US ties Iran to plot to assassinate Saudi diplomat

WASHINGTON (AP) – The Obama administration on Tuesday accused agents of the Iranian government of being involved in a plan to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to the United States. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said the thwarted plot would further isolate Tehran.

Two people, including a member of Iran’s special operations unit known as the Quds Force, were charged in New York federal court. Justice Department officials say they were working with a person they thought was an associate of a Mexican drug cartel to target the Saudi diplomat, Adel Al-Jubeir. But their contact was an informant for the Drug Enforcement Agency who told U.S. authorities about all their planning.

FBI Director Robert Mueller said many lives could have been lost in the plot to kill the ambassador with bombs in the U.S. But Preet Bharara, the U.S. attorney in Manhattan, said no explosives were actually placed and no one was in any danger because of the informant’s cooperation with authorities.

Attorney General Eric Holder said the U.S. would hold Iran accountable. Clinton told The Associated Press the plot would further isolate Iran as the United States put those allegedly involved under sanctions.

Does anyone feel just a little bit skeptical, a tiny bit suspicious that as Eric Holder is about to be subpoenaed in the Fast and Furious debacle, as Obama and his *house of cards* is so close to falling, that all of a sudden there’s an evil plot to assassinate the Saudi ambassador brought up and SPLATTERED all over the news?

Manssor Arbabsiar, a 56-year-old U.S. citizen who also holds an Iranian passport, was charged along with Gholam Shakuri, who authorities said was a Quds Force member and is still at large in Iran. The complaint filed in federal court says Arbabsiar confessed that his cousin, Abdul Reza Shahlai, was a high-ranking member of the Quds Force who told him to hire someone in the narcotics business to target Al-Jubeir and that Shakuri was his cousin’s deputy who helped provide funding for the plot.

OK, so, how about this? Manssor Arbabsiar was arrested Sept. 29 and has been in custody since then. That’s 2 weeks that Obama and Holder have had this guy *on ice*, and all of a sudden, TODAY, it’s a BIG story?

Do you still think it’s not a ploy by Holder and Obama, the coincidence of this release being made as Holder is about to be subpoenaed and only a few hours before the nation sees the next GOP debate?

Not an attempt to get Holder’s name OFF of the front page and divert attention to a plot that is designed to scare the hell out of American citizens? Seriously?

Folks, there are NO coincidences in the Obama administration. There is a method to their madness and a rhyme for every reason. These people don’t do anything if there’s not a very good reason to do so, and protecting Holder, Obama, Clinton and God knows how many others in that evil regime is their *Job 1*.

Justice Department officials say Arbabsiar approached the DEA informant in Mexico to ask about his knowledge of explosives for a plot to blow up the Saudi embassy in Washington. But through subsequent conversations in English, secretly recorded for U.S. authorities, Arbabsiar offered $1.5 million for the death of the ambassador, perhaps at a purported favorite restaurant of his despite the possibility of mass casualties.

Asked whether the plot was blessed by the top echelons of the Iranian government, Holder said the Justice Department was not making that accusation.

Well of course Holder isn’t going to to make an accusation against Iran, if the USA were to come out against Iran, in ANY way, some would assume that the USA might support the Israelis. We can’t have anyone thinking that this might be a good time to take Israel off of the leash and let them take some sort of action against Iran now can we?

Arbabsiar did not know he was trying to hire a DEA informant to carry out the plot, prosecutors said. Posing as an associate of a Mexican drug cartel, the informant met with Arbabsiar several times in Mexico, authorities said. The price tag was $1.5 million and Arabsiar made a $100,000 down payment wired from an overseas account.

You have got to admit, it IS pretty damned funny when an Iranian looking for a *hit man* just happens to stumble upon a DEA informant and lays it all out to him. Pretty ironic in my opinion.

He is BIG! He is BAD! He is in a Jihad!

Seems as though the runt that runs Iran has a rather serious “short guy” attitude to me. The Iranian’s unveiled a “long range bomber” that won’t fly as far as a Piper Cub, and, as usual, only exposes his own inferiority. Hum? Unless Iran has well trained pilots by the handfuls that are stupid enough to engage in Kamikaze tactics? The range is effectively some whopping 310 miles?

Now, Iran is suing the United States in that oh so even handed World Court because we (The United States of America) stopped producing one hell of a great fighter jet. The F-14 Tomcat, which, stupidly with the benefit of hindsight we had sold to a rather pathetic dictator.. The Shah of Iran… And then the people of Iran (Which prior to that I personally held in great regard having known many people from Iran.) Allowed themselves to be enslaved yet again! But I digress…

The F-14 Tomcat is / would still be the premier Navel launch-able Fighter Aircraft in the world. Most especially if armed with the Phoenix Missile System… Hell, the go fast Boy’s tell me that within range limitations it can indeed pick a fight, and have a decent chance of winning against the F-15E!

That Ladies and Gentlemen, is saying something. So then, we as in our LEADERS decided that the best course of action was to stop production of this magnificent aircraft. This is a bitter pill to swallow, but I agree. An F-14 will kick an F-16’s ass out of the sky according to those that know, and put their asses in the air on the line.

* I might be getting my numbers mixed up here, and fast movers feel free to correct me.*

Iran has F-14’s. Enough said as far as I am concerned.

Let them fall apart. In the sky as they fly toward American or Israeli’s. If they do indeed make it to the battlefield? An American or, most probably an Israli F-16 will end the threat on the cheap!

This idiot, the President of Iran is leading the world towards the war that will make World War One, as well as Two, look like kids playing Soldiers with toys…

Perhaps the Maya’s thing about 2012 is believable? Perhaps, just saying? Iran is perhaps about to experience the full fury of the people of the United States of America? Perhaps the last days as told by Paul are coming. Perhaps Mister I’m in a Jihad? You spit into the wind..?

The impostor in chief a “cowboy?”

April 7, 2010

The impostor in chief may be a lot of things, and most of them are diametrically opposed to what the Iranian idiot, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad characterized him as recently.

“American materialist politicians, whenever they are beaten by logic, immediately put their finger on the trigger like cowboys,” he said.

“Mr. Obama, you are a newcomer (to politics). Wait until your sweat dries and get some experience. Be careful not to read just any paper put in front of you or repeat any statement recommended,” Ahmadinejad said in the speech, aired live on state TV. “(American officials) bigger than you, more bullying than you, couldn’t do a damn thing, let alone you.”

The madman from Iran land needs to stop watching spaghetti westerns, that much is clear. The obama clearly does not support the things that are considered to be “cowboy” traits. He has gun control ideas that no cowboy would ever consider. Cowboys consider proper gun control to be able to consistently hit the intended target. Not disarmament and the associated willingness to be a victim. Cowboys admire independence and self reliance. Not government handouts or obamacare. Cowboys “stand by the brand,” as in supporting their friends come hell or high water. Not like the obama’s treatment of our closest allies.

Lastly Mister President? Your choice of words is amusing to say the least. Should things ever get from push to shove you just might get a message from “The Cowboy State.”

Aircraft in the Persian Gulf AOR are required to give the Iranian Air Defense Radar (military) a ten minute ‘heads up’ if they will be transiting Iranian airspace.

A pilot overheard this conversation on the VHF Guard (emergency) frequency 121.5 MHz while flying from Europe to Dubai  Read below….

The conversation..

Iranian Air Defense Radar: ‘Unknown aircraft you are in Iranian airspace. Identify yourself.’

U.S. Aircraft: ‘This is a United States aircraft. I am in Iraqi airspace.’

Iranian Air Defense Radar: ‘You are in Iranian airspace. If you do not depart our airspace we will launch interceptor aircraft!’

U.S. Aircraft: ‘This is a United States Marine Corps FA-18 fighter.   Send ’em up. I’ll wait !’

Iranian Air Defense Radar: (no response)

Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain…

October 19, 2009

Seems that the Iranian government can’t take what it dishes out. Supporting Hamas and Hezbollah is all fine and dandy when they are killing Americans, Israeli’s and anyone else that is not banging their heads on the floor in adulation of a pedophile.

What, however, will be the impostor in chiefs reaction to the overt threat against the United States? More kow towing? More “negotiation?” More kiss the worlds ass? For my part I hope that somehow, in some distant way or manner America was involved. Even if it was training some group or person way back when to fight the Soviets. However tenuous that might be.

If so, and I well expect that may indeed be the case, then BHO is free from the taint and evil  rude way things that happen in war are done by evil and rude men that make it safe for him to sleep at night. So I can keep my unsoiled disappointment in him without any reservations whatsoever. Or, is he The Man behind the curtain. The real puppet master, and Wizard of Oz?

TEHRAN (Reuters) – The head of Iran‘s Revolutionary Guards on Monday vowed to “retaliate” against the United States and Britain after accusing them of backing the perpetrators of a suicide bombing that killed six Guards commanders.

Iranian media say the Sunni Muslim insurgent group Jundollah (God’s soldiers) has claimed responsibility for Sunday’s bombing in Sistan-Baluchestan province, which killed 42 people in all.

The incident threatened to overshadow talks between Iran and global powers in Vienna on Monday intended to tackle a standoff about Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

Guards commander-in-chief Mohammad Ali Jafari said Iranian security officials had presented documents indicating “direct ties” from Jundollah to U.S., British and, “unfortunately,” Pakistani intelligence organizations, the ISNA news agency said.

“Behind this scene are the American and British intelligence apparatus, and there will have to be retaliatory measures to punish them,” Jafari was quoted as saying.

Jundollah, which has been blamed for many attacks since 2005 in the desert province bordering Pakistan, says it is fighting to end discrimination against Sunni Muslims by Iran’s dominant Shi’ites. Its leader is Abdolmalek Rigi.

“This person himself and his plans are undoubtedly under the umbrella and the protection of these (U.S., British and Pakistani) organizations,” Jafari said.

Iranian television quoted General Mohammad Pakpour, commander of the Guards’ ground forces, whose deputy was killed in the bombing, as saying:

“The base of the terrorists and rebels has not been in Iran. They are trained by America and Britain in some of the neighboring countries.”

The United States, Pakistan and Britain have all condemned the bombing, the bloodiest attack in Iran since the 1980-88 war with Iraq, and denied involvement.

“We reject in the strongest terms any assertion that this attack has anything to do with Britain,” said a spokeswoman at Britain’s Foreign Office. “Terrorism is abhorrent wherever it occurs.”

The bombing of a mosque in Zahedan, capital of Sistan-Baluchestan, reportedly also claimed by Jundollah, killed 25 people in May.

The underdeveloped desert province, mostly populated by Sunni Muslims, borders both Pakistan and Afghanistan and has frequently been the scene of clashes between security forces, ethnic Baluch Sunni insurgents and heavily-armed drug smugglers.

The victims of the bombing in the city of Sarbaz included two employees of the state broadcaster IRIB, the company said, and number of tribal chiefs who were due to hold a meeting with the Guards to promote Shi’ite-Sunni unity. The Guards said the attack was aimed at fomenting sectarian strife.

The incident raised tension between Iran and major powers ahead of nuclear talks at the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna.

On the agenda was a proposal that Iran send low enriched uranium abroad for further enrichment, to be used in a reactor where it produces medical isotopes.

Ali Shirzadian, spokesman for Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, said on Monday that Tehran would carry out the supplementary enrichment itself if there was no agreement in its talks with Russia, France and the United States.

Analysts say Iran’s governing hardliners may use the bombing incident as an excuse to further clamp down on moderate opponents of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, whose disputed re-election in June sparked huge opposition protests.

The Guards force, whose influence has increased since Ahmadinejad came to power in 2005, played a key role in suppressing the street protests after the election.

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev offered Moscow’s cooperation in fighting terrorism and extremism in a letter to Ahmadinejad, Medvedev’s press service said.

“We are ready to cooperate with Iran in countering these threats,” he wrote.

Ahmadinejad urged Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari in a telephone call to help find the perpetrators of the attack, Iran’s IRNA news agency reported.

Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesman Abdul Basit told the Daily Times newspaper: “Pakistan is not involved in terrorist activities … we are striving to eradicate this menace.”

Pakistan has backed armed Sunni Muslim groups in the past, particularly in Afghanistan.

Relations between Iran and Pakistan have been generally good in recent years and the neighbors are cooperating on plans to build a natural gas pipeline link. But Iran has in the past said Jundollah members have been operating out of Pakistan.

Some analysts believe Jundollah has evolved through shifting alliances with parties including the Taliban and Pakistan’s ISI intelligence service, who saw it as a tool to use against Iran.

Going Swami on us…

June 20, 2009

Is Gunny Bob at 850 KOA radio going swami on us, or might there be something to all this? The situation in Iran has been heating up for quite some time. This didn’t happen overnight and no President can be applauded or blamed for whatever does happen there after things follow the course.

However, as the Iranian’s like to point out on occasion. Who taught them how to fight? I happen to know that many Iranian’s attended several  of the various schools and such here in America. Including different War Colleges, and the School of the America’s. One has to believe that many of those people are still alive and well in Iran. While it would be pure speculation on my part to think that those same people may be operating there it just might be the case. If so, will that be a valid criticism of the United States, as in international meddling yet again? Or might there be more to this than meets the eye? Did Gunny Bob get out a crystal ball? Read on…

Long ago, the Gunny was sent to a school that taught students how to overthrow foreign governments. Interesting instructors came from elsewhere to teach the course. In the course, students learned how to destablize a government using provocateurs and other assets to exploit certain domestic situations. Students also learned how the U.S. government has a long history of this sort of activity. And students learned how to recognize “funny business” when they saw it.

Now let’s look at Iran.

(1) Obama has stated that he can not allow the Iranians to have nukes.

(2) Obama knows the Jews will conduct a pre-emptive strike if they deem it necessary.

(3) Obama will not support the Jews if they make such a strike.

(4) Obama knows the Iranians are getting very close to a nuke.

(5) Obama knows the Jews know #4.

(6) Obama knows what will happen to him politically if he allows the Iranians to get nukes.

(7) Obama knows many American targets are well within range of many Iranian weapon systems.

Now, if you were Obama and your CIA told you that they can help arrange riots and massive civil unrest in Iran while allowing you to have culpable deniability that could be reinforced with clever public statements from you, and they said that with some luck the government could fall and thus possibly end the Iranians’ nuke program, would that not be an option you would seriously consider?

The Gunny was just thinking that the situation in Iran right now sure looks a lot like a scenario out of that school he went to long ago.

Corporate Responsibility, the Gray Lady, and CNN

January 11, 2009

Corporate responsibility, The Gray Lady, and CNN. What do these two organizations have to do with the theme of being responsible business citizens? Not much it seems. They both appear to enjoy exposing secret material. Material that could easily get Americans and their allies killed.

The people that run organizations like those are anything but stupid. They are well aware of what they are doing, and of the possible results. Can their actions be called treason? Possibly. Irresponsible? Certainly! Publishing a story based upon sources that have to remain anonymous for reasons of security, should, to any rational person, be one big flashing light that says not to go there!

They will, and you can bank on this; say that they are protected by the First Amendment. Even as they seek to undermine the rest of the Bill of Rights, at least the parts that they don’t like. Well, you can’t yell fire in a theatre that isn’t on fire. Nor can you use fighting words and not expect to have ramifications result from your actions.

Something tells me that CNN, and it’s unnamed sources don’t want to own up to the responsibility they might incur when / if people get killed as a result of the article about the US refusing to help Israel take out Iran’s nuclear processing plant. If not, why no byline?

Just last week there were all sorts of complaints that Israel was not allowing real time reporting from inside the current war zone in Gaza. Well, the story that follows, is why.

WASHINGTON (CNN) — President Bush rejected several Israeli requests last year for weapons and permission for a potential airstrike inside Iran, the author of an investigative report told CNN.

Israel approached the White House in early 2008 with three requests for an attack on Iran’s main nuclear complex, said New York Times reporter David Sanger. His article appears in the newspaper on Sunday.

According to Sanger, Israel wanted specialized bunker-busting bombs, equipment to help refuel planes making flights into Iran and permission to fly over Iraq to reach the major nuclear complex at Natanz, the site of Iran’s only known uranium enrichment plant.

The White House “deflected” the first two requests and denied the last, Sanger said.

“They feared that if it appeared that the United States had helped Israel strike Iran, using Iraqi airspace, that the result in Iraq could be the expulsion of the American troops (from Iraq),” he said.

Damascus is mad at us now… Golly gee!

October 29, 2008

Seems that American  Spec Ops troops went after an Al Qaeda operative responsible for smuggling terrorist’s into Iraq that was using Syria as a safe haven. Go figure..? Syria has been repeatedly warned that this was going to happen if they didn’t put a stop to it. Now they are crying about it when it did. Even going so far as to demand an apology. Other sources tell a different story though. In fact, they say that the bad guy is now in the loving hands of a martyr’s virgins.

If, I ask, this raid was not effective, then why is Iran all freaked out? Brave words there General. Just remember that when the camel dung hits the rotating oscillating water wheel: [if you]

Mess with the best, die like the rest!

This PSA is brought to the people of Iran and Syria in the hope that they take responsibility for their homelands, and get new leadership by whatever means are necessary.

Hat Tip to Fred!

Who do you believe on Iran? « Carsons Post

October 31, 2007

schumer-weasel.jpgWho do you believe on Iran? « Carsons Post

This would be an interesting piece of work if the theme was not so overwhelmingly anti American. Forget about what President Bush says for a moment. What are ex-patriots from Iran saying? Well? I happen to have met a few of them. They talk of government sanctioned kidnapping, and torture as if it were the norm in the civilized world. Yet we are supposed to listen to the Russians, and negotiate with Iran seemingly forever? What the heck! Even the spineless French are beginning to talk about taking action against Iran.

Then there is indeed, the question about Israel. What law did they break to “illegally” acquire nuclear weapons? By using their collective brains and putting their resources to work for their own survival they broke some law? Who have they threatened to wipe from the face of the Earth?

One might think that the hate America First crowd would also have enough intelligence to realize that when / if America gets stomped by some fascist Islamic group that their collective heads would be adorning some fence post long before they could even begin to establish a Peoples Republic of the United States of America.
