Supreme Court: Second Amendment protects “all bearable arms” – HUGE Victory for Gun Owners, Again!

We have been saying this for years. It would appear that others think along the very same lines!

John Kasich: Anti-gun “Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing”

March 20, 2016

Comes word, from the Center for Responsive Politics, that Leftist billionaire George Soros, through his Soros Fund Management, is one of John Kasich’s top financial contributors.

This can hardly be a surprise.

Kasich and Soros share two important traits:  (1) their desire to mess up the Republican selection process for devious motives, and (2) their absolute hatred for the Second Amendment.

Kasich’s antipathy towards gun rights is no secret to anyone who’s watched his career.  Make no mistake about it:  When we are winning by a large margin — when we don’t need John Kasich’s vote — he’s usually there to give us a big, wet “Don Corleone kiss.”

But when the vote is close and the future of the Second Amendment is at stake, “Godfather John” usually leaves us a severed horsehead in our bed.

Thus, Kasich famously joined a gaggle of fellow-RINO’s and cast the deciding vote to impose a ban on semi-auto firearms.  For this, he received a personal letter of thanks from a gun-hating Bill Clinton.

Kasich voted for background checks in 1993, a system where roughly 95% of denials are “false positives.” Loretta Lynch’s Justice Department has, since November, shifted FBI employees to insure that, if you’re illegally blocked by NICS from purchasing a firearm, you can never get your record corrected.

In 1999, Kasich voted to retain restrictive gun ban in Washington, D.C.  Not only that, Kasich joined the effort to pass 90% of Clinton’s anti-gun agenda as a form of “gun control lite.”

Elements of the Kasich/Clinton agenda included:

(1) Provisions making it virtually impossible to legally teach kids how to use firearms;

(2) A gun show ban (masquerading as a gun show Instant Check); and

(3) Mandates to require you to “lock up your guns.”

Had Clinton been successful in passing his post-Columbine anti-gun agenda, it would have provided a legislative platform which could easily have eviscerated the Second Amendment over the last decade-and-a-half.

But Kasich’s efforts to outlaw guns — drip-by-drip — continues to this day.

Kasich continues to be a chief advocate of actual or de facto amnesty, claiming that enforcing our immigration laws would be “inhumane.”

Of course, if Kasich gets his way, the legalization of 11 million illegals will have the same effect on the American electorate that the 1986 Simpson-Mazzoli amnesty had on California. The country as a whole would become deep “anti-gun blue.”

And, of course, Kasich was one of the first RINO’s to legitimize the anti-gun ObamaCare program by bringing its massive Medicaid segment into his state.

Now, all it will take is for Obama to do a computer search of Kasich’s Medicaid beneficiaries for “PTSD,” “Alzheimer’s,” and other “mental defectives,” and the gun rights of tens of thousands of law-abiding Ohioans could be jeopardized.

And all of this was done by Kasich’s particularly nasty form of politics which he is now trying to morph, incredibly, into his “Mr. Nice” act.

These actions, of course, reflect the hatred for guns by Kasich’s patron, George Soros.

You may remember that, when Soros launched his campaign of “exposes” designed to destroy the conservative movement piece-by-piece, his first target was Gun Owners of America — which Soros viewed as even more dangerous than the Koch brothers.

But perhaps as bad as Kasich’s anti-gun record is his determination to destroy the GOP selection process for personal gain.

Surely, even the vainglorious Kasich understands that, the longer he stays is the race, the longer the “divided field” makes it easier for an establishment candidate to hijack the process at the convention.

Polls have shown — here and here — that Ted Cruz would beat Donald Trump in a head-to-head matchup.

But by becoming the REAL “chaos candidate,” Kasich helps destroy the Republican Party by throwing the nomination to someone who is despised by the grassroots. In so doing, Kasich does the bidding of his master, George Soros.

Ted Cruz would be the natural one to aggressively call out anti-gunner John Kasich for his anti-gun record.

Please contact Ted Cruz and urge him to expose Kasich.  Let’s not let Kasich pull the wool over the eyes of American voters.

Sincerely,

Tim Macy
Chairman
Gun Owners of America

P.S.  While you cannot use GOA’s Legislative Action Center to email Senator Ted Cruz — unless you are a constituent of his — you can easily contact him through his webform.

So simply copy-n-paste the pre-written letter below into Senator Ted Cruz’ webform and urge him to expose Senator John Kasich’s anti-gun record.

—– Pre-written letter for Sen. Ted Cruz —–

Dear Senator Cruz:

Thank you so much for your strong defense of the Constitution — and in particular, the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.

Gun Owners of America has informed me that John Kasich has a long record of supporting gun control, including the following:

1) Kasich cast the deciding vote to impose a ban on semi-auto firearms, and for this, he received a personal letter of thanks from a gun-hating Bill Clinton.  See: tinyurl.com/hp4ucsp

2) Kasich voted for background checks in 1993, a system which is now blocking a percentage of legal gun purchases.  Loretta Lynch’s Justice Department has, since November, shifted FBI employees to insure that, if someone is illegally blocked by NICS from purchasing a firearm, they can never get their record corrected. See: tinyurl.com/hp4ucsp

3) In 1999, Kasich voted to retain restrictive gun ban in Washington, D.C.  See: tinyurl.com/zyljbep

4) Also in 1999, he voted for provisions making it virtually impossible to legally teach kids how to use firearms; for a gun show ban (masquerading as a gun show Instant Check); and for mandates to requiring people to “lock up their guns.”  See: tinyurl.com/jq84rcd

With John Kasich deciding to remain in the presidential race, I think it’s important for someone on the national level to expose his anti-gun votes.

I hope you will continue to point out Kasich’s anti-gun positions.

Sincerely,

Alright, it’s all starting again. So to speak… The anti liberty and freedom forces are back at it again as usual. Well, here is the best summation that I have found anywhere when it comes to understanding the debate about destroying your right to be able to properly and effectively defending yourself as well as others…

The Gun Control Debate.

She is so psychologically dysfunctional that she even wants police officers listed on the gun owner registry.

January 16, 2016

Seriously, there are people in this world so warped in their thinking that they can compare those in the freedom and liberty movement to the lowest of perverts. Go here to read about this…

Should time permit I think that I will start a new page, and play out the stereotypes that are tossed around. Now, that would be an interesting play on the psychology that makes up those of The Tyranny of the Majority that is today’s curse of Political Correctness.

One sick puppy; Can’t this POTUS ever tell the truth about anything?

January 12, 2016

From Gun Owners of America:

The president conducted another dog-and-pony show last week during a CNN-sponsored “Town Hall.”

The president trotted out several worn-out lies, like his claim that guns are more likely to kill you than save your life.

He even had the audacity to say that background checks are necessary since we wouldn’t otherwise know if drug dealers were buying guns.

Really?!? Has the president already forgotten Fast & Furious — when his administration gave green lights to known criminals so they could purchase firearms and smuggle them south of the border?

Of course he didn’t forget, but this president doesn’t care about facts or statistics that don’t support his ambitious gun control agenda.

The United States is experiencing record low crime rates, but Obama continues to pursue his anti-gun agenda in spite of the fact that murder rates are at their lowest levels in 25 years.

Nevertheless, Obama tried to make his radical agenda sound like it’s simply a few tweaks here and there — ignoring, of course, that his oath to uphold the Constitution should prevent him from imposing any “infringements” on gun rights at all.

GOA on the Front Lines

Though the President’s media circus last Thursday night was tightly controlled by the White House, GOA spokesmen have appeared on more than a thousand media outlets to discuss the President’s agenda.

You can view a few of them here:

* Larry Pratt Debunking the “Gun Show Loophole” on Fox Business News;

* A “tense” debate with a CNN host who attempted to keep me from debunking the anti-gun liberals’ talking points.

* Plus many more radio and TV appearances where GOA spokesmen have recently taken on Obama’s gun control proposals — all viewable at GOA’s YouTube page here.

So you say you want a revolution; Ladies and gentlemen this is not about a Beatles song.

The Left Calls for Confiscating Your Guns in Wake of California Shooting

ACTION:  The anti-gun Left is pulling out the stops and is now calling for gun confiscation.  We have to meet “fire with fire.”  So forward this alert to ten people.  Encourage your pro-gun family and friends to sign up for GOA alerts.

And, you can also give Gift Memberships to your family/friends this holiday season.  We need your support and activism more than ever!

The Anti-gun Left Declares War on Your Gun Rights

President Obama took to the airwaves on Sunday night and told the nation we need more gun control.

Hillary Clinton — the one who will most likely be the Democrat nominee for president in 2016 — recently called for an all-out war on guns, as well.

And then, for the first time since 1920, the New York Times published an editorial on the front page of their newspaper.

This is important because the editorial page of the Times reflects the thinking of the anti-gun Democrat Left.

And what is the theme of the Times‘ most important message in nearly a hundred years?

In two words:  Gun Confiscation.

The Left “drops the gloves,” calls for gun confiscation

The New York Times said this weekend that:

It is past time to stop talking about halting the spread of firearms, and instead to reduce their number drastically — eliminating some large categories of weapons and ammunition. It is not necessary to debate the peculiar wording of the Second Amendment. No right is unlimited and immune from reasonable regulation.

The Times continues that there would be no grandfather clause for the 300,000,000-plus firearms we currently own:

[I]t would require Americans who own these kinds of weapons to give them up for the good of their fellow citizens.

So there you have it.  You need to give up your guns — for the good of the country.

Ironically, the editors at The Washington Post are furious with the Times for letting the “cat out of the bag.”

They called the Times’ editorial “predictably polarizing.”

But as one insightful journalist noted, the Post editors are only upset because the Times’ piece confirms “every gun owner’s worst fear — namely, that all the talk about gun safety and reducing gun violence is just a sham, and the real agenda of the gun control movement is total confiscation.”

Gun confiscation has always been the goal of the anti-gun Left

Everyone has known that a Hillary presidency would result in greater restrictions on our Second Amendment rights.

Not a GOA member yet?  You can join Gun Owners of America today for only $20!

But now her mouthpiece at the Times has explicitly revealed what we knew already was the case — the Left wants to CONFISCATE YOUR GUNS.

Anti-gun radicals usually try not to say this publicly, because they know that talk of gun confiscation loses elections.

But when caught on “candid camera,” they tell you they want to confiscate guns.

Take Maryland’s Deputy Attorney General — a liberal Democrat — who was recently caught on hidden camera stating “we should ban guns altogether, period.”

Or remember when New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (D) said, in the wake of the Sandy Hook shooting, that among the different gun control proposals that were being bandied about, “[gun] confiscation could be an option.”

Or when several Democrat state senators were caught on an open microphone in New Jersey saying, “We needed a bill that was going to confiscate, confiscate, confiscate.”

This is their agenda.

Anti-gunners blame YOU for massacres like San Bernardino’s

In its editorial, the Times lambasted pro-gun, Republican politicians who “abet would-be killers by creating gun markets for them, and voters allow those politicians to keep their jobs.”

That’s what the Left thinks of you.  They think that your rights and freedoms … that your guns which have NEVER harmed anyone — are the problem because you are aiding and abetting killers.

These are the stakes we face in the 2016 elections.

If Clinton wins, we can expect her to push the same Times’ agenda, which will include the elimination of “large categories of weapons and ammunition” — probably by executive fiat.

And we can expect the Obama-packed courts to roll over and ignore the “peculiar wording of the Second Amendment.”

You have eleven months before the November, 2016, elections.

And everything we believe in is at stake.

Please forward this alert and encourage your pro-gun family and friends to sign up for GOA alerts.

And take this holiday season as an opportunity to give Gift Memberships to your family and friends.

We need your support and activism more than ever!

A Tory to the left of me, and a Tory to the right! Jeb Bush, a Bloomberg clone…

September 19, 2015
It sounds like a broken record playing from the gun control crowd — we just need to pass more laws…

Mandatory waiting periods to buy guns – leaving those who likely need a gun the most, defenseless.

Universal background checks – resulting in the government having a complete list of guns and their owners.

Background check expansion laws – designed to seize guns from gun owners on the mere word of one “mental health staffer.”

Even if you watched the Late Show from front to back the other night—->you still would have missed seeing one of the top tier Presidential candidates describe a utopian gun control agenda – one that the candidate hopes will sweep the nation state by state.

You missed it because it didn’t air – after being taped – likely because the campaign staffers who heard it decided to pull it down for fear that it would hurt the candidate—->they were right.

But this wasn’t a tactical decision by Hillary Clinton’s folks. It wasn’t that loud-mouthed gun grabber Chris Christie who said this. And it wasn’t even something that was said by the radical Bernie Sanders. Nope…

Jeb Bush, when appearing on the debut episode of the new Late Show, came out in full support of radical gun control just a few days ago!

Don’t take my word for it. Listen to what Jeb says for yourself by clicking on the video below.

Of course, Bush planted his words in his professed support for the 10th Amendment, stating that he would prefer each individual state enact the kinds of gun control, just like they did in his home state of Florida.

Worse, it’s obvious from the way he laid this out, that this is exactly what he would like to happen!

He didn’t stumble, he wasn’t trapped by a smart host, and he didn’t misspeak a word here or there. It sounded as if Bloomberg had crafted the words.

This is what Jeb Bush thinks about your gun rights!

Imagine being a homeowner in Ferguson, Mo., last year – watching your city burn – and being unable to buy a handgun to defend your family with because of a government mandated 72 hour waiting period.

Imagine being a homeowner in Boston, stunned as police chased a terrorism suspect around your city for 4 days, and you being left defenseless because some politician decided that you needed to wait 3 days to pick up your firearm.

In all of these scenarios, understand that the criminals are not going to wait around for 3 days to buy a weapon to carry out their plans to assault you or those you love.

You may be thinking, “So what, I’ve already got all the guns I need.” You and me both.

But what about everyone across the country who doesn’t? What about your children when they grow up? What about your granddaughter when she moves across the country for her first job as an adult?

Of course, Bush’s plan to change the mental health laws is designed to make it appear so reasonable that no one would oppose it.

But nothing is more dangerous, nothing is more subtle, than the gun control threat we face from a changing in the mental health code.

You see, under current law for someone who’s deranged to lose their constitutional right to keep and bear arms, they have to be “adjudicated” defective.

Adjudicated means that a judge or jury of your peers needs to be convinced to end those rights.
All of your due process rights are able to be used in this process. You can have an attorney present, produce evidence, confront evidence and witnesses being used against you, etc.

If the government is able to substitute “adjudication” for “declaration” then anyone authorized by the government can, unilaterally, declare you unfit to own firearms!

You can see now why this is so dangerous. This doesn’t affect the size of the magazine in your Colt .45 or whether or not you can own an AR-15. This just flat out leaves you prohibited from owning ANY firearms.

You’d have more rights contesting a traffic ticket than you would the seizure of your constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms if Jeb Bush’s mental health plan became law at the state or federal level!

Just last year Wyoming Gun Owners, with your support, fought and successfully defeated the passage of a bill that would do exactly this right here in the Wyoming legislature!

Background check expansion legislation was introduced in the Senate by Fred Emerich in 2014 and would do exactly what I’ve described above!

With our agressive activism, gun owners mobilized enough to prevent this bill from becoming law here in Wyoming!

Clearly Jeb Bush and his pal Michael Bloomberg want to see this same type of law enacted state by state all over the country!

Jeb Bush and Michael Bloomberg caught while working on the same team

Don’t be lulled off guard by his talk of the 10th Amendment. This simply means that he’d happily see the state government crackdown on your gun rights as opposed to the federal government.

More and more this is exactly what the gun grabbers are doing in response to the stinging defeat they were handed by gun owners on Universal Background Check Legislation proposed in 2013: and now they are taking their fight to state legislatures all over the country.

We’ve been able to stop them so far here in Wyoming.

Now we need to ensure that Wyomingites know all about Jeb Bush’s state-based gun control scheme and that Bush knows that Wyomingites won’t put up with it. Please help us get the word out by:

  1. Calling Bush’s campaign boss David Kochel and owner of the political consultant firm Redwave in Iowa. Call (515) 421-4404 to leave David a message. Make sure he knows you’re calling from Wyoming, that you’re a voter, and that Jeb’s statement on the Late Show tells you all you need to know about his views on the 2nd Amendment.
  2. Contacting Jeb’s national apparatus by leaving him the message on his facebook page. click here
  3. Sharing this email with every gun owner you know in Wyoming – make sure they have the facts about where Jeb stands.

More shenanigans in Wyoming

September 11, 2015

Yesterday on your behalf, I testified at Cheyenne’s city council on the record and against an egregious scheme that will place power in a small group of politically appointed bureaucrats.

This so-called Human Rights Advisory Council measure was led by (Phony Republican) Cheyenne city councilman Dicky Shanor.

The push for these shady local councils – is modeled directly after the similarly named “United Nations Human Rights Advisory Council” – and they first started popping up in San Francisco and neighboring California communities during the mid sixties.

Today these United Nations styled Human Rights Councils span America from coast to coast. And wouldn’t you know, they all have one thing in common…the United Nation’s demand for the confiscation of guns from American citizens as a “human right” for safety.

These councils use a variation of the Delphi-Method to lobby the public as well as influence state government. By using specially picked political appointees that appear as everyday concerned citizens, they push to advance support on a host of progressive ideals, including gun control.

Cleverly this is how politicians can push an agenda — then hide behind a citizen panel, when they ask for your vote at reelection time.

Too bad for them, we’re on to them!

In Wyoming, it’s always the usual suspects like Dicky Shanor pushing the progressive envelope. These Liberal-Progressives work within the confines of the Republican party because they just can’t get elected as Democrats.

Republicans like Shanor, and a Party that refuses to hold their own accountable — is the very reason we must be so critical of the recent statewide Republican fund-raising campaign dubbed – “Grow The Party.”

It should be noted that Shanor was the prior Chairman of the Laramie Republican Party.

And it’s just as it seems, Republican ‘Elitists’ like Shanor quickly find the revolving door into Wyoming government.

It’s flat out sickening that councilman Shanor used the usual tactics to make it difficult for the public to participate in the proceedings by having the hearing at 12 noon, and to schedule the hearing in the smallest room possible with people literally lining the hallway.

All while 20 feet away, the much larger Cheyenne city council chambers were empty. You just can’t make this stuff up!

Besides being a lawyer and city council member, phony Republican Shanor also works as the Chief of Staff of another Phony Republican, Jillian Balow, Wyoming’s Superintendent of Education who testified in both the House and Senate committees against the Repeal of Gun Free Zones in Wyoming.

Like the old saying goes, “Birds of a Feather flock Together.”
Jillian Balow and Dicky Shanor

So yesterday, it came at no surprise, that Dicky Shanor was leading the charge to implement an unscrupulous Marxist government scheme.

The good news is…

On it’s initial introduction we made sure Shanor’s move met hard scrutiny from gun owners.

But here’s the warning…

While the measure was temporarily tabled in yesterdays sub-committee—->Despite the opposition, Shanor stated, in open committee, that he will rework the language and bring it before the council again.

This is why I will be keeping a close eye on every move of Cheyenne’s city council as they act to repackage and reintroduce Shanor’s United Nations scheme.

Remember, as I am at the ready to aggressively push back at Wyoming’s progressive anti-gun politicians—->where ever they may be. This will continue to be possible only because of your financial support.

If you are a regularly reader, but have not become an active supporter – please consider chipping in $10 or $20, so WyGO can remain the strong voice for gun rights in Wyoming.

Depending on the government

June 15, 2015

These pages have, for years decried how people and organizations have depended on government in order to keep body and soul together. It is indeed a two edged sword. One that, like a pendulum always swings in both directions. Businesses, like people, are subject to the addiction process. It’s time for some tough love. I can only hope that a champion of capitalism comes to the rescue.

Colt Defense LLC, the 179-year-old gunmaker that supplies M4 carbines and M16 rifles for the U.S. and foreign militaries, filed for bankruptcy amid delayed government sales and declining demand.

The West Hartford, Connecticut-based firearms maker listed assets of as much as $500 million and debt of as much as $500 million in a Chapter 11 filing late Sunday in bankruptcy court in Wilmington, Delaware. Wilmington Trust Company is listed as the biggest unsecured creditor with a $261 million claim.

Wyoming Senators: Silence is anything but golden!

June 4, 2015
We lost by a mere 16 votes, but thanks to your grassroots activism, U.S. Senate Leadership took it in the shorts.

First, the scary stuff…

Obama’s declaration of victory on the passage in the Senate by a 67-32 vote:

Immediately signing the wrongly named USA Freedom Act, Obama stated, “my administration will work expeditiously to ensure our national security professionals again have the full set of vital tools they need…

Now the back story…

While Senator(s) Barrasso and Enzi voted NO on the so-called USA Freedom Act, other Republican Senators who also voted NO, admitted that they did so because the measure “didn’t go far enough” to spy on Americans.

Several hours of floor debate revealed the real imbalance in Congress — only one Republican Senator shined by standing up and pushing real freedom.

Samuel Adams said it best ~ “It does not take a majority to prevail… but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.”

If you want to see this played out in modern politics — watch Senator Rand Paul setting the brushfire on the Senate floor, by clicking here.

The good news is that every single poisonous amendment was voted down, despite the foolish utterances by phony Republican Mitch McConnell.

McConnell proposed four amendments to address what he called the bill’s “serious flaws.”

You just can’t make this stuff up!

McConnell even suggested that Obama’s failed foreign policy was somehow equated to the Senate’s refusal to accept his dangerous amendments that would have further violated the privacy of Americans.

As I watched Republican Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell during this historic defeat, I must admit…it was truly a rewarding experience to see him to burn in the flames.

And you can be proud of being a part of the grassroots brushfire.

But, at the risk of being redundant, Barrasso and Enzi voted correctly while remaining silent.

While thankful that they both voted right, we are at a loss that the Wyoming delegation didn’t stand with Rand Paul in the vocal debate.

Like most politicians, our Senators love to receive accolades for their display of rhetoric in front of Fox News cameras — but where it matters most on the Senate floor, they remain closemouthed.

If the Wyoming Senators want us to believe they were standing on the proper side of the fence — they should have been setting their own brushfires of freedom — instead of leaving the fight to Republican Senator Rand Paul, who single-handedly pushed back at the entire establishment.
