Oregon Militia ‘Report’ another Astroturf-Funded Collectivist Smear of Patriots

October 25, 2016

“Avoid slogans, name calling, and demonizing members of the Right,” a report by Political Research Associates advocates. “Expose who benefits from right-wing campaigns.”

An immediately noticeable disconnect is that “Up in Arms: A Guide to Oregon’s Patriot Movement,” can’t resist ignoring its own “advice.” If you’re concerned about federal land “ownership,” if you believe the Second Amendment means “shall not be infringed,” if you think immigration policy ought to put the interests of “ourselves and our Posterity” first, if you advocate nullification of laws repugnant to the Constitution, if you’re opposed to Marxist motives behind wealth transfers and “progressive” social engineering, and if you recognize warmist hysteria a political fraud to give collectivists increased power and control over all aspects of our lives, you’re an implicit racist, a xenophobe and – even worse!!  You may just be a Three Percenter and/or an Oath Keeper!

The innuendo and conflation are strong in these collectivists. They even make a point of including Stewart Rhodes, Sheriff Richard Mack, the late Mike Vanderboegh, and my friend Kevin Starrett of Oregon Firearms Federation in their list of “bad” people, among others. And they cite my “Red/Green Axis” and “Most Dangerous Oregon Gun Bills” pieces as proof of what an evil extremist and hater I must be.

With us being treasonous bigots and sociopaths as its major premise, we’re absolved of any obligation to wade through any more lies, no matter how exhaustively end-noted they may appear to be. We’re free to follow admonition #2 and “expose who benefits” from this slick piece of propaganda masked as “research,”designed to give collectivist politicians and LE fusion centers cover under which they can continue smearing patriots as “domestic terrorists.”

Obviously, the snouts at the trough rely heavily on keeping the cash flow turned on, either directly, as the president/executive director and employees do through monetary compensation, or indirectly, like directors get through networking. And let’s not forget the agendas being advanced: Anti-Christian: Check. “Prison abolition and LGBTQ liberation”: Check. “Immigrants rights”: Check. “Feminist ethics”: Check. “Racial justice”: Check. “Social justice”: Check.

Funny—if there’s any outrage reserved for closed theocracies that abuse women and throw gays off buildings, it’s pretty well buried. Maybe the only problem exists in the place all their “refugees” are being imported to

And what’s a group in Massachusetts doing trying to sway public policy in Oregon? Who else benefits?

Per “Discover the Networks,” doctrinaire commies relying on poisoning the well of American exceptionalism do:

Targeted by? You guessed it!

June 17, 2014

ssued following this month’s Las Vegas killings, a bulletin leaked from the New York State Intelligence Center has warned state law enforcement against a “recent spike in violence” targeting them, and cites a figure familiar to Gun Rights Examiner readers as a catalyst for inspiring those so inclined.

“Michael Brian Vanderboegh, a longtime militia member and founder of the III Percent Patriot Movement which was supported by Jerad and Amanda Miller, travelled to NYS at least once in 2013 to speak to the Liberty Oath Keepers meeting in Monticello, NY.,” the “official use only” bulletin marked “Not for public or media release” advises. “The III Percent Patriots are a militia group comprised primarily of gun rights extremists who believe in the need to use violence against the government to prevent what they believe to be an impending seizure of all private firearms.

“The name derives from ‘an obscure, and not particularly accurate, Revolutionary War “statistic” that claimed that only 3% of the American population during the Revolutionary War participated as combatants in the war,” it explains. “The Oath Keepers is an organization composed of current and former military and law enforcement personnel who take a pledge to ‘not obey unconstitutional orders such as orders to disarm the American people, to conduct warrantless searches, or to detain Americans as enemy combatants.’

“There have been multiple observed instances of overlapping membership in the Oath Keepers and the III Percent Patriots, and the Oath Keepers’ founder has spoken supportively of the III Percent Patriot Movement,” the section concludes.

Footnotes make it clear the “information” is being sourced from the Southern Poverty Law Center and the Anti-Defamation League, both “progressive” groups vehemently anti-gun, at least the privately-owned kind, and neither shy about portraying their ideological opponents as domestic terrorists. (SPLC’s attacks on Oath Keepers have been documented in this column for years.)

While some are claiming New York is behind the curve because the FBI has distanced itself from SPLC, that may be wishful thinking based on a website modification.

[A] public statement from the FBI and the agency’s own website indicate the removal may mean just that — removal from the site, not a diminishing of the relationship between the two organizations,” a HotAir article cautions. “[T]he spokesperson’s statement indicates the change may just be a public relations move, not a substantive shift in FBI policy.”

Regardless, Vanderboegh decimated the bulletin in his Flag Day Second Amendment Rally speech in Massachusetts on Saturday.

“The Millers are linked to the Bundys — except they’re not,” he said recapping the bulletin after dissecting it for the crowd. “The Millers were supporters of Vanderboegh, the guy who had them ejected from the Bundy security operation — except they weren’t.

“They embraced militia values — except they didn’t, the Three Percent movement is a militia — except it isn’t.” he continued. “And the Three Percent are paranoids for believing that the New York state cops are going to seize semi-auto weapons — except they are.

“Other than that, this is a totally accurate report, Vanderboegh observed. “Does that clear things up for you?

“It’s funny but it’s not,” he cautioned. “This report goes out to police everywhere. Many are going to accept it as gospel. And who do you think they’re going to be reporting? You, with the Oath Keepers tee shirt. You, with the Three Percent patch. You, with the Gadsden flag out in front of your house or the ‘Don’t tread on me’ sticker on your pickup truck. Because everyone now ‘knows’ because of sloppy propaganda like this piece of trash that the Gadsden flag equals Three Percent equals Oath Keeper equals domestic terrorist equals meth-head cop killer.”

That, of course, is the objective, and even clumsier propaganda has been seized on by groups that are desperate for attention and relevance, coming up with stupid slogans like “Let’s tread on them” accompanied by even more stupid graphics.

It’s part of a long-standing and not particularly successful attempt by the “progressives” to chill dissent by making gun owners fear to speak out lest they be tarred with the brush of extremist. Perversely, those who want them to feel that way have been known to come up with extremist advocacy positions like ‘Isn’t it time we started rounding up promoters of hate before they kill?” and “These town hall terrorists could be declared enemy combatants and bundled off to Bagram with the stroke of a pen. If ever there were a reason for suspending civil rights, this is it,” and “Send the guilty monsters directly to Guantanamo Bay for all eternity and let them rot in their own mental squalor.”

As Vanderboegh might say, it’s funny, because of the personal frustrated impotence of the defective cultists doing the demanding, but it’s not, because their voices influence weak minds and embolden politicians, and enable enforcers who then cynically justify terror tactics they’re increasingly confident in using.

“Law enforcement leaders from the Department of Justice, the FBI, the ATF, Chicago police and other regional agencies gathered for a show and tell … of what they believe can be a key tool to reducing gun violence and arresting people who use and sell illegal guns — a group they call ‘three percenters’,” WGN reported.

“The core mission of the Crime Gun Center is to identify these shooters, or these ‘three percenters,’ and the traffickers that sell them guns and get them off our streets,” ATF Special Agent in Charge Carl Vasilko explained.

That’s what ATF has decided to call violent criminals who use guns? Does anyone think the adoption of that name is just a coincidence, coming from the machine Vanderboegh embarrassed with his groundbreaking Operation Fast and Furious revelations and efforts? And curiously, although not surprisingly, its being directed by agents of an administration that is more than happy to befriend extremist “percenters” it approves of.

Oathkeeper 151: Tells it like it is. No Nuremberg defense allowed!

January 17, 2013

In this video, Oathkeeper151, a New Jersey Police Officer who has been a member of Oath Keepers since 2009, makes it clear that he will not obey orders that violate the Bill of Rights. In particular, he says he will not be used as a tool of oppression against the American people who resist and refuse to comply with infringement on their right to bear arms, such as legislation or executive orders that decree they must register, get finger printed and photographed, like a criminal.

He asks his fellow officers what they are going to do if that happens. Will they keep their oaths? Here is his own description of his video:

In this video I ask my fellow Police Officers what they would do, if they were given an unlawful order. I also touch on the Assault Weapons Ban introduced by Senator Feinstein, and how this bill has the potential of putting us Police Officers in a very bad/even fatal predicament.

I spoke to him on the phone and he made it clear that he is not afraid to take this public stand because this is what needs to happen.  He says the peace officers across America need to stand up and let the people know that they are on the side of the Bill of Rights, and that they will protect the rights of the people. In one of the comments on his video, another officer had this to say:

I’ll lay my badge down, stop doing what I love if someone tries to make me do something immoral or unconstitutional. Good video, take care

Oathkeeper151 agrees. He told me that if there were door to door raids for guns against Americans who refused to comply with registration or bans, he would either defend the people with his badge on, stepping between them and the oath breakers doing the raids, or he would lay his badge down on the table and then go join the people in resisting. He loves his work as a police officer, but his oath, and his responsibility to protect the people of his community, is more important than his job. His oath comes first. The rights of the people come first…. and he is not alone.

Who is really at fault in these shootings?

December 20, 2012

This shooting is yet another tragic example of the failed, grotesque insistence on helpless victim zones where any crazed gunman can be assured of a large number of disarmed, undefended, helpless victims, all crammed into one place, where he can kill many children before an armed defender arrives from elsewhere.  It is disturbing and sick that the federal government so hates the right of the American people to bear arms, and so hates their natural right to self defense, that the government insists on making them helpless, disarmed victims for anyone who cares to kill them.   And in this case, all of the teachers and staff were willfully disarmed by the Federal Government, by force of law and threat of prison, to ensure that they would be disarmed and incapable of saving the lives of the children entrusted to their care.

That makes the Federal Government complicit in the deaths of these children, and in fact an accessory to their mass murder, by forcibly disarming (with the very real threat of prison) all the teachers, all the staff, and any parent who may have been on school property.  That stupid law guaranteed the shooters would meet no immediate armed resistance, which is exactly what is needed to stop such an attack.

In such a shooting (as in every criminal attack), seconds count, and the people best positioned to stop the attack are the people on the scene – the intended victims and/or their care-takers.  In this case, that would mean the teachers and staff of the school who were responsible for the well-being of those children, and also the parents, who should have the ability to save the lives of their own children as they take them to and from school.

The police cannot, and do not arrive in time to stop such shooters from killing large numbers of people.  They are a slow reactive force compared to an armed citizen on the scene.   This should be common sense, as it is obvious that in the immediacy of a criminal attack, it is the intended victims (or their immediate care-takers) who are there, in position to put a stop to the attack, if they are capable.  And being capable means being armed, trained, willing, and able to use deadly force, right then, right there.  Anything less leads to what we saw here.

But no doubt the rabid anti-gun government supremacists will use this to further their agenda to disarm the American people, totally ignoring that obvious, plain-as-day truth.   Anti-gun nuts trust the government with guns, but not the people, and insist that the lowly citizen must be disarmed and helpless in the face of murderous assault, and must wait on slow responding armed government employees, who will not be there when the attack starts, and most often can only really clean up the horrendous crime scene afterwards and maybe, just maybe apprehend a shooter who has chosen not to kill himself (as they usually do).

The bottom line is that these teachers and staff at the Sandy Hook Elementary School were incapable of keeping these children safe, and incapable of defending them.  And one of the biggest reasons they were so incapable and unprepared to save the lives of the children entrusted to their care is because the anti-gun nuts and their fellow travelers in government insisted on disarming every adult in the vicinity, by threatening them with prison time – EXCEPT the gunmen, who don’t care about the law and thus were not disarmed.    laws against carrying weapons in schools don’t stop evil men with murderous intent.  Such laws only disarm the law abiding and virtuous, who are now rendered incompetent to defend the precious children in their care.

This is disgusting.  And yet another reason to home-school.  Why would you want to leave your children helpless, in the hands of adults who are  themselves helpless, and incapable of defending them, by government decree?  For all we know, one of the teachers may have been a veteran, with the training and skill to use a firearm if one had been available.  But all the teachers and staff, whatever their ability with firearms, were stripped of the choice and chance to save the lives of these kids.

There are more good guys than bad guys in the world.  But the good guys need to be able to stop the bad guys, and that means  they need to be armed so they can stop the bad guys on the spot, without having to wait for “official” government approved good guys to respond.  Trust the teachers with arms so they can save the lives of their students.

Until the adults are allowed to actually act like adults, and defend themselves and their students, this kind of willful killing will continue to happen, and the federal government will in each case be a guilty party to the conspiracy by ensuring that the targets are disarmed.

Until this changes, you should refuse to give your children over to government schools lorded over by a Federal Government so callous and indifferent to their safety and lives.

Some years ago I wrote about Free Fire Zones and public safety in a letter to the editor at The Rocky Mountain News. Not a damned thing has changed since then. Other than Columbine, and all the rest of these mass killings of innocent people. Gun up people! The answer is more freedom and liberty, not less! More laws will change nothing. Other than make more victims of social predators.

Convoluted Logic

October 29, 2009

As I opened up Google News this morning I was confronted by what, at best can be called convoluted logic. Apparently, the economy has much improved. That’s great news for sure, but then as I scanned down the page I found this, this, and this.

Now, don’t get me wrong. The GDP is like an economic barometer. In other words, it’s a tool, and, like any tool it can be improperly used. The snake oil salesmen failed to mention anything about unemployment. Or the negative impact that the obamacare program will have on the economy. Especially, on the small business’s that are the backbone of the economy when it comes to jobs for Americans.

This is beginning to look once more like the pure propaganda of yet another Keynesian Utopia. Will Cap and Trade save us all from our folly? Will Al Gore come to the rescue like a battalion of cavalry in an old western?

Or do we need to Tar & Feather the vast majority of those that  laird it over us, and replace them with Oath Keepers?

American TEA Party Revolution Flags

June 13, 2009

No, the Tea Party’s have not gone away, far from it. If you believe that we have been taxed enough already then please support this effort by a couple of Oath Keepers. Regular readers know that it’s seldom that I post anything that involves you, my readers, spending money. After all, one of my biggest complaints is that for several years I have never once received anything from the NRA that isn’t also a begging for bucks plea. Sure, support the NRA if you choose to do that. I’d much rather that you sent money to Gun Owners of America, but that’s just me.

This project, the Tea Party Flags, isn’t being put up by a multi-million dollar group, but by a couple of home grown Patriots. Please support them.

TEA PARTY FLAGS
P.O. Box 492
Chewelah, WA 99109

$17 covers ALL costs, including shipping…

We have to wait for checks to clear, we don’t have a lot of money to put into this and have used what we have to get it set up. Cash or a money order will expedite shipping. A money order will offer you the protection you need too. I understand having worries about sending cash.

We don’t have a PayPal account set up for this, PayPal takes out a nice slice of the money before you get yours and we are trying to hold costs to a minimum and pass along a very high quality product to our friends and fellow TEA Party patriots at as low a price as possible.

It takes about 10 days to get the flags from the manufacturer, then a couple of days via Priority Mail to get them in your hands, so, we can have them well before the 4th of July!

These flags are simply gorgeous, they measure 24″ x 38″ and have lanyard rings. They are very well constructed and I was totally impressed when I saw the finished product.

My partner in this venture is ordering quite a few flags as I post this message. We are pretty certain that folks will want one, and I assure you, the REAL flag looks infinitely better than the picture does. Our digital camera sux.

We will need your name and mailing address, and a telephone number if you are comfortable with that, included with your order. We have to know where to send the flag. :P

We will NOT sell your information, WE HATE SPAMMERS TOO! Your information will remain completely confidential.
