Army seizes power in Mauritania

August 7, 2008

With all that has been going on as of late I took special notice of recent activity in Africa, and, as usual, my good friend Texas Fred beat me to posting about it, as well as possible ramifications for those of us here in these not so United States.

stolen from: Texas Fred

The coup in Africa’s newest oil producer took place after the president and prime minister fired the country’s top four military officials, reportedly for supporting lawmakers who had accused the president of corruption and disagreed with how he was reaching out to Islamic hard-liners.

A brief announcement read over state television Wednesday said the new “state council” will be led by presidential guard chief Gen. Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, one of the four fired generals. The statement also restored the jobs of the other three generals.

President Sidi Ould Cheikh Abdallahi was being held by renegade soldiers at the presidential palace in Nouakchott, according to presidential spokesman Abdoulaye Mamadouba. Soldiers also detained Prime Minister Yahya Ould Ahmed Waqef, he said.

State radio and television went off air as the coup began and witnesses said soldiers were deployed throughout the capital. No violence was reported.

Full Story Here:
Army seizes power in Mauritania

NOUAKCHOTT, Mauritania – Army officers upset with government overtures toward Islamic hard-liners staged a coup in Mauritania on Wednesday, overthrowing the first government to be freely elected in this sprawling desert nation in more than 20 years.

Pay close attention to the *reasons* behind this coup, government corruption and reaching out to Islamic hard-liners.

Corruption in the government?? Reaching out to, and generally submitting to Islamic *hard-liners?? Ignoring the safety and well being of the American people as ILLEGAL incursions, ie: armed invasion by Mexican army troops is allowed to happen on numerous occasions? Border patrol agent held at gunpoint

Does anyone besides me see the strong possibility that the USA could very well be headed in the same direction? Does anyone here today think that our own government isn’t guilty of the very same things?

Our Congress is out of control, and is run by a woman that is the most liberal thing to ever take the helm of the House of Representatives. Our Senate is being destroyed by the Dems, and the Dem LITE, ie: the former Republican party. Our President would support immediate amnesty for nearly 20 million ILLEGAL invaders if allowed, all the while allowing our southern border to be over-run.

Our own government has fallen to never before seen levels of disapproval, our President has an unbelievable level of disapproval, our financial markets are a day to day shamble, tremendous losses and reasonable gains, followed by more losses. We don’t have money, we have credit. We are owned by nations not our own.

There is a stage being set, right now, that is ripe for this very action to take place here in the USA. All the causes and reasons are in place, and where is our President today? In Beijing for the opening of the Olympic Games.

So, I guess what we have is this: Nero fiddled while Rome burned

Economic Schools of Thought

August 3, 2008

Whiskey and Gunpowder, two things that built this nation, and a rather good blog that I just discovered.

Greg’s Note: There is plenty of complex mathematics involved in high-level economic theory. But no matter how many advanced mathematics degrees you can obtain from Cal Tech or MIT, you may never have the grasp on economics as someone who truly understands the history and theory that goes into it. Lord William Rees-Mogg explains the limitations and strengths of these two different approaches to economic understanding and how well they fare when it comes to predicting economic occurrences. Which area of thought do you trust more? Let us know by writing to greg@whiskeyandgunpowder.com.

Two Schools of Thought

There are two ways of studying economic theory. One approach is mathematical, and has been much enhanced by the computing power available to the individual economist. The other is historical and relies on the accumulated understanding of economic theory and practice.

The events of 2007 and 2008 have shown the limitations of the mathematical method. The credit crunch was not foreseen by anyone that I read, but it came as a shock to the number crunchers — it took them completely by surprise.

The Myth of Abundant Oil

We’ve been told for years that oil would last forever. We especially hear this from the governments of many oil-producing countries.

Unfortunately, this is not the case. The many lies we’ve been told are finally being exposed, and we’re paying the price. What’s really going on here? Find out by clicking here

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It did not come as a shock to the economic historians, who happily settled down to discuss the resemblances between this credit crisis and earlier ones, going back to the South Sea Scheme in 1720 or the Wall Street Panic of 1907. The economic historians know that similar events had happened before, and had also learned, often by painful experience, that such events are quite common.
Neither group foresaw the actual events of August 2007, but the historians were quite able to put the credit crisis in a context of other crises. Even though both groups were taken by surprise, it was the mathematicians whose previous forecasts were stood on their heads.
By and large, historical economists, who follow the example of major English economists such as Maynard Keynes or W.S. Jevons, do not regard timing as any more predictable for economic shocks than for earthquakes.
One can say that there is a build up of stress in the system that will eventually have to be released. One cannot say that the release of pressure will occur next Tuesday or next August or even next century.
Some say the big earthquake will happen along the San Andreas Fault in California. It may come tomorrow; it may come before 2050; it may not happen for 500 years. We can usefully predict what and where, but we can very seldom predict when. This makes expectation difficult to quantify, though all markets are based on expectations
What we do know from economic history is that there is a cycle of debt that has to be relieved. In twentieth century history the war debts of the first war played their malign part in the European depression of the 1920s and eventually in the Great Depression of the 1930s. The Austrian School of Economics, and particularly Friedrich von Hayek, developed the Debt-Deflation theory of the business cycles. Hayek indeed foresaw the risk of a deflationary crisis as early as 1927.
Making Money in a Floundering Market
Investing in the stock market is tricky these days. There are still good investments out there that will pay off, but the gains you can expect will be modest at best.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Keynesian economics, as expounded in his General Theory, 1936, were criticised at the time for an inadequate appreciation of the negative aspects of excessive debt. Bankers of the Gold Standard era attached great importance to the balance sheet rather than the profit and loss account. I get the impression nowadays that people read the current account much more carefully than they do the capital account — partly because they think that off balance sheet financing has reduced the transparency of the balance sheet itself.

As a result, government balance sheets, bank balance sheets, corporate balance sheets and personal balance sheets have all deteriorated. Finance ultimately depends on the security of capital, and weak balance sheets, at any level, are exposed to risk and to problems of opportunity cost.

An old-fashioned banker would now be calling for strengthening of balance sheets at every level. But the liquidation of debt takes years to accomplish and diverts fund from current consumption. The 2007 credit crunch calls for liquidation of debt, but that is bound to have a deflationary effect.

Regards,
Lord William Rees-Mogg

Greg’s Endnote: Until we do have a liquidation of debt, we won’t be feeling the deflationary period that Rees-Mogg mentioned. We are still going through a period of inflation with commodity prices rising while the dollar loses its value quickly. Sure, we’ve all seen the news stories written about oil prices and gold prices. But did you know that there is an investment out there that’s actually better than gold? Click here to find out what it is…

Tarzan and monatary policy

August 3, 2008

stolen from

From fiat money imposed upon us all by President Nixion we have, among other things, the following assessment.

“The US DOLLAR INDEX rallied today 31 basis points to close slightly over 72 at 72.042. Yaaawn. We’ve seen this act before. Does it mean anything? Who knows? Nobody has accused the dollar of sincerity recently.

Remember the scenes from the old Tarzan movies? Walking through the jungle, all the bearers suddenly grow quiet. They cock their heads. The safari leader, clutching his rifle, asks the lead bearer, “What is it, Mbwezi?” Dimly in the distance the throb of drums grows louder. The female star creeps closer to the safari leader, grabbing his arm and scooting behind him. The drums throb louder. The bearers drop their loads.

Now if you’ve seen one Tarzan movie, you know that the Ngali, the most bloodthirsty tribe in all of Africa who specialize in dicing their victims while still alive, are about to attack. You know that unless Tarzan shows up pretty soon, the entire safari will be salsa.

That scene is where the US dollar is right now, hiding behind safari leaders Bwana Ben and Bwana Paulson, while the wild tribes of bond & currency Ngali circle in the jungle, waiting for their chance to bring down the whole safari. Can’t you hear the drums throbbing in the distance? Bad juju.”

At times I wonder if monatary policy is actually a form of anarchisim these days.

Senate Vote Is Good News For Gun Rights

Gun owners won an important vote in the U.S. Senate this week, when more
than three dozen senators stood with Republican Sen. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma
in his battle against Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada.

Reid fell eight votes short on Monday of stopping Coburn, who has been using
parliamentary maneuvers to keep anti-gun legislation (and pork) from coming
to the Senate floor for votes.

Sen. Coburn has placed a “hold” on more than 80 bills since
January of last
year — including the bill which recently extended the National Parks gun
ban to the Washington-Rochambeau trail.

Under the rules, one senator may block the progress of an objectionable bill
by issuing a “hold” — a maneuver which prevents a bill from
speedily moving
through the legislative process.

The frustrated dictator of the Senate (a.k.a. Reid) combined 36 of the bills
which have come under Coburn’s ire into a big omnibus bill and added all
kinds of pork to entice senators into supporting the measure. Nevertheless,
Reid still fell eight votes short of what was needed to defeat Coburn’s
holds.

GOA wants to thank all of you who took the time during the last week to urge
your senators to stand with Coburn!

VETERANS DISARMAMENT UPDATE

In other Senate news, Richard Burr’s bill to repeal large parts of the
Veterans Disarmament Act is gaining steam. The Republican senator from
North Carolina introduced the Veterans Protection Act (S. 3167) after
President Bush signed a gun ban into law this year — a law which, among
other things, disarms military veterans who have been diagnosed with PTSD.
The Burr bill, which now has 18 cosponsors, would protect the rights of
military veterans and make it more difficult for the Veterans Affairs to
deny them their Second Amendment rights.

GOA members should have received their latest newsletter by now. This issue
contains a key update on the Veterans Protection Act in the House
(introduced by Rep. Virgil Goode) and answers frequently asked questions by
gun owners such as: what should I do when I’m denied by the Brady Check and
can I run a NICS check on myself?

ACTION:

1. Continue asking your two senators to stand with Sen. Coburn in defying
the strong-arm tactics of Majority Leader Reid. Further to that, urge them
to cosponsor Coburn’s bill (S. 2807) repealing the gun ban in the National
Parks. You can visit the Gun Owners Legislative Action Center at
http://www.gunowners.org/activism.htm to send your Senators the pre-written
e-mail message below.

2. Make sure you check out the latest GOA newsletter and mail the enclosed
postcards in support of the Veterans Protection Act if you have not already
done so. Thank you!

—– Pre-written letter —–

Dear Senator:

I was very happy to hear that the Senate stood with Tom Coburn and refused
to vote for Harry Reid’s pork-laden omnibus bill on Monday, July 28.

I applaud Senator Coburn’s efforts to return our government to a
constitutional basis, and I hope that the Senate will act on his bill to
repeal the National Park Service gun ban (S. 2807).

Please stand with Sen. Coburn against the strong-arm tactics of Sen. Reid
and support the repeal of the NPS gun ban.

Sincerely,

“The Axis of Idiots”

July 27, 2008

Some people! For the love of God, no matter how hard I try, I can never express myself in quite this way…

Proudly Stolen from Earl 1911: I beat ya to it Fred! LOL!

“The Axis of Idiots”

Jimmy Carter, you are the father of the Islamic Nazi movement. You threw the Shah under the bus, welcomed the Ayatollah home, and then lacked the spine to confront the terrorists when they took our embassy and our people hostage. You’re the runner-in-chief.
Bill Clinton, you played ring around the Lewinsky while the terrorists were at war with us You got us into a fight with them in Somalia and then you ran from it. Your weak-willed responses to the U.S.S. Cole and the First Trade Center Bombing and Our Embassy Bombings emboldened the killers. Each time you failed to respond adequately, they grew bolder, until 9/11/2001.
John Kerry, dishonesty is your most prominent attribute. You lied about American Soldiers in Vietnam. Your military service, like your life, is more fiction than fact. You’ve accused our military of terrorizing women and children in Iraq You called Iraq the wrong war, wrong place, wrong time, the same words you used to describe Vietnam. You’re a fake. You want to run from Iraq and abandon the Iraqis to murderers just as you did the Vietnamese. Iraq, like Vietnam, is another war that you were for, before you were against it.
John Murtha, you said our military was broken. You said we can’t win militarily in Iraq You accused United States Marines of cold-blooded murder without proof and said we should re-deploy to Okinawa. Okinawa, John? And the Democrats call you their military expert! Are you sure you didn’t suffer a traumatic brain injury while you were off building your war hero resume? You’re a sad, pitiable, corrupt and washed up politician. You’re not a Marine. You wouldn’t amount to a good pimple on a real Marine’s ass. You’re a phony and a disgrace. Run away, John.
Dick Durbin, you accused our Soldiers at Guantanamo of being Nazis, tenders of Soviet style gulags and as bad as the regime of Pol Pot, who murdered two million of his own people after your party abandoned Southeast Asia to the Communists. Now you want to abandon the Iraqis to the same fate. History was not a good teacher for you, was it? Lord help us! See Dick run.
Ted Kennedy, for days on end you held poster-sized pictures from Abu Ghraib in front of any available television camera. Al Jazeera quoted you saying that Iraqi’s torture chambers were open under new management. Did you see the news, Teddy? The Islamic Nazis demonstrated another beheading for you. If you truly supported our troops, you’d show the world poster-sized pictures of that atrocity and demand the annihilation of it. Your legislation stripping support from the South Vietnamese led to a communist victory there. You’re a bloated, drunken fool bent on repeating t he same historical blunder tha t turned freedom-seeking people over to homicidal, genocidal maniacs. To paraphrase John Murtha, all while sitting on your wide, gin-soaked rear-end in Washington.
Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Carl Levine, Barbara Boxer, Diane Feinstein, Russ Feingold, Hillary Clinton, Pat Leahy, Barack Obama, Chuck Schumer, the Hollywood Leftist morons, et al, ad nauseam: Every time you stand in front of television cameras and broadcast to the Islamic Nazis that we went to war because our President lied, that the war is wrong and our Soldiers are torturers, that we should leave Iraq, you give the Islamic butchers – the same ones that tortured and mutilated American Soldiers – cause to think that we’ll run away again, and all they have to do is hang on a little longer. It is inevitable that we, the infidels, will have to defeat the Islamic jihadists. Better to do it now on their turf, than later on ours after they have gained both strength and momentum.
American news media, the New York Times particularly: Each time you publish stories about national defense secrets and our intelligence gathering methods, you become one united with the sub-human pieces of camel dung that torture and mutilate the bodies of American Soldiers. You can’t strike up the courage to publish cartoons, but you can help Al Qaeda destroy my country. Actually, you are more dangerous to us than Al Qaeda. Think about that each time you face Mecca to admire your Pulitzer..
You are America’s “AXIS OF IDIOTS.” Your Collective Stupidity will destroy us. Self-serving politics and terrorist-abetting news scoops are more important to you than our national security or the lives of innocent civilians and Soldiers. It bothers you that defending ourselves gets in the way of your elitist sport of politics and your ignorant editorializing. There is as much blood on your hands as is on the hands of murdering terrorists. Don’t ever doubt that. Your frolics will only serve to extend this war as they extended Vietnam. If you want our Soldiers home as you claim, knock off the crap and try supporting your country ahead of supporting your silly political aims and aiding our enemies.
Yes, I’m questioning your patriotism. Your loyalty ends with self. I’m also questioning why you’re stealing air that decent Americans could be breathing. You don’t deserve the protection of our men in uniform. You need to run away from this war, this country. Leave the war to the people who have the will to see it through and the country to people who are willing to defend it.
No, Mr. President, you don’t get off the hook, either. Our country has two enemies: Those who want to destroy us from the outside and those who attempt it from within. Your Soldiers are dealing with the outside force. It’s your obligation to support them by confronting the AXIS OF IDIOTS.
America must hear it from you that these self-centered people are harming our country, abetting the enemy and endangering our safety. Well up a little anger, please, and channel it toward the appropriate target. You must prosecute those who leak national security secrets to the media. You must prosecute those in the media who knowingly publish those secrets.
Our Soldiers need you to confront the enemy that they cannot. They need you to do it now.

National Park Service Gun Ban Expanding

National Park Service Gun Ban Expanding
— 600-mile Trail to be added to NPS

ACTION: Urge your two senators to support S. 2619 — a bill introduced by
Sen. Tom Coburn — to repeal the gun ban on National Park Service lands.
Also, please urge them to stand with Sen. Coburn against the strong-arm
tactics of Majority Leader Reid, who is trying to silence Coburn and thwart
his pro-gun agenda.

You can skip to the bottom and use the pre-written letter below to contact
your two senators right away. Or, you can first read the following alert to
better understand the battle Sen. Coburn is embroiled in and how Sen. Reid
is trying to use his position as Majority Leader to trample Coburn (and the
Second Amendment).

Wednesday, July 23, 2008

On July 10, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to designate the
Washington-Rochambeau Trail, which stretches 600 miles from Rhode Island to
Yorktown, Virginia, as a National Historic Trail. Such a designation would
place the trail under the jurisdiction of the Department of Interior and the
National Park Service, thus subjecting the Washington-Rochambeau to the
current NPS gun ban.

Carrying firearms on land controlled by the NPS is prohibited, even if the
state in which the land is located allows firearms. The only way you can
legally have a firearm anywhere on National Park land currently is by having
it unloaded and inaccessible, such as locked up in your trunk.

While the Interior Department recently (after seven years of foot-dragging)
proposed new rules to partially reverse the gun ban, they have not yet taken
effect. If and when they do go into effect, most gun owners would still not
be allowed to possess firearms on these lands because, among other problems
with the rule, open carry would remain prohibited. Congress still needs to
take action to make the gun ban repeal complete and permanent.

Before the bill passed the House, Rep. Rob Bishop (R-UT) filed an amendment
with the Rules Committee to protect the Second Amendment on the trail. His
amendment would have required that state and local laws govern firearms
possession and carrying on the trail. The Rules Committee changed that
language and made it apply only to hunting.

Rep. Bishop denounced the Committee during debate on the measure, pointing
out that the committee “did not defend all of the Second
Amendment, only the
so-called hunting rights, which is not, not the purpose of the Second
Amendment.”

Rep. Bishop made a motion to send the bill back to committee with
instructions to restore the pro-gun language. His motion narrowly failed,
211-202.

The bill (H.R. 1286) now heads to the Senate where the situation is much
more complex. Dr. Tom Coburn (R-OK) has been a leader on repealing the NPS
gun ban. Sen. Coburn previously introduced a bill (S. 2619) to rescind the
ban, but it remains bottled up by senate leadership. Earlier this year,
Sen. Coburn entered into a so-called unanimous consent agreement with Senate
Majority Leader Harry Reid to get a vote on his repeal language, but Sen.
Reid reneged on his promise and blocked the vote.

Sen. Coburn remains committed to forcing a vote on killing the NPS gun ban,
and Sen. Reid seems equally committed to blocking that vote. Reid’s most
recent maneuver to silence Coburn is to introduce (as one measure) a package
of bills that Coburn has held up on constitutional grounds. Rolling many
bills into one, loaded with pork and pet projects to dole out to a variety
of senators, is a transparent attempt to erode the widespread support Sen.
Coburn has among his colleagues.

If Reid is successful in passing so many bills at one time without debate,
the ability of individual senators to force deliberate consideration and
roll call votes on important legislation will be threatened.

The reason each state has two senators is stop large population centers
(such as an unholy alliance of NYC, Chicago and Los Angeles) from dictating
their will upon the rest of the country. Historically, the rules of the
Senate have always allowed any individual senator to keep the full body from
acting in an unconstitutional manner.

If other senators allow Reid to act as the dictator of the senate, Coburn’s
ability to stop the expansion of the NPS gun ban will be severely
threatened.

Unless Sen. Coburn’s effort is successful in repealing the gun ban, the 600
mile Washington-Rochambeau — which encompasses parts of major thoroughfares
such as I-95 — will become yet another Second Amendment infringement zone
effecting hundreds of thousands of gun owners up and down the East Coast.

Dear Senator,

Senator Tom Coburn is leading the fight against the National Park Service
gun ban.

While the Interior Department recently (after seven years of foot-dragging)
proposed new rules to partially reverse the gun ban, they have not yet taken
effect. If and when they do go into effect, most gun owners would still not
be allowed to possess firearms on these lands because, among other problems

Senator Coburn is the sponsor of a bill, S. 2619, to make the gun ban repeal
complete and permanent. I urge you to become a cosponsor of this
legislation.

In addition, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has used unprecedented
procedural maneuvers to silence Dr. Coburn and to keep this bill or a
similar amendment from coming to the floor of the Senate. Please stand with
Sen. Coburn against the strong-arm tactics of Sen. Reid and support the
repeal of the NPS gun ban.

Sincerely,

Olofson Relief Fund

David Olofson has been subjected to a gross miscarriage of justice.
What happened to Olofson could happen to any American who owns a
semi-automatic firearm.

He was convicted of knowingly transferring an unregistered machine gun
— a standard semi-auto rifle which fired two three-round bursts and
then jammed. Gun owners call that a malfunction. The federal government
calls it an easy way to get a felony conviction. Olofson was sentenced
to 30 months in federal prison.

David Olofson is an information technology professional with a wife,
three children and a mortgage. Until his conviction, he was also in the
National Guard.

The Olofson Relief Fund has been set up to allow concerned Americans to
help the Olfoson’s make their mortgage and (their one) car payments
while Dave is unable to work.

If you decide to contribute to the Olofson Relief Fund, your credit
card will be charged monthly for the amount you have indicated. This
will continue until Olofson is out of prison — or you notify us to
discontinue the charges.

Gun Owners of America is acting as the agent for the fund. All moneys
collected will be transferred regularly to the mortgage and car loan
holders.

To make a monthly contribution, go to:
http://www.gunowners.org/olofson.htm

To read about this case in greater detail, see:
http://www.gunowners.org/op0850.htm

That recall was pretty well publicized. If anyone has a copy of it in an old magazine please contact Gun Owners of America. Similar things have happened over the years with 1911 model pistols when the sear became worn, as well as Marlin Rifles and just about every semi-Auto that has ever been produced.

GOP Candidates and Gun Rights

November 26, 2007

I opened my email this morning, and began to read Townhall Daily. Specifically, an article by Ken Blackwell.

http://www.townhall.com/columnists/KenBlackwell/2007/11/26/gun_rights_and_presidential_politics

I found at least part of it ludicrous to say the least!

         “Mitt Romney, Fred Thompson, John McCain, and Mike Huckabee are staunch Second Amendment advocates

I would suggest that anyone that has even a passing interest in individual rights to check the Gun Owners of America website to see just where these men really stand. Figure it out. The taking of inalienable rights based upon less than a felony conviction, or serious mental disability, and ex post facto law are all immoral, as well as very much unconstitutional. Every one of the candidates mentioned have supported those things in the past. I for one, am sick and tired of having to choose the lessor of the evils.

We need a Barry Goldwater or Ronald Reagan to get this great nation back on track.

Free the Browns from Tyranny!

October 31, 2007

People need to know about things like this.

Fw: [LPCO] Free the Browns petition End IRS Tyranny

Tue Oct 30, 2007 12:34 pm (PST)

———- Forwarded Message ———-
Please consider signing the following petition. The Browns gained national attention when they armed themselves and held off the feds for eight months. Now it is your turn. Either ask to be shown the law or submit to tyranny.

The petition is for a fair trial in the U.S. Federal Court of Appeals and reads as follows:

Congress shall make no law respecting the right of the people to petition the government for a redress of grievances. (United States Constitution, First Amendment).

The case of United States vs. Edward and Elaine Brown was not about income taxes. For more than a dozen years, they simply asked the Internal Revenue Service to show them the law that specifically makes them liable to pay the federal income tax, all the while stating that if the government could do so, they would gladly pay all income taxes and never question the law again. Instead, the Internal Revenue Service ignored their requests, year after year, although the Browns were constitutionally entitled to an answer. Then, in 2004, after never responding to any of the Browns’ countless requests, the Internal Revenue Service, along with a SWAT team, U.S. marshals, and state and local police, raided Elaine’s office building and took each of the Browns, by force, into custody.

In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor. (United States Constitution, Sixth Amendment).

Elaine Brown, representing herself and her husband, Ed, hand crafted more than 50 motions during the course of their trial. All legal experts who read the motions agreed that they were flawlessly written and all within the scope of the law and in accordance with established court procedures. All but a handful of the motions were denied, many without objection from the prosecution or without explanation. The Browns were not allowed to present witnesses, or evidence, or to cite case law. The jury was also instructed to return a verdict based solely on whether or not the Browns paid federal income taxes or filed tax returns for the years in question. Also, the Browns were technically not charged with a crime, they were charged with two penalty clauses. No indictment ever cited a statute that showed the defendants liable to pay an income tax or file a tax return.

Due to the fact that because the Browns’ constitutionally guaranteed rights were not honored, they now sit in prison, separated from each other. Their livelihood has been taken away, their property confiscated, and they have been financially destroyed. When they are finally released from prison, they will be homeless, penniless, unemployed, and in their 70s. No government employee, or public servant, has yet answered their question and showed them the law subjecting them to a federal income tax on their wages.

The Browns are being destroyed for asking a question. Furthermore, the Internal Revenue Service is illegally confiscating more than $3 trillion worth of property and assets for an alleged, and unproven, debt of only $650,000. Our servant government is obligated to answer their question, but instead it locked them up and destroyed their lives. This is unacceptable.

We hereby petition the United States government, specifically the United States Federal Court of Appeals, 1 Courthouse Square, Boston, MA, to reconsider the appellate denial of Edward Lewis and Elaine Alice Brown. We also petition the United States government to cease the seizure of the Browns’ properties and assets until such time that a fair trial, as defined by the United States Constitution, can be executed.

You can sign the petition at

http://www.petitiononline. com/brownirs

To end IRS Tyranny forever pass the Fair Tax to abolish the IRS and Income taxes, then repeal the 16th amendment to make sure it never comes back.
