEREAS:

By definition, criminals don’t obey laws and new gun control laws make it more difficult for law-abiding citizens to protect themselves and their families; and,

WHEREAS:

The right to keep-and-bear arms is protected by the Constitution of the State of Wyoming and the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which clearly states “the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”; and,

WHEREAS:

Gun rights supporters, like myself, strongly oppose gun control and will be paying close attention to all gubernatorial actions on new anti-gun schemes as well as any State Legislator who votes for them.

THEREFORE:

Therefore, as a citizen of Wyoming, I URGE you to oppose, and vote against or veto all anti-gun legislation, including any bill that expands background checks or “cracks down” on gun shows.

SAY NO too Bloombergs Wyoming schemes!

April 28, 2014

It’s been a unusually busy time of year.

In fact, since I’ve been in this fight, this is the very first time it’s been so hectic on the flip side of the short 20 day legislative session.

And regrettably, we have our work cut out for us.

The truth is some folks believe that here in Wyoming, we remain sheltered from big city gun grabbers like billionaire Michael Bloomberg.

And it may be for this very reason that the gun control crowd has launched an all out assault in Wyoming.

Of course this is why we’ve been working so hard to reach hundreds of gun owners.

Please know that fruits of generous donors like you, is that, literally hundreds of Wyoming residents are receiving a “call to action” delivered to their postal mail box.

This action alert by WyGO is being mailed to inform them about — state “Republican” leadership pushing enhanced background checks — into an interim committee meeting in Rawlins WY in just a couple of weeks.

Of course we know the lay of the land, because this underhanded “play” has surfaced in several state legislatures.

And wouldn’t you know, much of it has been traced back to Bloomberg, along with his well funded gun control cronies all across the country.

Their plan is to, slip-in “King Henry the 8th” style laws, which will give carte blanche authority to Wyoming’s top law enforcement agency, who will then be able to share gun owner data to federal agencies.

Dangerously, once something like this goes into place, then the D.C. gun grabbers only need to pass a simple bill to tie it all together.

I hate to think what someone like Obama’s Attorney General Eric Holder, would do with a “secret list” of gun owners.

It gets worse. Even if a seemingly innocuous bill makes it out of committee in Rawlins, the anti-gun politicians in Cheyenne will sneak-in freedom robbing amendments into the bill at the next general session in 2015.

So here’s how the dirty scheme could play out:

*** Get the ‘ball’ rolling now, by pushing a bill draft that will remain hidden from public eyes;

*** Then, squeak by in the upcoming elections;

*** And for the kill, push the gun control envelope during the upcoming general session.

This is why this must be stopped all together!

And just who quietly placed this Universal Background Check scheme into the upcoming interim committee?

No other than the shadow government agency in Cheyenne called the “Management Council” — led by Republican leadership, Speaker of the House Tom Lubnau, and President of the Senate Tony Ross.

This is really an all-out FIGHT!

So please forward this email to every freedom loving friend and family member in Wyoming immediately!

Also urge them to sign up for our email alerts, so they too can get all the details about this attack on gun owners, as soon as it’s available.

Over the next coming days I will continue to coordinate WyGO’s aggressive postal-mailings — mostly to folks that may have never heard of our organization.

Bloomberg’s promise to spend $50 Million on state legislatures is a somber reality, and though WyGO is currently mailing several hundred homes — the goal to reach 20,000 Second Amendment supporters in Wyoming is a costly endeavor.

Please consider becoming a outreach-sponsor by contributing $50, $25, or even just $5 to help cover the costs of the envelopes, paper and postage.

Without your generous support, I truly shudder to think about what you and I could be facing. We simply have to turn up the heat on the Wyoming Lawmakers like never before.

In addition to helping out with whatever you can afford, please pass this alert on to your Pro-Freedom friends and point them to our — “Stop Bloomberg in Wyoming Petition” — by clicking on the banner below.

Thank you in advance for your dedication to defending the Second Amendment in Wyoming.

P.S. With billionaire Michael Bloomberg now spending $50 million to push — state level gun control — that includes “enhanced background check” legislation — gun owners are now facing a serious assault by the politicians in Cheyenne.

It should be illegal for Democrats to own guns.

Mayor Bloomberg, try Sensible Gun Control.
In 1865 a Democrat shot and killed Abraham Lincoln, President of the United States .
In 1881 a left wing radical Democrat shot James Garfield, President of the United States who later died from the wound.
In 1963 a radical left wing socialist shot and killed John F. Kennedy, President of the United States .
In 1975 a left wing radical Democrat fired shots at Gerald Ford, President of the United States .
In 1983 a registered Democrat shot and wounded Ronald Reagan, President of the United States .
In 1984 James Hubert, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 22 people in a McDonalds restaurant.
In 1986 Patrick Sherrill, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 15 people in an Oklahoma post office.
In 1990 James Pough, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 10 people at a GMAC office.
In 1991 George Hennard, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 23 people in a Luby’s cafeteria in Killeen , TX .
In 1995 James Daniel Simpson, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 5 coworkers in a Texas laboratory.
In 1999 Larry Asbrook, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 8 people at a church service.
In 2001 a left wing radical Democrat fired shots at the White House in a failed attempt to kill George W. Bush, President of the US .
In 2003 Douglas Williams, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 7 people at a Lockheed Martin plant.
In 2007 a registered Democrat named Seung – Hui Cho, shot and killed 32 people in Virginia Tech.
In 2010 a mentally ill registered Democrat named Jared Lee Loughner, shot Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and killed 6 others.
In 2011 a registered Democrat named James Holmes, went into a movie theater and shot and killed 12 people.
In 2012 Andrew Engeldinger, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 7 people in Minneapolis .
In 2013 a registered Democrat named Adam Lanza, shot and killed 26 people in a school in Newtown , CT.
As recently as Sept 2013, an angry Democrat shot 12 at a Navy ship yard.
Clearly, there is a problem with Democrats and guns.
Not one NRA member, Tea Party member, or Republican conservative was involved in any of these shootings and murders.

Engagement Distances

April 10, 2014

Excellent story about the practicalities of pistol training.

Stuff From Hsoi

The April 2014 Rangemaster newsletter discusses engagement distances of private citizen self-defense incidents. You should read the whole article (it’s only a page long), but here’s a key take-home:

We have had over 60 student involved shootings. Of those, two incidents occurred at less than 3 yards. One involved intentional physical contact between the shooter and the offender, the other involved purely accidental contact. The vast majority of these shootings occurred at distances between 3 yards and 7 yards, with the bulk of those at 3 to 5 yards. So, we see that the typical self-defense shooting is well beyond arm’s-length and may be past the length of your car. The average American sedan is 16 feet long. That is approximately 5 yards. My Silverado pickup is a little over 18 feet long, or 6 yards. This is way beyond arm’s-length.

Another useful thing is a graph Tom made:
