Gun sales thriving in uncertain times

October 27, 2008

Well you knew it had to happen sooner or later. Someone in the mainstream media actually hit the “X” with a story about the American people, the economy, the election, and gun rights. This story is not from the NRA, the GOA, or anyone even remotely connected with them.

Americans have cut back on buying cars, furniture and clothes in a tough economy, but there’s one consumer item that’s still enjoying healthy sales: guns. Purchases of firearms and ammunition have risen 8 to 10 percent this year, according to state and federal data.

No kidding? I wonder why?

Several variables drive sales, but many dealers, buyers and experts attribute the increase in part to concerns about the economy and fears that if Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois wins the presidency, he will join with fellow Democrats in Congress to enact new gun controls. Obama has said that he believes in an individual right to bear arms but that he also supports “common-sense safety measures.”

Have they recently cleaned off those rose tinted spectacles and really taken a look at who is running for President perhaps?

Industry experts and law enforcement officials point to several examples over the years. In 1994, there was a rush to buy guns when President Bill Clinton pushed for a ban on military-style semiautomatic rifles. Handgun sales jumped last year after the massacre at Virginia Tech as some worried about personal protection and others feared sweeping restrictions on handguns, pushing applications for concealed gun permits in Virginia alone up 60 percent. People also rushed to buy guns after the 1992 riots in Los Angeles and the breakdown of order in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.

This must be a misprint! he called them what they are!

Bob Leyshion, who visited a gun shop in Manassas recently, said the economic crisis and Obama’s lead in the polls were on his mind.

“People are preparing for catastrophe right now,” said Leyshion, 55, of Nokesville. “It’s insurance. With the stock market crash and people out of work, and the illegal aliens in this area, the probability of civil disorder is very high.”

This guy needs to listen, Palin might be alright, but her being selected as the V.P. candidate in no way cleans the slate with gun owners for McCain…

“The industry and sportsmen have not been in love with McCain, but the selection of Palin wiped that all away,” said Anthony Aeschliman, a spokesman for the National Shooting Sports Foundation.

Pandering is much to light a statement!

Brad, 42, and Margaret Marcus, 47, who were at a Fairfax County shooting range recently with their two children for weekly target practice, said they sped up the purchase of two semiautomatic rifles that had been banned during the Clinton administration because they feared they could become illegal again if Obama wins. The couple, who run an online retailing business from their Ashburn home, said they viewed Obama’s remarks about protecting the Second Amendment as campaign trail “pandering.”

I must admit that this writer had to show some serious chutzpa too actually say in a published story what the people in America really are thinking. Him, as well as his Editor and the Publisher might want to be sure that their last Will and Testament are up to date though.

Will the real Barack Obama please stand up!

Illinois State Rifle Association Executive Director Richard Pearson Issues Open Letter to Nation’s Sportsmen Regarding Obama’s TRUE History in the Illinois Senate

We’ve repeatedly warned readers not to believe Barack Obama when he claims to support our Second Amendment rights. We have told you the truth–that Barack Obama is the most anti-gun presidential candidate in American history! Hands down. No question. Barack Obama opposes the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding, freedom-loving, American firearm owners.

We’ve given the facts, and provided the documentation. But if you know someone who’s still not convinced, you’ll want to share with them a recent, open letter to our nation’s gun owners, hunters, and sportsmen, written by Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA) Executive Director Richard Pearson. Pearson’s credentials include deep involvement in the firearm rights movement for more than 40 years. He’s been the chief lobbyist for the ISRA for the past 15 years. And, most importantly, because of his personal experience, he knows Barack Obama’s true stance on the Second Amendment.

In his letter, Mr. Pearson says, “I lobbied Barack Obama extensively while he was an Illinois State Senator. As a result of that experience, I know Obama’s attitudes toward guns and gun owners better than anyone. The truth be told, in all my years in the Capitol I have never met a legislator who harbors more contempt for the law-abiding firearm owner than does Barack Obama.”

Mr. Pearson goes on to describe just some of Obama’s anti-gun voting record, saying, “While a state senator, Obama voted for a bill that would ban nearly every hunting rifle, shotgun and target rifle owned by Illinois citizens. That same bill would authorize the state police to raid homes of gun owners to forcibly confiscate banned guns.” Obama also voted FOUR TIMES against legislation that would protect a homeowner who use a firearm in defense of home and family!

It doesn’t get much plainer than that, folks. This letter is a must-read for every pro-freedom, pro-self-defense, pro-Second Amendment American.

To read the entire letter, please click here. Then be sure to forward the link to every Second Amendment supporter you know. The truth about Obama’s stance on firearms and the Second Amendment needs to be told—again!

Asking the tough questions..?

October 22, 2008

“People have called you ‘The Savior,’ ‘The Messiah,’ ‘The Messenger of Change.’ The expectations have been raised to such a level… If you are, as you just say, lucky enough to be elected the next president are you going to have to consciously manage expectations during the first several months of your administration?” —NBC’s Matt Lauer to Barack Obama

Talk about Looney Toons: “Sometimes I think I’m watching Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd here. You know Bugs Bunny is driving him crazy. He’s laughing, running away and Elmer just can’t keep, can’t keep, can’t get his eyes off the guy.” —Daffy Duck, er, MSNBC’s Chris Matthews likening Obama to Bugs Bunny and McCain to Elmer Fudd

Europeanness envy: “While we’re on the symbolism, let me remind you how many Europeans see U.S. voters—as a trigger-happy bunch with a Bible in one hand and a rifle in the other… Does either of you senators have any serious plans to reduce the number of guns available in the U.S. or even dare to suggest it? That really would impress the Europeans, that you stand for change.” —CNN European political editor Robin Oakley to Obama and McCain

Good thing the rest of the world can’t vote here: “[P]olls show the image of the U.S. has improved slightly this year simply because President Bush is leaving. And, that if the world had a vote, Barack Obama would win in a landslide. Regardless of who wins, the world is clamoring for a new America in 2009.” —NBC’s Dawna Friesen

And it’s called “redistribution”: “Obama’s tax cuts only go to people who work, so by definition, it’s not welfare. Some working people eligible for Obama’s tax cut make so little, they do not pay income taxes. But they do pay payroll taxes and other taxes.” ABC’s Jake Tapper

But, not all of the mediaare sycophants.

“What happened to the Democratic Party? Just a few generations ago, the party of Franklin Roosevelt went to bat for the little guy, the common man, the everyday Joe the plumber. Not anymore. Now, the wealthy elites who run the Democratic Party have declared war on working-class Americans while pretending to defend them against greedy and heartless Republicans. Those would be the same Republicans whose vice presidential nominee, Sarah Palin, doesn’t just talk about working-class people but actually embodies one and yet has been savaged by liberals. And those would be the same Republicans who have devised a tax plan that might just appeal to ‘Joe the Plumber’ Wurzelbacher, the Ohio resident who dared to confront Barack Obama over the unfairness of his tax plan. In a candid moment that could well lose him some votes, Obama acknowledged to Wurzelbacher that he intended, if elected president, to take the wealth of those making more than 250,000 per year and ‘spread it around’ to others making less. That wasn’t very smart, and the Obama campaign knows it. So they’re trying to change the subject by making Joe the Plumber the issue. They’re doing so, with a little help from their friends in the news media and labor unions, by digging into Joe’s background in search of something embarrassing… That will teach Joe to keep quiet. Let’s hope the country learns a lesson as well—about what the Democratic Party used to be and what it has become.” —San Diego Union Tribune

Endorsements you don’t want

October 22, 2008

“It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy… Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy. I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate… And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you—not financially to help him—we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.” —Joe Biden **It won’t be apparent because you won’t be right.

What about the law?: “I will look for those judges who have an outstanding judicial record, who have the intellect, and who hopefully have a sense of what real-world folks are going through.” —Barack Obama

Getting it exactly backwards: “John McCain has been a party to the most significant redistribution of wealth in American history and it has been all the wrong way… [McCain believes in] trickle down, government is bad, markets are right [economics].” —Joe Biden

Speaking of redistribution: “Yes, I believe later on there should be tax increases. Speaking personally, I think there are a lot of very rich people out there whom we can tax at a point down the road and recover some of this money.” —Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA)

From the Head Cheerleader: “One hundred percent Barack Obama is going to win! He’s going to be our next president and a great president at that. We’re all excited to work with him.” —House Speaker Nancy Pelosi

Thanks for clearing that up: “What I said, that indicted everybody, that’s not what I meant at all. What I mean is there’s still folks that have a problem voting for someone because they are black. This whole area, years ago, was really redneck.” —Rep. John Murtha (D-PA) “apologizing” for calling Western Pennsylvania racist **“I never said most of the things I said.” —Yogi Berra

Then, there is this:

“Here comes the orator! With his flood of words, and his drop of reason.”Benjamin Franklin

The more things change… Another installment

October 22, 2008

Back with yet another installment of “The more things change, the more they stay the same.” Here we are nearly a year after Judicial Watch presented it’s findings, and getting pretty close to the election and it still looks like a “Who’s who” of those that are, or were running for President.

MORE:

Please note who came in for eighth place?

8.  Senator Barack Obama (D-IL): A “Dishonorable Mention” last year, Senator Obama moves onto the “ten most wanted” list in 2007.  In 2006, it was discovered that Obama was involved in a suspicious real estate deal with an indicted political fundraiser, Antoin “Tony” Rezko.  In 2007, more reports surfaced of deeper and suspicious business and political connections  It was reported that just two months after he joined the Senate, Obama purchased $50,000 worth of stock in speculative companies whose major investors were his biggest campaign contributors.  One of the companies was a biotech concern that benefited from legislation Obama pushed just two weeks after the senator purchased $5,000 of the company’s shares.  Obama was also nabbed conducting campaign business in his Senate office, a violation of federal law.

BarryO, ya just have to do better than that!

White supremacists target middle America

October 21, 2008

My good friend and blogging buddy Texas Fred has been called a racist so many times that I have given up counting the toll. So, the following will probably give a few pig headed people seizures. Anyone that looks to the sidebar of his blog at his endorsements for office will be able to figure out what I am talking about. Bob Barr, is the only white one there… In any case the following was proudly stolen from Fred.

SOURCE:

The white-power movement is changing its marketing strategy to broaden its appeal.

The USA’s largest neo-Nazi group is ditching its trademark brown Nazi uniform with swastika armband for a more muted look in black fatigues.

In Pennsylvania, the Keystone State Skinheads is changing its name to Keystone United to attract members.

The nation’s largest white-power website, Stormfront, has a new feature that lets members create social-networking pages. The site has had as many as 42,700 unique visitors in a 24-hour period this month, a steady rise since it started in 1995.

Supremacist groups are on the rise as they market themselves to middle America, according to leaders of the groups and organizations that monitor them. They are fueled by the debate over illegal immigration and a struggling economy.

White supremacists target middle America

With people like Don and Derek Black it’s not so much about *hate* as is is just plain old STOOPID! And Barack HUSSEIN Obama gives people like the Black’s all the opportunity they need to spread their message of white supremacy and blind hatred.

There are some seriously ignorant people on both sides of the *race* issue, some scream nigger, some scream cracker and that’s all they have, ignorance and name calling. I truly HATE Barack HUSSEIN Obama, but his skin color is NOT the reason, I hate him because I feel he’s a halfbreed Muslim MUTT with a buried agenda for America! His being part black has absolutely nothing to do with it.

A superiority believer, of any ilk, is nothing more than a disgusting ass!

White supremacists and Black Power Radicals are a pathetic joke. There are highly intelligent people from ALL races, and there are, without a doubt, some of the most ignorant cretins to ever walk the earth, and yes, they infest ALL races. A while back presidential hopeful Ron Paul was connected to some anti Semitic and racial comments and groups, Don Black’s Stormfront being one of them. Paul vehemently denied any connection to Black and the accusations, yet he took a donation from Black and thought enough of him and his son to have a picture taken with them. Ron Paul and Don Black… You decide…

We have not even begun to see racial strife in America. IF Obama is elected there will be serious repercussions, if McCain is elected there will be serious repercussions, any way it goes, the black race baiters are going to have a field day. An Obama loss triggers riots because they will claim that he was cheated, an Obama win triggers civil insurrection on their part because with Obama as POTUS the ghetto gang bangers and wannabe bad boys are going to feel they have been given a free pass of sorts and there is already serious word on the street in the law enforcement community in regards to the threats of potential racial violence against ALL white police officers.

White supremacists, black radicals, all of them are IDIOTS. Obama may not be the Islamic tool I fear he is, but suppose he is. Do the pimps and drug dealers honestly believe that radical Islam is going to allow them to run like wild animals in the street? Islam will destroy them as easily as it will anyone else that doesn’t submit to and ardently practice their *Religion of Peace*.

An Obama win, or defeat, only predicates the unbelievable violence that this nation will suffer, maybe at the hands of people like Don and Derek Black, maybe at the hands of people like Je$$ie Jack$on and Al $harpton, maybe at the hands of some Ayatollah. Any way it goes, we ALL lose. Thank you to the DNC and Democratic voters for casting this pall on America!

The 27 Characteristics of the Anti Christ

October 1, 2008

What follows below was stolen from TexasFred, and I attribute it to him, in all his glory! Strong Work MARINE!

Barack Obama will lead this nation to destruction. Just look at what he proposes. We could, by golly, become the new Soviet Union if things work out. It simply goes down hill from there, and I am not talking about a ski run either. Please do not mis-understand me. I am no fan of John McCain either…

1. He comes from among ten kings in the restored Roman Empire; his authority will have similarities to the ancient Babylonians, Persians, and Greeks [Daniel 7:24; Rev 13:2 / Daniel 7:7]

2. He will subdue three kings [Daniel 7:8, 24]

3. He is different from the other kings [Daniel 7:24]

4. He will rise from obscurity… a “little horn” [Daniel 7:8]

5. He will speak boastfully [Daniel 7:8; Rev 13:5]

6. He will blaspheme God, [Daniel 7:25; 11:36; Rev 13:5] slandering His Name, dwelling place, and departed Christians and Old Testament saints [Rev 13:6]

7. He will oppress the saints and be successful for 3 ½ years [Daniel 7:25; Rev 13:7]

8. He will try to change the calendar, perhaps to define a new era, related to himself [Daniel 7:25]

9. He will try to change the laws, perhaps to gain an advantage for his new kingdom and era [Dan 7:25]

10. He will not be succeeded by another earthly ruler, but by Christ [Daniel 7:26-27]

11. He will confirm a covenant with “many”, i.e. the Jewish people [Daniel 9:27] This covenant will likely involve the establishment of a Jewish Temple in Jerusalem [see Dan 9:27; Matt 24:15]

12. He will put an end to Jewish sacrifice and offerings after 3 ½ years and will set up an abomination to God in the Temple [Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15]

13. He will not answer to a higher earthly authority; “He will do as he pleases”[Daniel 11:36]

14. He will show no regard for the religion of his ancestors [Daniel 11:37]

15. He will not believe in any god at all [except for himself] [Daniel 11:37]

16. He will have “no regard for the desire of women”: He will either be asexual or homosexual [Dan 11:37]

17. He will claim to be greater than any god [Daniel 11:37; 2 Thess 2:4]

18. He will claim to be God [2 Thessalonians 2:4]

19. He will only honor a “god” of the military. His whole focus and attention will be on his military. He will conquer lands and distribute them [Daniel 11:39-44]

20. His arrival on the world scene will be accompanied by miracles, signs and wonders [2 Thess 2:9]

21. Either he, or his companion [The False Prophet], will claim to be Christ [Matt 24:21-28]

22. He will claim that Jesus did not come in the flesh, or that Jesus did not rise bodily from the grave [2 John 7]. He will deny that Jesus is the Messiah [I John 2:22]

23. He will be worshipped by many people [Rev. 13:8]

24. He will hate a nation that initially will have some control over his kingdom, but he will destroy this nation [Rev 17:16-18]

25. He will appear to survive a fatal injury [Rev. 13:3; 17:8]

26. His name will be related to the number six hundred and sixty six—but not necessarily in an obvious fashion [Rev 13:17-18].

27. He will be empowered by the devil himself [Rev. 13:2]

The Anti-Hunting NRA?!

August 25, 2008

The American Hunters and Shooters Association (AHSA) is once again trying to confuse hunters into believing two bold lies:  that the NRA does not support hunting, and that AHSA and the Sierra Club do.

In a report released on August 21, AHSA makes the ridiculous argument that NRA is anti-hunting because NRA does not support the same candidates that Sierra Club and other environmental groups support. The problem is, these groups rate candidates on their radical environmental record, not on their support for hunting or for gun owners’ rights. In fact, the politicians endorsed by the Sierra Club are a “Who’s Who” of the most anti-gun politicians in American history. Gun-ban advocates like Barack Obama, John Kerry, Charles Schumer, Hillary Clinton, Barbara Boxer, Frank Lautenberg, Jack Reed, and Teddy Kennedy have all been endorsed by the Sierra Club. Since Teddy Kennedy wants to ban almost all ammunition used by hunters in America, it is impossible to see how the Sierra Club is supporting hunters by endorsing him.

Groups like the Sierra Club rate lawmakers on many issues that have nothing to do with hunters or hunting, and do not rate on some issues that do. While the Sierra Club supports massive set-asides of land under wilderness designations, they fail to consider hunter access to these lands. Wilderness designations often create problems for hunters because they do not provide for methods of access needed to actually use the land for hunting, since all improvements–including roads, trails and other changes–are prohibited. Such designations also prohibit programs to provide food and water to wildlife during times of drought. These policies are hardly good for hunters. Neither is Sierra Club support for anti-gun politicians who would end gun shows, ban guns and ammo, and support gun registration and gun licensing.

NRA knows that without our Second Amendment rights, Americans will lose our firearms to radical politicians like Obama. And without the right to own firearms, our hunting tradition will not survive. With this report, AHSA has made one thing perfectly clear: it is willing to sacrifice Second Amendment rights–and in the end, hunting in America–on the altar of its radical anti-gun agenda.

On the other hand, the NRA Political Victory Fund grades candidates first and foremost on their position on the protection of the Second Amendment, but also on their positions in support of issues relating to hunters. These issues include access to hunting lands, proper scientific management of game species, and expanding opportunities for hunters and hunting. NRA is also one of the most effective advocates for issues that truly impact hunters. Over the decades, NRA has worked hard at the federal and state level to protect and enhance our hunting heritage. NRA worked to reform federal law on migratory birdhunting. We have fought to keep federal lands open to hunting, to open more federal lands for hunters, and to protect conservation reserve programs that provide vital habitat for game species. In the states, NRA has worked for passage of youth hunting programs, for no-net-loss bills that ensure the amount of public land available to hunters is not diminished, and for increased hunter access plans like Open Fields and walk-in programs. AHSA has done none of this.

AHSA claims it is promoting “conservation,” but in truth, the groups it is endorsing are radical environmental groups. For these groups, hunting is either not a factor at all, or, at best, something to be endured but not promoted. In fact, these groups oppose hunting if it interferes with their radical agenda, as it did when it came to listing polar bears as endangered and banning the importation of polar bear trophies.

AHSA knows its report is phony, which is why it never lists any of the anti-gun politicians it is attacking NRA for not supporting. But for AHSA to mislead gun owners and hunters is nothing new. AHSA claims to be pro-gun, but in reality, they are not.

AHSA was created with the specific intent to provide political cover for anti-gun politicians by allowing them to claim support from a “sportsmen’s” group. In truth, the anti-gun credentials of AHSA’s leadership is well documented. In 2000, AHSA president Ray Schoenke donated $5,000 to Handgun Control, Inc. (now the Brady Campaign) and the Ray and Holly Schoenke Foundation also made donations to the Brady Campaign. Former AHSA Board member John Rosenthal remains the leader of Stop Handgun Violence, and has recently unveiled a new anti-gun billboard in Massachusetts attacking gun shows with misleading and untrue claims. And one of the leading organizers, and current Executive Director, of AHSA is Bob Ricker, who has been a paid expert witness against gun manufacturers in a number of reckless lawsuits. (For more information, see Anti-Gunners Don Camo As Elections Loom.)

AHSA is a front group for left-wing zealots who want to fool sportsmen into voting for anti-gun candidates by lying to them about the issues. That is why AHSA has endorsed Barack Obama and his extreme anti-gun views. That is why AHSA is now attacking NRA for failing to endorse men and women who would end most gun ownership in America, including the guns used by hunters. NRA members, and everyone who really cares about our hunting tradition, should be reassured that NRA does not, and will not ever, endorse the vast majority of radical anti-gun zealots regularly supported by the Sierra Club and AHSA.

Why the Left can’t get it Right

July 21, 2008

By Mark Alexander

Ask a liberal about some manifestation of his worldview—for example, why he supports charlatans like Barack Hussein Obama, Hillary Rodham Clinton, Albert Arnold Gore, Jean-Francois Kerry, et al., and he invariably predicates his response with, “Because I feel…”

Ask a conservative about what he believes, or why he does or doesn’t support John McCain, and he invariably predicates his response with, “Because I think…”

It has always been easier to “feel” rather than “think,” and that is why our national culture, and by extension, national politics (see Democrat Party Platforms) reflect only the most rudimentary remnants of the guiding principles established by our Founders. Of course, though Republican Party Platforms are more consistent with our Founding principles, Ronald Reagan was the last Republican president to stand firmly in support of those principles.

Liberalism tends to appeal to the worst of human instincts—greed, envy, laziness, victimization and every line of division. Its practitioners appeal to constituent “feelings,” and they thus convert emotions into political capital.

Leftist pathology is deserving of its own category on the short list of personality disorders, and liberal politicians have one uniformly defining characteristic: hypocrisy.

Liberal politicos advocate populist themes but are consummate elitists. They feign concern for the plight of the poor while hobnobbing with the richest of the rich. They are charitable with everyone’s income but their own. They decry school vouchers yet send their children to the finest academies. They hate SUVs, unless they are expensive imports. They advocate mass transit but commute on private jets. They express concern for the homeless yet maintain multiple manors.

Liberals advocate diversity, unless your views don’t comport with their own doctrines of moral relativism. They want to preserve nature and the natural order but advocate homosexual “marriage.” They oppose the death penalty for the most heinous of criminal sociopaths, but they support the execution of unborn children in their mothers’ wombs. They believed that one nut who bombs an abortion clinic deserves far more law-enforcement attention than jihadi cells planning the 9/11 attacks. They called 9/11 victims “Little Eichmanns” while calling their murderers “oppressed.” They “support our troops” while calling for retreat and surrender.

Liberals call for “change” but are firmly committed to the status quo. They oppose nuclear power production while complaining about “global warming.” They call for racial, ethnic and religious harmony, but they rally constituencies by fomenting division and hate. They deride moral clarity because they can’t survive its scrutiny.

Indeed, liberals have turned the wisdom of their iconic sovereigns inside out.

Then: “My fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country.” —John F. Kennedy, Inaugural Address, 1961

Now: “Ask not what you can do for your country, ask what your country can do for you.”

Then: “I have a dream that my children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” —Martin L. King, Address from the Lincoln Memorial, 1963

Now: “I have a dream that my children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the content of their character but by the color of their skin.”

Liberals have replaced the original Constitution with their so-called “Living Constitution” so that they can insist on viewing the First Amendment through a wide-angle lens—except, of course, the “freedom of religion” part, where they opt to censor Christianity while imposing secular atheism. They advocate a “Wall of Separation” between church and state, but they tear down any obstacles between your income and the state. Of course, they also insist on viewing the Second Amendment through a pinhole.

Liberals protest economic recession, all the while suppressing economic growth with evermore taxes and regulations. Most of them are card-carrying members of the ignoble ranks of “useful idiots,” those Western apologists for Marxist-Leninist-Maoist collectivism. Of course, that card reads: “Member, Democrat National Committee.”

I have no doubt that you’ve already come up with a list of additional examples of liberal hypocrisy. Unfortunately, there isn’t enough bandwidth on the Internet to compile a comprehensive list here. (Feel free to post additional examples on our reader comments page.)

Liberal and conservative worldviews often collide for this reason: Disciplined conservatives put God first, family and country second and themselves third, while liberals tend to put themselves first, their country last, and serve gods made in their image. This is the most defining philosophical distinction between these two groups.

As we approach the next presidential election, Leftmedia types suggest that most Americans are in the middle—“moderate” or “centrist.” But political researchers are finding that we are in fact a deeply divided nation, with many voters strongly identifying with either conservative or liberal doctrines.

Let’s hope and pray that more of our fellow Americans, those guided by their feelings, will think better of this process and vote on right-minded principles. Otherwise, it will be difficult to seat candidates who, in the words of Samuel Adams, possess the qualities of “wisdom and knowledge, of moderation and temperance, of patience, fortitude and perseverance, of sobriety and true republican simplicity of manners, of zeal for the honour of the Supreme Being and the welfare of the commonwealth…”

Sort of reminds me of something we were taught in Devil Pups on Camp Pendleton all those years ago. God, Family, Country, Corps…
