June 22, 2007Biometric Social Security cards
June 19, 2007Senator Chuck Schumer wants to amend the immigration bill to require you to get a new Social Security card with biometric information imbedded in it. Creating this new card would . . .
* Cost $9 billion (before the usual government cost over-runs)
* Require the Social Security administration to hire an additional 60,000 employees
* Require you to spend time getting the new card
* Require you to give the central government sensitive personal information
In the past only criminals had to supply the state with things like fingerprints, DNA, or retinal scans. Now, if Schumer gets his way, law abiding citizens will have to do it too, just for the privilege of earning a living. Meanwhile . . .
The people this card is supposed to control will continue to live underground, work on the black market without papers, or forge documents. The real control will be over you, not them.
So why does Schumer want this Biometric Social Security card on top of the REAL ID?
It could be because the REAL ID Act is in big trouble and the politicians are looking for an alternative that doesn’t require the cooperation of state governments. After all . . .
New Hampshire just voted to NOT COOPERATE with the REAL ID requirement!
This New Hampshire decision is a big victory for our side, but a real challenge to Big Brother politicians like Schumer. Biometric Social Security cards may soon take the place of the REAL ID, unless we stop the whole thing dead in its tracks, right now.
This Biometric Social Security card is evidence that the politicians are going to come at us from all angles. If they can’t come in through the door (REAL ID), then they’ll try to come in through a window (Biometric Social Security cards). We need to use the same tactic to defeat this tactic, fighting fire with fire.
We need to attack these Big Brother proposals from all angles. That’s why we’re devoting the entire week to defeating the immigration bill. We need for you to send a new message about this each day. Every message will ask the Senate to oppose the immigration bill as a whole. But then . . .
In your personal comments we want to ask you to add a specific objection — a different one for each day. Yesterday we asked you to tell your Senators that . . .
You’ve heard rumors that earmarks are being offered in return for voting yes on the immigration bill, and you’re going to be very ANGRY if that turns out to be true. If you sent this message yesterday, thank you. If you did not, please do so now HERE.
Today, send another message, and use your personal comments to ask your Senators to oppose Senator Schumer’s Biometric Social Security Card amendment. You can do so HERE.
Tomorrow we’ll be back with another message for you to send on this issue. In the meantime, could we ask you to put in a little extra effort today, and also send a message calling for the repeal of the REAL ID Act. Tell them you know New Hampshire has refused to participate, and you think it’s time to just repeal REAL ID entirely. You can send that message HERE.
This is important because the more objections the Senate receives to national ID card schemes the more likely it is that the REAL ID Act will be repealed, that provisions related to it will be stripped from the immigration bill, and that Schumer’s Biometric Social Security Card amendment will also be defeated.
You can send your “Repeal the REAL ID Act” message HERE.

“It is the duty of parents to maintain their children decently… to protect them according to the dictates of prudence; and to educate them according to the suggestions of a judicious and zealous regard for their usefulness, their respectability and happiness.” —James Wilson
Source; Patriot Post
I could go on, and on about this. Personal responsibility does extend to how one raises their children. Patriot Mom has addressed this on her blog quite well. As has Little Old Lady.
Personal integrity, and Honesty, as well as Honor are domains where the Father should be in pre-Eminence through actions in life. Where the female, the mother or surrogate, should be providing the foundations for morality. Just what I ask, is of necessity in order to accomplish such things? A MOTHER. For the realm of the Mother, is intelligence.

Dear Confused Student:
I am not allowed in schools.
Sincerely,
GOD
———————————————————-
How did this all of this insanity get started???
—————–
Let’s see…
I think it started when athiest, activist
Madeline Murray O’Hare complained
she didn’t want any prayer in our schools.
And we said, OK..
——————
Then, someone said
you better not read the Holy Bible in school,
the very same Bible that says,
“thou shall not murder, thou shall not steal
and love your neighbors as yourself,”
And we said, OK…
—————–
Dr. Benjamin Spock said
we shouldn’t spank our children when they
misbehaved because their little personalities
would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem.
And we said, an expert should know
what he’s talking about so we won’t spank them anymore..
——————
Then someone said teachers and principals better not
discipline our children when they misbehave.
And the school administrators said
no faculty member in this school had
better touch a student when they misbehave
because we don’t want any bad publicity
and we surely don’t want to be sued.
And we accepted their reasoning…
——————
Then someone said,
Why not let our daughters have abortions if they want them
and they won’t even have to tell their parents.
And we said, that’s a grand idea…
——————
Then some wise school board member said,
since boys will be boys and they’re going to do it anyway,
let’s give our sons all the condoms they want,
so they can have all the fun they desire,
and won’t have to tell their parents they got them at school.
And we said, that’s another great idea…
——————
Then some of our top elected officials said it doesn’t matter
what we do in private as long as we do our jobs.
And we said, it doesn’t matter
what anybody, including the President, does in private
as long as we have jobs and the economy is good.
——————
And someone else took that appreciation a step further and
published pictures of nude children and then
stepped further still by making them available on the Internet.
And we said, everyone’s entitled to free speech….
——————
And the entertainment industry said,
let’s make TV shows and movies that
promote profanity, violence and illicit sex…
And let’s record music that encourages
rape, drugs, murder, suicide, and satanic themes…
And we said, it’s just entertainment
and it has no adverse effect
and nobody takes it seriously anyway, so go right ahead.
——————
Now we’re asking ourselves why
our children have no conscience,
why they don’t know right from wrong,
and why it doesn’t bother them to kill
strangers, classmates or even themselves.
——————
Undoubtedly,
if we thought about it long and hard enough,
it seems we could finally figure it out.
I’m sure it has a great deal to do with…

More on immigration
June 9, 2007This is good! Below is a good example of a discussion with a master of circular logic. Don’t be logical, don’t
respect the truth or your adversary, just say what you think makes a new case when the previous case gets too
difficult to defend. On the streets of downtown Houston, May 1, 2006.
Jim Moore reporting for a Houston TV station:
Jim: Juan, I see that you and thousands of other protesters are marching in the streets to demonstrate for your
cause. Exactly what is your cause and what do you expect to accomplish by this protest?
Juan: We want our rights. We will show you how powerful we are. We will bringHouston to its knees!
Jim: What rights?
Juan: Our right to live here…legally. Our right to get all the benefits you g et.
Jim: When did you come to the United States?
Juan: Six years ago. I crossed over the border at night with seven other friends.
Jim: Why did you come?
Juan: For work. I can earn as much in a month as I could in a year in Mexico. Besides, I get free health care, our
Mexican children can go to school free, if I lose my job I will get Welfare, and someday I will have the Social
Security. Nothing like that inMexico!
Jim: Did you feel badly about breaking our immigration laws when you came?
Juan: No! Why should I feel bad? I have a right to be here. I have a right to amnesty. I paid lots of money for my
Social Security and Green Cards.
Jim: How did you acquire those documents?
Juan: From a guy in Dallas. He charged me a lot of money too.
Jim: Did you know that those documents were forged?
Juan: It is of no matter. I have a right to be here and work.
Jim: What is the “right” you speak of?
Juan: The right of all Aliens. It is found in your Constitution. Read it!
Jim: I have read it, but I do not remember it saying anything about rights for Aliens.
Juan: It is in that part where it says that all men have Alien rights, like the right to pursue happiness. I
wasn’t happy in Mexico, so I came here.
Jim: I think you are referring to the declaration of Independence and that document speaks to unalienable
rights .. Not Alien rights.
Juan: Whatever.
Jim: Since you are demanding to become an American citizen, why then are you carrying a Mexican Flag?
< /FONT>Juan: Because I am Mexican.
Jim: But you said you want to be given amnesty … to become a US citizen.
Juan: No. This is not what we want. This is our country, a part of Mexico that you Gringos stole from us. We want
it returned to its rightful owner.
< SPAN style=”FONT-SIZE: 18px; COLOR: black; FONT-FAMILY: Arial”>Jim: Juan, you are standing in Texas. After
wining the war with Mexico, Texasbecame a Republic, and later Texans voted to join the USA. It was not stolen
fromMexico.
Juan: That is a Gringo lie. Texas was stolen. So was California, New Mexico andArizona. It is just like all the
other stuff you Gringos steal, like oil and babies. You are a country of thieves.
Jim: Babies? You think we steal babies?
Juan: Sure. Like from Korea and Vietnam and China. I see them all over the place. You let all these foreigners in,
but try to keep us Mexicans out. How is this fair?
Jim: So, you really don’t want to become an American citizen then.
Juan: I just want my rights! Everyone has a right to live, work, and speak their native language wherever and
whenever they please. That’s another thing we demand. All signs and official documents should be in Spanish .
Teachers must teach in Spanish. Soon, more people here in Houston will speak Spanish than English. It is our right!
Jim: If I were to cross over the border into Mexico without proper documentation, what rights would I have there?
Juan: None. You would probably go to jail, but that’s different.
Jim: How is it different? You said everyone has the right to live wherever they please.
Juan: You Gringos are a bunch of land grabbing thieves. Now you want Mexico too?Mexico has its rights. You Gringos
have no rights in Mexico. Why would you want to go there anyway? There is no free medical service, schools, or
welfare there for foreigners such as you. You cannot even own land in my country. Stay in the country of your
birth.
Jim: I can see that there is no way that we can agree on this issue. Thank you for your comments.
Juan: Viva Mexico!
You will not see this heart-stopping photo on the front page of the NY Times or on the lead story of the major
news networks. The protestors put up the Mexican flag over the American flag flying upside down at Montebello High
School in California.
I predict this stunt will be the nail in the coffin of any guest-worker/amnesty plan on the table in Washington.
The image of the American flag subsumed to another and turned upside down on American soil is already spreading on
In ternet forums and via e-mail.
Pass this along to every American citizen in your address books and to every representative in the state and
federal government. If you choose to remain uninvolved, do not be amazed when you no longer have a nation to call
your own nor anything you have worked for left since it will be “redistributed” to the activists while you are so
peacefully staying out of the “fray”. Check history, it is full of nations/empires that disappeared when its
citizens no longer held their core beliefs and values. One person CAN make a difference. One plus one plus one
plus one plus one plus one……..
The battle for our secure borders and immigration laws that actually mean something, however, hasn’t even begun.
Bill O’Reilly
June 9, 2007‘With great power there must also come – great responsibility!” So said the first Spider-Man comic book, in 1962. In the last few weeks, talk radio’s The Caplis & Silverman Show has abused its great power.Since May 16, almost every C&S Show has incited a campaign against Boulder High School. I wish that hosts Dan Caplis and Craig Silverman would focus their considerable talents elsewhere, rather than harassing the Boulder High community, and attempting to impose the censorious morality of outsiders on Boulder.
Last April, several panels of the CU Conference on World Affairs were held, as is the custom, at next-door Boulder High. For the panel “STDs: Sex, Teens and Drugs,” some students attended on their own, with parental permission; several classes were brought to the panel by teachers. Not every teacher specifically restated the universal policy at Boulder High – applicable to all films, books and speakers – that anyone who was uncomfortable could opt out.
In the ensuing fallout, the Boulder Valley School District immediately stated that the failure to re- announce the opt-out rule was an error. Moreover, the panel violated BVSD policy that a broad range of views be presented on controversial subjects. The responsible employees were reprimanded.
End of story? Not for C&S. Day after day it has been playing selected quotes from the panel. Caplis has demanded that “each school authority” be “severely disciplined.” C&S has orchestrated an e-mail and telephone deluge against Boulder High.
Conspicuously missing from the C&S daily expression of “outrage” is support from Boulder High parents of students who actually listened to the panel. One parent of a student who was brought in to hear the panel complained at a school board meeting. Neither C&S nor other media have found even a second upset family of a student who actually attended the panel.
Given the school board’s appropriate response to the single aggrieved parent – ensuring that in the future every parent have the opportunity to opt out of any CWA panel beforehand – C&S should have moved on long ago from a story that merited, at most, a couple days’ attention. The silent majority of Boulder families apparently are not as repressive as C&S about how free the speech in public high schools should be.
Many parents who tell their teenagers to “say no” know that students must learn to think for themselves. A comment on the Boulder Daily Camera Web site aptly quoted John Milton: “I cannot praise a fugitive and cloistered virtue, unexercised and unbreathed, that never sallies out and sees her adversary . . . ”
Harping on the need to protect “the children,” C&S arrogates to itself a decision that properly belongs to BHS parents.
Statements of panelists have been shorn of context. C&S tells its audience that panelist Antonio Sacre said that he had stopped using condoms because it “doesn’t feel as good.”
Literally true, but nearly libelous. What C&S did not tell the audience was that Sacre explained his regret for his foolish choices about condoms as a teenager. Sacre warned his audience that they should always use condoms – even if the female is taking birth-control pills – because of the danger of sexually transmitted diseases, and because there is always a risk of pregnancy. (The full transcript and audio are available at www.bvsdwatch.org, which C&S, to their credit, have linked to on their KHOW Web page.)
Caplis insists that teachers should have driven the students out of the auditorium because “within five minutes” the panel was promoting drug use and sex. In fact, the opening 10 minutes consisted of introductions and a presentation by Sanho Tree of the Institute for Policy Studies, who simply critiqued counterproductive programs, such as DARE, which loses credibility because of its reckless exaggerations.
C&S claimed that the panel was in accord with panelist Joel Becker, who encouraged students to have sex and use drugs “appropriately” because they would be having sex and using drugs anyway. Actually, Sanho Tree, the panel’s drug policy expert, said not a single word encouraging the students to use drugs. Instead, he criticized the harmful effects of current drug policies.
Appearing on Bill O’Reilly’s Fox TV show, The O’Reilly Factor, Caplis did not even know the name of the school’s good-hearted and excellent principal Bud Jenkins, but was sure that Jenkins and every administrator should be fired. Heedless of First Amendment case law, O’Reilly proclaimed that the panel’s speech constituted a crime. The only crime was perpetrated by the O’Reilly producer who, attempting to ambush interview school board President Helayne Jones, criminally trespassed into her garage.
As a Boulder High parent, I have discovered that the school is a much more tolerant place than the average large high school. Respect for freedom of speech is part of what makes Boulder High special.
O’Reilly tells the world that Bud Jenkins is “the villain.” As Boulder High students are learning, media scandal- makers sometimes tell you much less than the full story.

BE MINDFUL OF MOUNTAIN LIONS
May 27, 2007From our good friends at the Colorado Division of Wildlife some words of wisdom, so that you do not end up with a blog posting in “Stupid is as stupid does.”
DOW URGES: BE MINDFUL OF MOUNTAIN LIONS
As campers, hikers and wildlife enthusiasts get ready to dust off their gear and head into the wild, the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) is reminding everyone that we live in mountain lion country. Living in lion country can mean different things to different people—some residents live in mountain lion habitat and some people just recreate there; either way, it’s important for people to be aware and know the basics.
Around the home:
-It is against the law to feed deer or other wildlife in Colorado. Attracting deer to your neighborhood increases the likelihood that mountain lions will follow because deer are a lion’s main food source.
-Closely supervise children when they play outdoors especially around dawn and dusk when lions are most active.
-Make a lot of noise when coming and going, especially from dusk until dawn.
-Turn on outside lights before stepping outside.
Hiking:
-When you are in areas where lions might be present, travel in groups and make lots of noise, especially from dusk until dawn when lions are most active.
-Mountain lion sightings are rare, but if you see one, do NOT approach the lion.
-Stay calm. Back away slowly as running may trigger the lion’s natural predatory instinct.
-Open your jacket and raise your arms to make yourself appear larger than normal.
-Pick up young children so they don’t panic and run away.
-If a lion behaves aggressively, throw rocks, branches, or anything else you can find without —crouching down or turning away. Wave your arms and speak firmly.
-In the rare case that you are attacked by a lion, fight back. Remain standing if possible and try to get up if you are knocked down.
Pets:
–Keep your pets on a leash. Roaming pets are easy prey and can attract lions.
-Bring your pets in at night. If you leave your pet outside, make sure they are in a kennel with a secure top.
-Don’t feed your pets outside as this can attract raccoons, skunks and other animals that are eaten by lions.
For more information on mountain lions, pick up a copy of the DOW publication Living with Wildlife in Lion Country (also available via our Website).
The projected population of mountain lions in Colorado is between 3,000 and 5,000 lions, although true numbers are hard to determine due to the elusive nature of the cats. Lions are active year round and can live to be about 12 years old in the wild and up to 25 years in captivity. Very powerful and muscular, they feed on large prey such as deer and elk, but also eat small mammals including domestic pets. Natural enemies of the lion include other large predators such as bears, other mountain lions and wolves. They also fall victim to accidents, disease, vehicles and people.
Mountain Lions in Colorado generally live in areas of piñon pine, juniper, mountain mahogany, ponderosa pine and oak brush. They are often found in areas where deer are plentiful. Their “home range” can vary in size from 10 to 370 square miles, with females with young kittens occupying a smaller area and adult males using wider expanses.
The Division of Wildlife commissioned a study in April 2006 to get a sense of how the public feel about mountain lions. The study found that most survey respondents were fairly knowledgeable about what to do in case of a lion encounter and the respondents made an effort to be more aware of their surroundings when recreating in known lion habitat. This survey, Public Opinions and Perceptions of Mountain Lion Issues can be viewed on our Website at: MountainLionSurveyResults.
Currently, DOW is developing a Front Range Mountain Lion Research project, which will study the behavior of lions in proximity to human habitat. The location and timeline for the study have not yet been determined. More information on this effort will be released in the coming months.
A second mountain lion study is being conducted by the DOW on the Uncompahgre Plateau in western Colorado. This ten-year study began in 2005 and will help wildlife managers better understand lion density, lion range and how lion hunting can positively or negatively impact lion population management.
The Colorado Division of Wildlife is the state agency responsible for managing wildlife and its habitat, as well as providing wildlife related recreation. The Division is funded through hunting and fishing license fees, federal grants and Colorado Lottery proceeds through Great Outdoors Colorado.

Received from a party that I will not identify for his own personal security.
At first I thought this was funny…then I realized the awful truth of it.
Be sure to read all the way to the end!
Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table
At which he’s fed.
Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.
Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.
Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.
Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.
Tax his cigars,

Find other ways
To tax the fool
Tax all he has

That you won’t be done
Till he has no dough.
When he screams and hollers,
Then tax him some more,
Tax him till
He’s good and sore.
Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in

COMMENTS: Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and our nation was the most prosperous in the world.
We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.
What the happened? Can you spell “politicians!”
And I still have to “press 1” for English.
I hope this goes around THE US A at least 100 times
Friends, this was written by a 59 year old man that earned an MBA in Economics many years ago. He is also a Viet Nam Veteran that served in the 75th of the 101st Airborne. He will soon die. Let us never forget these words of wisdom.
An Excellent Letter
May 19, 2007I received this in an email, and sourcing it to the original has not been possible. Still, the message rings true!
Subject: An Excellent Letter
Here’s one woman who is telling it like it is…in her opinion!
Written by a housewife from New Jersey and sounds like it! This is one pissed off lady.
“Are we fighting a war on terror or aren’t we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001 ? Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan , across the Potomac from our nation’s capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania ? Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn’t they?
And I’m supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was “desecrated” when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet?…Well, I don’t. I don’t care at all.
I’ll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.
I’ll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in Saudi Arabia
I’ll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry for hacking off Nick Berg’s head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.
I’ll care when the cowardly so-called “insurgents” in Iraq come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques.
I’ll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs.
I’ll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the United States Constitution’s Bill of Rights.
In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up an
Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don’t care.
When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who have been humiliated in what amounts to a college-hazing incident, rest assured: I don’t care.
When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank: I don’t care.
When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed “special” food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being “mishandled,” you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts: I don’t care.
And oh, by the way, I’ve noticed that sometimes it’s spelled “Koran” and other times “Quran.” Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and -you guessed it -I don’t care ! ! ! ! !
If you agree with this viewpoint, pass this on to all your e-mail friends. Sooner or later, it’ll get to the people responsible for this ridiculous behavior!
If you don’t agree, then by all means hit the delete button. Should you choose the latter, then please don’t complain when more atrocities committed by radical Muslims happen here in our great country! And may I add this quote: “Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But, the Marines don’t have that problem.” …..Ronald Reagan
I have another quote that I would like to add AND…….I hope you forward all this. “If we ever forget that we’re One Nation Under God, then we will be a nation gone under.” also by….. Ronald Reagan
One last thought for the day: In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England ‘s Prime Minister Tony Blair’s words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America , he said:
“A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in… And how many want out.”
Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:
1. Jesus Christ
2. The American G. I.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.
That time of year
May 19, 2007DO NOT APPROACH OR HANDLE YOUNG WILDLIFE
This is the time of year when wildlife give birth to their young. The Colorado Division of Wildlife advises people not to approach, touch or handle young animals.
“We know that people are trying to be helpful, but young animals are best cared for by their own parents,” said Tony Gurzick, southwest assistant regional manager for the DOW. “The best thing people can do is to leave young wildlife alone.”
During spring and early summer, people often see young animals that appear to be alone in the forest, in backyards or along the sides of roads.
“The animals have not been abandoned. Young animals are often left alone to allow the mother to feed, to help them avoid predators and to learn how to live in the wild,” Gurzick explained.
Deer provide a good example of how wildlife adapts behaviors to help them survive. Young fawns have no scent and are born with speckled coats that provide a natural camouflage. These two factors help them avoid being found by predators. When the mother doe senses a predator might be near it moves away from its young. Many other animals use similar techniques.
Young birds often fall out of their nests or are pushed out of nests by parents to encourage them to fly, explained Chad Morgan, a district wildlife manager in the Greeley area. Young birds should not be touched. An exception can be made if a bird can be placed quickly back into its nest. But the nest must be easily accessible, Morgan said.
“If a young bird is on the ground it will quickly learn to fly,” Morgan said. “It’s best to let nature take its course.”
People also need to keep their pets under control. In the woods, dogs–acting on their natural predator instincts-can find animals and attack them. The stress of being attacked often is fatal for young animals unable to defend themselves.
In neighborhoods and backyards cats are adept at finding eggs and young birds. Cats are pets–but they’re also predators.
Many studies show that cats are damaging the songbird population. The DOW asks that people not allow their cats to roam free.
Except for what’s put in birdfeeders, people should not provide any type of food for wildlife. Providing food causes animals to bunch up in small areas which can make them vulnerable to diseases and predation. If animals become accustomed to being fed in one area they will act aggressively to protect the food source and that can pose a danger to humans and pets. Wild animals also should not eat pet food or human food.
People also need to know that not all newborn animals will survive.
“In the case of all wildlife, we have to understand that mortality is part of the natural cycle,” Gurzick said.
If you see a young animal, admire its beauty from a distance and then move on quietly. Talk to youngsters and others about this topic who might not be familiar with wildlife.
If you have any questions, call a local DOW office.
