Insurgent Butcher Dead?

May 24, 2008

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24806060

Manuel “Sureshot” Marulanda, famed killer of women, children, old men and women, and avowed supporter of actual physical torture might be dead. he may not have the blubbering followers that Che Guevara does, but he has caused more tragedies than Che ever hoped to accomplish.

Had a son or daughter that got snared into cocaine? He funded his, and other armies by selling it, or providing security for the drug cartels. He also allowed the rape of innocent boys and girls by his perverted Corp of “freedom fighters.”

I sincerely hope that this report is true. Then perhaps the people of Columbia will have a chance at Liberty.

Canadian terror suspect …

May 18, 2008

This story is a bit stale, but i thought that it still might be of interest to many. This citizen of an allied nation has been linked to international terrorism, and a bounty was offered for his capture. Allegedly, he was tortured by a secondary nation. Seems a lot of people are upset at that possible turn of events. At the same time, by implication, they are not upset with his apparent activities. I also would want to know just what they are calling “torture.” A mind trick, like water boarding perhaps? Burning bamboo shoots beneath the fingernails? Or perhaps the Che Guevara special, a twelve volt battery applied to various parts of the anatomy of a person hanging by the wrists that has been doused in saline solution? What about the people that he harmed. Is this some sort of justice for them? Then, the story perpetuates the myth that aggressive interrogation methods are not trustworthy in spite of recent discoveries. All intelligence gained from any methodology needs to be vetted no matter the source, and no system or method is one hundred percent perfect.

All that is moot in my mind though if this guy is a terrorist. For those on the left that love these types of people, like Osama bin Laden  and Che Guevara I say too bad. I have seen terrorism first hand, from the Viet Cong disemboweling village headmen and their wives before their families and villagers, to the PFLP gaining Allah’s blessing by killing children they all have one thing in common. That being that the only thing that they truly respect is brutal, and blunt force. If that is what it takes to achieve victory in this war with “The religion of peace” then so be it.

OTTAWA (AFP) — A US intelligence agency paid a 500,000-dollar bounty to Pakistan’s military for the arrest of the Canadian son of a suspected Al-Qaeda financier, said court documents.

According to an October 2004 memo to the head of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) ordered released by Canada’s federal court, Abdullah Khadr was wanted for “supporting insurgent activity in Pakistan and Afghanistan.”

Thus, Khadr “is deemed to be a national security threat and has a 500,000 US dollar outstanding bounty for his capture,” said the memo published on the website of the daily Globe and Mail, which fought for its disclosure.

Khadr is the eldest son of Egyptian-born

Canadian national Ahmed Said Khadr, and the brother of Omar Khadr, the only Canadian held at the US naval base in Guantanamo, Cuba.

He was held in Pakistan for almost a year before returning in 2005 to Canada, where he was arrested and jailed, and is now fighting extradition to the United States.

Justice officials inadvertantly disclosed the top secret memo in court filings last year and fought the Globe and Mail not to publish it, but lost.

Federal Court Judge Richard said in his decision: “The fact that a foreign state paid a bounty for the apprehension of a Canadian citizen abroad and that Canadian officials were aware of it … is a matter in which the public would have a legitimate interest.”

“The evidence heard in camera supports the conclusion that the bounty was offered and paid by the United States,” he added.

Khadr’s lawyers maintain that their client was tortured while in Pakistan and his statements to US, Canadian and Pakistani agents are therefore tainted. Khadr attorney Nathan Whitling told the Globe and Mail that Washington was guilty of “outsourcing torture.”

“Rather than getting its own hands dirty, the US simply paid the Musharraf regime 500,000 dollars to arrest Mr Khadr, knowing full well what Pakistan would do to him.

“The US then did all it could to hide this secret arrangement from the Canadian judge hearing Mr Khadr’s case,” Whitling charged.

The RMCP memo says Khadr was also a “primary target” of Canada’s anti-terrorism squad “for his role with (Al-Qaeda) training camps.”

As well, it says Khadr “is deemed to be a great intelligence asset due to his close relationship” with Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden and other members of the terror network.

Khadr’s brother Abdurahman Khadr has admitted on Canadian television that the family knew bin Laden, and that Al-Qaeda operatives trained him and some of his siblings in Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, his brother Omar Khadr faces an upcoming US military tribunal on charges that he murdered a US army medic in Afghanistan in 2002 when he was 15 years old.

Omar Khadr was arrested the same year and has since been held at the US naval base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

The court documents also include a transcript of an RCMP interview in which Khadr says he is not a member of Al-Qaeda, but adds, “I only buy and sell weapons for Al-Qaeda.”

Appeasement by any other name.

May 15, 2008

Every time that President seems to grow a pair of brass balls he does a turnaround. One of the major concerns of the American people is Barak Obama’s willingness to appease those that simply want our collective heads on a stick. Figure it out Mister President, your “legacy” is going to be one likened to that of Jimmy Carter. A wimp administration. Not to mention that you have broken your bond with we, the people, by negotiating with a terrorist nation, thereby violating the pledge that you made after the attacks of September eleventh, namely, Iran. The state sponsor of Hezbollah. Remember them? If not then perhaps you should refresh your memory about them. Those are the very people that Obama wants to parlay with, and that, would be a disaster that will be felt worldwide.

So, what brings all this on?

WASHINGTON – Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama accused President Bush on Thursday of launching a “false political attack” with a comment about appeasing terrorists and radicals.

The Illinois senator interpreted the remark as a slam against him but the White House denied that Bush’s words were in any way directed at Obama, who has said as president he would be willing to personally meet with Iran’s leaders and those of other regimes the United States has deemed rogue.

In a speech to Israel’s Knesset, Bush said: “Some seem to believe that we should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along.

“We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: ‘Lord, if I could only have talked to Hitler, all this might have been avoided.’ We have an obligation to call this what it is — the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history.”

Obama responded with a statement, seizing on Bush’s remarks even as it was unclear to whom the president was referring.

“It is sad that President Bush would use a speech to the Knesset on the 60th anniversary of Israel’s independence to launch a false political attack,” Obama said in the statement his aides distributed. “George Bush knows that I have never supported engagement with terrorists, and the president’s extraordinary politicization of foreign policy and the politics of fear do nothing to secure the American people or our stalwart ally Israel.”

The White House said Bush’s comment wasn’t a reference to Obama.  ~snip~

Grow some balls Mister President, brass ones preferably.

Renewed Attack on Privacy of Gun Buyers

May 4, 2008

Lautenberg is back at it again with yet another assault on the American people. When will he ever be sated? I doubt that will ever happen. He is such an egotistical authoritarian maniac that he will probably be bossing around the people that embalm him. Now he is attempting to link firearms buyers to terrorism.  Well Senator, you are the terrorist, and enemy of the American people.

Renewed Attack on Privacy of Gun Buyers

Friday, May 02, 2008

This week, anti-gun U.S. Senator Frank R. Lautenberg (D-NJ) introduced National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) registration legislation that would invade the privacy rights of law-abiding gun owners.

Cosponsored by like-minded Sens. Robert Menendez (D-NJ), Carl Levin (D-MI), Joseph Lieberman (I-CT), Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), Jack Reed (D-RI), and Charles Schumer (D-NY), S. 2935 would, among other things, require the FBI to retain records of cleared firearm transactions for at least 180 days.  Current law requires federally-licensed firearm dealers to conduct a background check on a prospective buyer using NICS prior to selling a firearm.  NICS creates an audit log of the purchase during the course of the search.  Under current Justice Department regulations, those records must be destroyed within 24 hours to preserve the lawful purchaser’s privacy.  The Clinton Administration originally proposed keeping these records for as long as 180 days.  NRA successfully fought to reduce this time period to 24 hours.  Lautenberg’s legislation would undo this regulation.

Once again trying to create a link where none exists, Lautenberg opined, “We must overturn the ill-conceived law mandating destruction of this data so we can successfully combat gun violence and terrorism in America.”

This latest anti-gun scheme should further remind gun owners of the importance of this year’s elections.  S. 2935 demonstrates that threats to our Second Amendment rights remain very much alive.  Sen. Lautenberg has a long and well-documented anti-gun record, and in sponsoring legislation that is a gross invasion of law-abiding gun owners’ privacy, his intentions are clearly aimed at further restriction of those rights.

Update On Pakistan from Eye Witness Muhammad « Peace and Freedom ‘08

Update On Pakistan from Eye Witness Muhammad « Peace and Freedom ‘08

This is an interesting piece. However, it seems as though it is filled with double-speak. That could be do to language barriers though. Peace in the tribal regions? Has it ever been so? This is a difficult part of the world, it always has been that way. Much as I would laud any progress there, I have serious doubts that a true state of peace will be established. Please note the authors last paragraph…

Dear Sir, situation is tribal areas is still critical as terrorists have been killing and terrorising the people. The people of tribal areas are grateful to you for your kindness and love with them. Your positive approach has now been some positive change. A lot of thanks.

Hezbollah

April 16, 2008

For quite some time I have been posting about Hezbolla already being among us here within these United States, and that their plans for us include complete destruction. Often scoffed at for saying these things I have been ridiculed and called ignorant. Well, it would appear that some other people actually read intelligence reports, and listen to what our erstwhile enemies say.

Hezbollah Training in Iran for War

Kfar Shuba, Lebanon — In south Lebanon, where the 2006 summertime war between Israel and militant Shiite Hizbullah was played out, villages are abuzz with talk of another devastating conflict between the two archfoes.

Over the past few weeks, military activity on both sides of the border has contributed to war jitters as both Israel and Hizbullah are seemingly poised to strike.

The Israeli military just wrapped up a nationwide war drill it dubbed “Turning Point 2,” and Hizbullah appears to have devised new battle plans that include cross-border raids into Israel and has mounted a sweeping recruitment and training drive, even marshaling non-Shiites and former Israeli-allied militiamen into new reservist units.

“The holy fighters are completely focused on the next war, even ignoring families and friends. They are just waiting for the next war,” says Jawad, a Hizbullah fighter.

Still, many diplomats and analysts in Beirut say that neither side has an interest in coming to blows again, despite the buildup.

“The elements of conflict are still there, and it is possible that something small can get out of hand with neither side wanting it,” says Timur Goksel, a university lecturer in Beirut and veteran observer of the Hizbullah-Israeli conflict. But, he adds, the heightened activity is “mainly posturing.”

Hizbullah continues to recruit and train new combatants at a furious pace. Indeed, it has noticeably increased in the past two months, ever since the assassination in Damascus of Imad Mughnieh, Hizbullah’s top military commander, sparked fears of a fresh war.

Many recruits are sent to Iran for 45-day advanced training sessions, according to Hizbullah fighters. Jawad says he recently returned from Iran, his second trip in a year, where he was taught how to fire antitank missiles.

“There’s a lot of training,” he says. “The holy fighters are leaving universities, shops, places of work to go and train.”

New tactics are being taught, including how to “seize and hold” positions, a requirement that Hizbullah’s guerrilla fighters – traditionally schooled in hit-and-run methods – never needed before. One local commander in south Lebanon said that Hizbullah had fought a defensive war in 2006.

“Next time, we will be on the offensive and it will be a totally different kind of war,” he says.

Jawad says that the next war will be “fought more in Israel than in Lebanon,” one comment of many from various fighters that suggest Hizbullah is planning commando raids into northern Israel.

Hizbullah admits that its rocket arsenal has increased since 2006 and it has the ability to strike anywhere inside Israel.

Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah, the party’s leader, in February said that Hizbullah had evolved into an “unparalleled new school” that is part guerrilla force and part conventional army.

A European diplomat in Beirut, who has been watching Hizbullah’s preparations, likened attacking the organization to “punching a sponge” – it absorbs the blow then bounces back – and questioned whether Israel still fully appreciates what it is up against.

Hizbullah’s military buildup is not confined to Shiite Lebanese. Sunnis, Christians, and Druze also are being recruited into reservist units called “Saraya,” or battalions.

Building ties to Sunnis serves for Hizbullah the double purpose of expanding support while also helping improve Shiite-Sunni relations, strained due to political divisions in Lebanon.

In the southern coastal town of Sidon, a Sunni Islamist militant group called the Fajr Forces, which fought invading Israeli troops in the early 1980s, has been resurrected as a Hizbullah ally.

Sheikh Afif Naboulsi, a prominent Hizbullah cleric, last month was quoted as saying that next time “the Israelis will find resistance fighters from all sects and denominations.”

Hizbullah has been particularly active, according to residents, in the eastern pocket of the zone patrolled by the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). The area is the mainly Sunni Arqoub district and faces the Shebaa Farms, an Israeli-occupied mountainside running along Lebanon’s border with the Golan Heights.

Having lost ground here to political rivals after the 2006 war, Hizbullah is now seeking to regain its influence through funding a new group called the Arab Resistance Front, a reservist force for local Sunnis. Even former members of the now disbanded Israeli-allied South Lebanon Army militia have joined the new group, according to local residents.

“Hizbullah will not turn down anyone who wants to join the resistance,” says Izzat Qadri, the Sunni mayor of Kfar Shuba and an ally of Hizbullah.

Despite the frequent recruiting in the border zone, officials with UNIFIL say there is no evidence Hizbullah has reactivated its bunkers and rocket-firing positions that the militants abandoned at the end of the 2006 war.

Hizbullah fighters presently are deployed along a new front line above the Litani River, north of the area patrolled by UNIFIL. In the past 18 months, Hizbullah has purchased land from local Druze and Christians, constructed an entire Shiite-populated village, and turned the mountains and valleys of the area into sealed-off military zones.

“There are armed and uniformed Hizbullah men crawling all over the hills. We often hear gunfire and explosions from their training,” says one local resident.

Why is West after Pakistan’s nukes?

February 3, 2008

source: http://rupeenews.com/2008/02/03/why-is-west-after-pakistan%e2%80%99s-nukes-by-maftab/

You will have to read this entire story to fully understand the obvious hatred that this man has for western society, and the United States in particular. Well Mister Aftab, get a clue:

  1. Those “innocent” Japanese were actively supporting mass killings all across Asia.
  2. We do have people on the ground in Pakistan, and there is the very real possibility of a Tali ban style regime taking over the nation.
  3. Israel exists, get used to it. Hit them with nuclear weapons expect retaliation.
  4. Israel has not threatened anyone with annihilation. Muslim nations have threatened Israel, and the United States with annihilation on many occasions.
  5. What the hell would we, as in the USA, want your countries weapons for? We have plenty of our own.

Suicide Bombers… They don’t blow them like they used too!

It seems that our opponents on the Jihad side of things are dipping to the bottom of the barrel for personnel in search of martyrdom. Indeed, perhaps they should return to using children, at least they don’t stumble like a drunkard…

From correspondents in Khost, Afghanistan

January 24, 2008 12:39pm

A WOULD-be suicide bomber fell down a flight of stairs and blew himself up as he headed out for an attack in Afghanistan, police say.

It was the second such incident in two days, with another man killing himself and three others on Tuesday when his bomb-filled waistcoat exploded as he was putting it on in the southern town of Lashkar Gah.

Yesterday’s blast was in a busy market area of the eastern town of Khost, a deputy provincial police chief said.

The would-be attacker tripped as he was leaving a building apparently to target an opening ceremony for a mosque that was expected to be attended by Afghan and international military officials, said Sakhi Mir.

“Coming down the stairs, he fell down and exploded. Two civilian women and a man were wounded,” Mir said.

Suicide attacks are regular feature of an insurgency led by the extremist Taliban movement that was in government between 1996 and 2001. The most deadly was in November 2007 and killed nearly 80 people, most of them school students.

Lay off the opium and hashish if you want to murder more women and children Muhammad..

Immigration enforcement… « I am a shadow

First, as a University student you should know not to rely on spell check alone. Go and re-read what you posted.

How can such a large majority have any fear..? How many people were here in America when a small band of people changed the world by flying into buildings? That is how. It has been pretty well documented that Islamic terrorist’s are in America, and that most got here after being smuggled across the border with Mexico.

Then there is the issue of law. We are a nation of laws, not of men. It has nothing at all to do with compassion, humanity, or weakness.
