Mexico: Play the race card… Again?

June 9, 2010

This is getting old. Twice in recent days Mexican citizens have been killed in the United States. While the latest incident is still under investigation the previous one involved a man that had been here for many years, and was actually being deported. He became violent, and got tazed. At autopsy he was found to have been acutely intoxicated with methamphetamine. Imagine that? Loud mouth Calderon accused the United States of torture. Go figure…

Now, the Governor of one of the failed nation state Mexico is playing the race card in explaining away what happened during the second incident. Tell me El Presidente, and Governor. How many Americans were killed by your criminals that have come across our borders lately? What sort of lame excuses will you make up about that?

How’s about Mexico just going ahead and openly declaring war? For some strange reason I just don’t see Mexico having the macho intestinal fortitude to do that…

And then we have this…

“National Security: A Mexican cartel plots to blow up a dam — in Texas! Another pack of Mexican terrorists takes cash from Hugo Chavez. And what is Washington wringing its hands about? Why, racism in Arizona. If still more proof is needed that the border needs to be secured, the latest threats emerging from Mexico should do the trick. Together, they signal that the country’s war could advance to a more savage stage. … These blood-chilling scenarios aren’t fantasies. They are signs of an emerging threat that gets little attention from U.S. lawmakers. Instead of focusing on making the border secure, they play partisan political games, pandering to potential voting blocs by dangling amnesty in front of illegal immigrants, grandstanding against Arizona’s effort to enforce federal law and coming up with one excuse after another for not erecting a border fence. As illegal armed groups plot to blow up infrastructure even in this country, Democrats in Congress are more concerned about an illegal immigrant getting his feelings hurt if a police officer in Arizona asks him to show some ID.” —Investor’s Business Daily

Political mayhem?

Arizona Immigration Brouhaha

Did these guys just come to work?

Last week, Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, a Republican, signed a tough new law designed to crack down on the flood of illegal immigration in the state and the violence and mayhem that has accompanied it. Political mayhem is the price of the law’s enactment.

Stepped-up enforcement of the border in California and Texas has funneled much of the illegal alien traffic and cross-border smuggling through Arizona. A sharp increase in crime has resulted, with Phoenix now being the kidnap capital of the United States. Ranchers near the border live under a state of siege, but demands that the federal government take aggressive remedial action have been unavailing. The recent murder of Rob Krentz, a kind-hearted rancher who often assisted desperate immigrants abused and abandoned by their “coyote” guides, prompted widespread outrage at the federal government’s fundamental failure to protect its citizens against a dangerous foreign invasion.

The race-baiting grievance mongers wasted no time in denouncing the law. Vandals smeared refried beans in the shape of a swastika on the Arizona Capitol building (which we find to be an incredibly strange mixed message). Some leftist church leaders denounced the law as “hateful.” Race hustler Jesse Jackson called it “terrorism.” Calling it “stupid,” “an embarrassment” and “racist,” Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik (Tucson) said he would refuse to enforce it.

Latino activist and far-left Congressman Raul Grijalva (D-AZ) called for a boycott of his own state, saying, “I support some very targeted economic sanctions on the state of Arizona. We will be asking national organizations — civil, religious, political — not to have conferences and conventions in the state of Arizona. There has to be an economic consequence to this action and to this legislation.” We’re sure Arizona’s 2.3 million unemployed will thank Grijalva for his principled stand.

Meanwhile, in a stunning display of hypocrisy, the government of Mexico issued a travel advisory and expressed concern about the rights of its citizens in the United States. Of course, Mexico plays by much more stringent rules when dealing with its own immigration issues.

These critics either haven’t read the law or, more likely, don’t want to be bothered with reality. Among other things, Arizona’s new law makes it a state crime for people to be in Arizona if they are in the United States illegally. If the police have an otherwise lawful encounter with someone, and if they have “reasonable suspicion” that the person is in the United States illegally, the police are required to ask for documentation of immigration status. An Arizona driver’s license is presumptive proof of lawful status.

The law specifically forbids police from basing their actions solely on someone’s race or ethnicity. It also compels the police to base their “reasonable suspicion” on criteria that are permissible under the U.S. and Arizona constitutions. Moreover, when she signed the bill, Gov. Brewer issued an executive order directing additional training specifically to avoid racial profiling when the law is enforced.

The new law, which in many places quotes federal law verbatim, was enacted because of the failure at the federal level to enforce those same laws. None of this matters to the Left. With tactics straight out of Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals,” they have demonized everyone who dares stand up for responsible enforcement of our laws and for the protection of our citizens.

Meanwhile, Barack Obama declared that the nation may not have the “appetite” for an immigration fight this year, so he removed the issue from his agenda. That’s a relief.

“So Arizona passes a tough law against illegal immigration and suddenly they’ve got Washington’s attention. One poll finds 70 percent of Arizona voters support this new law, so, ‘Hey, maybe we better do something, too.’ And like the lemmings they are when they smell a chance to score some political points, and some of them need a lot of help with the midterms coming up, there is now talk of rushing immigration reform through Congress. President Obama called the Arizona law ‘misguided.’ What’s misguided, Mr. President, is the federal government’s ongoing refusal to enforce the laws that are already on the books. Read the Arizona law. Parts of it are word-for-word the same as the federal statutes which continue to be all but ignored. Now we’ll hear all sorts of blathering from our Washington gerbils about the need for a new federal law. There’ll be news conferences and interviews and committee hearings and draft legislation and polling — all the usual carnival acts that accompany any hot button Washington issue. Instead of simply closing the borders and enforcing the existing law so they could turn their attention to something like the national debt and the fact that the country is bankrupt, instead we’re going to get this freak show. Washington’s position on illegal immigration is patently dishonest from the top down. No enforcement, no border security, just pandering to the Hispanic voters and the corporations that hire the illegals. And then, when one of our states that’s being ravaged by the presence of 460,000 illegal aliens inside its borders does something about it, the president says that’s misguided. What a shame.” –CNN commentator Jack Cafferty

Epic fail obama: Election year fight over AZ Law

April 24, 2010

As the impostor in chief continues his arrogant leadership methodology complete with the Mussolini chin angle the people of Arizona did what neither him, nor Bush, nor any President since Eisenhower has. That being to actually do something about illegal immigration.

Leftest response was immediate, and, as was to be expected the race card was pulled faster than a revolver from a town marshal’s holster in an old west movie gunfight. Next it will be the “it’s for the children” card and the “Constitutional” card… Uh, sorry, they played that card before I could finish typing! I simply find it nothing less than amazing. The hypocrisy of the left apparently truly does have no boundaries.

Let’s play this out a bit shall we? First, the obamanites know that they are going to get their collective butts kicked in the upcoming election if they cannot come up with something divisive that they can rally their troops around. After all, the backlash from the obviously un-Constitutional obamacare has stirred things up in the United States like nothing since the Viet Nam War. Indeed, I would submit that this is an extension of that. Just take a look at the players in the card game now.

So, now that the extremist’s branch of the Democrat Party are in power, and passing all sorts of things that have raised the ire of the American people they need something that will split them upĀ  into factions that can be divided up piecemeal, and easily defeated. Then we will have four more years, at minimum, of not just “big government.” But overbearing, arrogant, better than thou types that will become the new American aristocracy.

They need to gamble. Hence the “Card Game” metaphor. The “cards” are all based upon fallacies of course. But they do raise populist anger to the degree that can,and will break the unity developed by the Tea Party and other similar groups. Divide and conquest. It is an old stratagem, and it works. The only question is how many cards to play before the opposition folds. After all, those other cards may be needed at a later time…

When to play a card? When you have no rational, logical, or ethical argument to present.

  • The Race Card: Always a good stand by, it can be played time and time again. Just find a new twist. In this, the instant situation? They will call going after those that flaunt our laws racial profiling. Never mind that the people that are coming here to do evil things to us fit a particular profile. Be that a muslin terrorist, or a member of organized crime.
  • The Constitutional Card: That card can only be played when it suits them. They are therefore claiming that questioning people about their legal status to be allowed to be in this country constitutes an illegal search. So be it. Having said that? Where the hell are they when it comes to our First Amendment Rights? The sheer vitriol from the left about the Town Hall meetings exposes them for what they are. The constant assault on our Second Amendment Rights further shows what a bunch of hypocrites they are when it comes to Constitutional rights. Just look at the back door gun control being pursued by Clinton at the U.N. Need I really continue?
  • “It’s for the children Card”: The twist on this card is that people come here from other nations. Then make babies, and according to our law, those baby’s are indeed American citizen’s. There is a legal theory that deals with poisoned fruit. That is fruit that has fallen from a poisoned tree. In other words, you can’t use evidence that was obtained illegally. If their children were born here as a direct result of the parents knowingly breaking our laws? Too bad, they are fruit from poisoned trees so to speak. Send them back to the countries of their parents origin along with the parents.

That is just a partial list of course… Not to mention that I didn’t list all the wonderful things that the illegals do when they get here. Like bring in drugs, guns that citizen’s are not allowed to own. Rape, murder, kidnap, and so on… Here are a few links to read so that you, the reader, will know more about the subject which I am writing about.
