2009, a look to the future

As I wandered around the Internet today I found a common theme on a lot of forums, blogs, and personal websites.

What will 2009 bring to us ordinary, and not so ordinary people here in America, and across the world. Here is my list; I really hope that some of these things don’t happen, but, that does not change my thinking that they very well might.

  1. America will continue in becoming balkanized. The ground work for an actual secession of many states, or an actual revolution is being laid as I type this.
  2. Israel will attack Iran after Iran delivers a devastating blow to Israel. Much of the world will be drawn into the conflict, and it will go nuclear.
  3. The American economy will go into an actual depression, as defined by economics. The trickle down effect will have terrible consequences for the rest of the world. See #1 above.
  4. The Bill of Rights will be gutted, and shaped to fit those that have come into power. Call them what you want; NWO, Elitist’s, it really will not matter.
  5. The issue of illegal immigration will be settled. By the issue of Gun Control.
  6. The issue of “Gay Rights” will be settled. Again, by the issue of Gun Control.
  7. The issue of Private Property Rights will be settled, not by the cowards in the Supreme Court. Again, by the issue of Gun Control.
  8. Education will fall by the wayside in human priorities. It will be food, or can Johnny learn to be a good socialist.
  9. The people of the world will return to a precious metal standard for monetary purposes. Because the mints print worthless currency.
  10. Irish Whiskey will regain it’s position of supremacy as the finest gift from heaven to man. Our Scot cousins will still be allowed in our homes though. After all, family, is family.

Please note that nearly all of these relate directly to number one. I fear for the future of these United States of America.

Israel, a thorn in our foot? Or in our very soul?

Israel is always on my mind. For one, or another reason. I myself love Israel having been there on several occasions. I love the courage of the people there. The sheer tenacity for life that the people possess after centuries of being flattened by so many other peoples from all over the world.

When things get really, really bad Israeli’s have much in common with Americans. After all, who the hell else gets so much flak just for being who, and what they are, than Israeli’s, or was that Americans..? Hell, I get so confused about those things.. After all, most Israeli’s are from the former Soviet Union, or Nazi Germany. Sort of like the Irish and Scot Irish in America. They are strangers in a desperate land. Hence, I think, that there is a kinship between the two nations.

I have met many Arabs as well as other Muslims while traveling in the mid east. I have met Jews in most parts of the world. Introduced individualy there have been many fine and just people from both groups. Then, there are those that are so stuck on the Ugly American theme that they cannot get their collective heads extricated from their asse’s. From both groups.

Who the hell has come to the aide of either group when the feces hits the rotating occilator device?

The United States of America. That is who. Call us what you want. Deride us at every opportunity. I simply do not care. I am an AMERICAN!

Read this, and just perhaps you will begin to get a glimmer about what I speak of…

Wishful thinking or conspiracy..?

One of the hottest stories in the world of blogging right now is the lawsuit concerning Barack Obama’s citizenship.While intriguing I have to believe that this issue comes from the Tin Foil Hat Brigade Anyone that reads this blog knows that I am no supporter of Obama. Further, that an Obama win could very well split this nation to the point of an actual civil war. Not to mention that a loss will lead to widespread rioting. We are in for a rough ride irrespective of who wins the election.

Then again, the popular election notwithstanding, we are not a democracy, we are a Constitutional Republic thank God! With a Bill of Rights that protects minorities from the majority.

Is, or has the United States ever been perfect? Of course not. This nation was, and is, a dynamic experiment in self governance. We do not have a King, although Chicago appears to have an aristocracy. We do not seek via government to impose religion upon the people by force of arms, although that has occurred in our past, and to a degree still do. Current laws seek to legislate morality in the conduct of religion. Least we not forget what happened at Waco.

Then we have the issue of effectively being able to defend ones self, family, and community. can you say gun control..? I knew you could!

So, after Obama is enthroned, what brand of tin foil should I make my hat from, so that I get the best reception for such mundane ideas as Liberty and Freedom..?

The 27 Characteristics of the Anti Christ

What follows below was stolen from TexasFred, and I attribute it to him, in all his glory! Strong Work MARINE!

Barack Obama will lead this nation to destruction. Just look at what he proposes. We could, by golly, become the new Soviet Union if things work out. It simply goes down hill from there, and I am not talking about a ski run either. Please do not mis-understand me. I am no fan of John McCain either…

1. He comes from among ten kings in the restored Roman Empire; his authority will have similarities to the ancient Babylonians, Persians, and Greeks [Daniel 7:24; Rev 13:2 / Daniel 7:7]

2. He will subdue three kings [Daniel 7:8, 24]

3. He is different from the other kings [Daniel 7:24]

4. He will rise from obscurity… a “little horn” [Daniel 7:8]

5. He will speak boastfully [Daniel 7:8; Rev 13:5]

6. He will blaspheme God, [Daniel 7:25; 11:36; Rev 13:5] slandering His Name, dwelling place, and departed Christians and Old Testament saints [Rev 13:6]

7. He will oppress the saints and be successful for 3 ½ years [Daniel 7:25; Rev 13:7]

8. He will try to change the calendar, perhaps to define a new era, related to himself [Daniel 7:25]

9. He will try to change the laws, perhaps to gain an advantage for his new kingdom and era [Dan 7:25]

10. He will not be succeeded by another earthly ruler, but by Christ [Daniel 7:26-27]

11. He will confirm a covenant with “many”, i.e. the Jewish people [Daniel 9:27] This covenant will likely involve the establishment of a Jewish Temple in Jerusalem [see Dan 9:27; Matt 24:15]

12. He will put an end to Jewish sacrifice and offerings after 3 ½ years and will set up an abomination to God in the Temple [Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15]

13. He will not answer to a higher earthly authority; “He will do as he pleases”[Daniel 11:36]

14. He will show no regard for the religion of his ancestors [Daniel 11:37]

15. He will not believe in any god at all [except for himself] [Daniel 11:37]

16. He will have “no regard for the desire of women”: He will either be asexual or homosexual [Dan 11:37]

17. He will claim to be greater than any god [Daniel 11:37; 2 Thess 2:4]

18. He will claim to be God [2 Thessalonians 2:4]

19. He will only honor a “god” of the military. His whole focus and attention will be on his military. He will conquer lands and distribute them [Daniel 11:39-44]

20. His arrival on the world scene will be accompanied by miracles, signs and wonders [2 Thess 2:9]

21. Either he, or his companion [The False Prophet], will claim to be Christ [Matt 24:21-28]

22. He will claim that Jesus did not come in the flesh, or that Jesus did not rise bodily from the grave [2 John 7]. He will deny that Jesus is the Messiah [I John 2:22]

23. He will be worshipped by many people [Rev. 13:8]

24. He will hate a nation that initially will have some control over his kingdom, but he will destroy this nation [Rev 17:16-18]

25. He will appear to survive a fatal injury [Rev. 13:3; 17:8]

26. His name will be related to the number six hundred and sixty six—but not necessarily in an obvious fashion [Rev 13:17-18].

27. He will be empowered by the devil himself [Rev. 13:2]

The Library

1. The Founders’ Constitution: Online library a joint project of Liberty Fund, Inc (who produced this five volume wonder, and the University of Chicago.

2. Liberty Library of Constitutional Classics: A project of Jon Roland’s Constitution Society. Filled with original full text source documents dating back to the 4th Century BC., all the way up through the founding era.

3. Political Sermons of the American Founding Era: 1730-1805, Foreword by Ellis Sandoz, from Liberty Fund. Vital, inspirational read for those who wish to witness for themselves the powerful influence of Judeo-Christian thought on inspiring and sustaining the American Revolution and the marvelous American Constitution that followed. Second Amendment, I was correct it seems!

This has been a hot button issue for years. Yet, after the last two rulings that came down from the Supreme Court I had serious doubts that they would get this one on the correct side of the fence.

Face it, if you read the Federalist and Anti-Federalist papers, there was no doubt. If you read Blackstone their was no doubt. If you studied “The Rights of Englishmen.”  It became blatantly obvious that some things, like the ability to defend oneself effectively, and your neighbor, was not only a God given right, but a duty.

I am reading the full decision and have not yet determined the scope of this ruling.

One would hope that this ruling will, in fact, and practice, strike down the draconian laws that deprive people in places like Chicago, New York City and elsewhere.  The free fire zones that are so abundant across our nation have only resulted in innocent men, women, and children being slaughtered by people that are anything but innocent.

The Second Amendment is there as an individual right. It is not a privilege that is granted by any authority.
