Surrender monkey’s: Flag this message Boehner and Cantor Surrender… Again

January 22, 2013

Just hours ago, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid announced he will postpone his assault on the filibuster until Thursday.

This battle is far from over, but thanks to your consistent action and quick work to turn up the pressure, it’s clear Harry Reid is scrambling to find the votes he needs.

But right now, there’s another all-out EMERGENCY C4L needs your help to combat.

Tomorrow, in a push led by Speaker John Boehner and Majority Leader Eric Cantor, the U.S. House is scheduled to vote on a plan to increase the debt limit by… infinity.

You see, passage of this scheme would hand President Obama a blank check to spend whatever he can get through Congress before this summer!

That’s why it’s vital you give Speaker Boehner, Majority Leader Cantor, and your U.S. Representative a piece of your mind IMMEDIATELY!

Only weeks ago, as they caved in to President Obama’s demands for higher spending and increased taxes, Republican leadership told you and me not to worry.

Sure, our nation is mired in over $16 TRILLION of debt.

Sure, it’s common sense that Congress needs to rein in its reckless, drunken spending.

But first, they had to cave in to President Obama on economy-crushing higher taxes (and just you never mind that their plan hiked spending, too)…

The good news, we were told, was the new debt ceiling fight would surely give fiscal conservatives the “leverage” they’d been seeking to cut spending!

Now, those outright LIES have been totally exposed.

It seems Speaker Boehner and Eric Cantor are afraid to EVER stand up to President Obama and Harry Reid’s demands for more spending.

In fact, under this new scheme, whatever new spending hikes, massive new boondoggles, and outrageous new assaults on our liberties President Obama can ram through an increasingly compliant Congress by May 19 will be automatically funded with borrowing increases.

And with the Federal Reserve eager to buy up as much debt as they can with dollars created out of thin air, I fear what this could mean to our already fragile economy.

That’s why it’s vital you take action right away!

Please call House Speaker John Boehner and Majority Leader Eric Cantor at once.

Speaker Boehner –  (202) 225-0600

Majority Leader Cantor –  (202) 225-4000

Tell them exactly what you think of this new scheme to grow government, chicken out from taking a stand again, and stick you with the bill – and do not mince words.

While you’re at it, call your U.S. Representative:

(202) 224-3121

Tell your Representative to vote “NO!” on this radical scheme before it’s too late.

Our window to make our voices heard is rapidly closing, so please act at once!

In Liberty,

These people are “leaders?” I caught a lot of hell for calling Romney “obamalite” but take a look please, at most of the rest of the Republicans! We need a whole new batch of Libertarians in places of power. No, not the whack jobs that caused me to leave the party, but the types that Ronald Reagan referred to as the heart and soul of Conservatism. My quote may not be exact, but you get the picture. Liberty and Freedom of the common man and woman most often provide solutions for virtually all of our problems. While government just screws things up beyond belief. Usually via unintended consequences. Is the majority of America, even including the illegal aliens residing here really all that stuck on stupid..? Free cheese isn’t free people, and Freedom isn’t, and never has been “free.”

The Bill of Rights, according to Common Law. Come and take them from me. God willing!

You can’t say that we didn’t warn you Colorado!

April 9, 2012

(Denver) – Recently, the Regional Transportation District (RTD) Board of Directors decided to refer a hybrid request to the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG), to approve a revised plan to implement the FasTracks project. Included in this plan is a 100% increase in the RTD sales tax, dedicated to completing the FasTracks project.

A local citizens group, ‘Truth About Transportation‘ (TAT), has studied the promises made by RTD in 2004 versus what RTD will actually deliver.

You can read the details of the entire 2004 FasTracks plan from RTD here.

Those promises included:

  • A 12 year completion plan. (2017) to complete the project
  • At a cost of $4.7 billion
  • Provided by a 0.4% sales tax
  • New and expanded rapid transit in nine major travel corridors, funding over 119 miles of light rail and commuter rail
  • And a plethora of other promises made and not kept

Truth About Transportation is a citizens group that opposes any further tax increase to fund the FasTracks project, beyond the 0.4% sales tax that voters approved in 2004. TAT believes that RTD should be held accountable to voters to deliver what was promised in 2004.

TAT will be highlighting this lack of accountability and failure to deliver, over the next several months.

For more information you can contact Ken Katt at 303.338.9149. You can visit the TAT web site at TATColorado.com or email us at kennethkatt@aol.com.

Voters Unhappy with Congress; and other things of note

May 18, 2011

Voters are, again, not so pleased with Congress, so says USA Today / Gallup poll. (Wednesday May 18,2011, front page USA today, by Susan Page.)

No kidding..? My, my, I never would have guessed that… Seems that the peoples mandate was in fact ignored by many that reside in hallowed offices in foggy bottom.

Just say what people want to hear, and go on about your merry ways.

Well folks, that, is specifically what the TEA Party is all about. Make it local, and in their faces, period. All this national TEA Party noise simply ignores why people joined together in this movement against higher taxes and ever expanding government. Government that intrudes on your life, right at home… Texas Fred does a great job exposing threats such as intrusion by government under color of law HERE.

Perhaps greeting politicians locally that are failing with a pot of tar and an opened down pillow will open their collective eyes..?

On to other things.

Seems that Emergency Rooms are still going the way of the passenger pigeon. Yet, the various stories that I have read, or watched on the news have been quite politically correct, and refuse to acknowledge one of the primary causes of closures nationwide. Use by illegal aliens, and others, of Emergency Departments for primary care; with no intent whatsoever of paying for the services rendered. It’s called fraud people, plain and simply put.

The Socialist scum head of the IMF get’s popped for alleged sexual assault. All fine and good; however as pointed out by Michael Savage on his show the other evening no proof is needed in this day and age for a woman to be able to destroy a man simply based upon her complaint of sexual or domestic battery. Sorry Michael, but you did not lead the charge. Do a search of “mysandry.” Better late than never though, and welcome aboard!

The middle east… What a mess to say the least. I’ve been calling for Dear Leader Gadhafi’s head to adorn a fence post for more years than I care to admit to. But just who will run the place after he has been ousted..? More Muslim Brotherhood types? Simply exchanging one despot for a group of despots is no solution. Same thing goes for Syria. While we are at it (examining ) the region. The U.N. will be voting on recognition of the Palestinian National State soon. Since epic fail obama, and his cronies are forever kissing the butts of Arabs / Muslims I suppose we can all guess what sort of support Israel will get from the U.S. on this issue of great importance. What’s yet another friend tossed under the bus..?

The Queen visits Ireland. Land of my forefathers never forget “Bloody Sunday.” But at the same time don’t allow Erie to whither because of old grievances.

The economy continues to falter, while the administration continues to tell us all how great things are becoming. This is a recording… (or so it seems!) If this lie can be pulled off, the epic fail obama is indeed assured a second term, and the destruction of America will be at hand.

That’s all for now folks.

Assault weapons and the truth: Here we go again..!

December 2, 2010

The Obama administration is moving into high gear in putting gun-control advocates into important government positions. The administration’s nominee to head the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE), Andrew Traver, should be of particular concern. His attacks on the civilian use of so-called assault weapons raise real questions about his willingness to distort the truth for political purposes. The person nominated to be the nation’s top gun cop shouldn’t use inaccurate descriptions to scare people into supporting gun control.

Mr. Traver is the special agent in charge of the BATFE’s Chicago field division. Therefore, he knows what was covered by the federal assault-weapons ban that sunset in 2004. But in November 2009, NBC interviewed Traver and reported: “Traver says the power and randomness of the heavy caliber, military-style weapons make them so dangerous not only to people, but to police. They’re so powerful, body armor can’t withstand a hit, and they’re so difficult to control, their bullets often get sprayed beyond the intended targets, striking innocent victims even when they’re in their own homes.”

SOURCE & SNIP

And further…

The list of problems with Mr. Traver’s claims is very long. If he really believes that these weapons fire unacceptably “heavy caliber” bullets, he is going to have to ban virtually all rifles. Small-game rifles — guns designed to kill squirrels and rabbits without destroying too much meat — typically fire .22-caliber bullets, which are only slightly smaller than the .223-caliber bullets fired by the M16 (used by the U.S. military since Vietnam) and the newer M4 carbine (used in the Afghanistan and Iraq wars). Deer-hunting rifles fire rounds that are very similar to those used by the AK-47.

Speaking of M16s, M4s, and AK-47s, Traver is correct when he states that the guns covered by the federal assault-weapons ban were “military-style weapons.” But he fails to note that this really just deals with style — the cosmetics of the guns, not how they actually operate. The guns covered by the ban were not the machine guns actually used by the military, but civilian, semi-automatic versions of those guns. The civilian version of the AK-47 may look like the guns used by militaries around the world, but it is different. It fires essentially the same bullets as deer-hunting rifles at the same rapidity (one bullet per pull of the trigger), and does the same damage.

On penetrating body armor, Mr. Traver leaves out one important detail: Rifles in general are often able to penetrate body armor simply because their bullets travel faster than those fired from handguns. The same can be said for going through the walls of houses. But if he had said that deer-hunting rifles can often penetrate walls and lower-level types of body armor, it is unlikely that his comments would have generated the same fear.

Unfortunately, Mr. Traver has done more than make clearly inaccurate claims about so-called “assault weapons.” He has supported banning .50-caliber rifles, regulations that would force many gun shows to close down, the Chicago handgun ban, and repealing the Tiahrt Amendment, which protects sensitive trace data from being misused in frivolous municipal lawsuits against gun makers. He also worked with the Joyce Foundation, which has funded gun-ban groups such as the Violence Policy Center, on the “Gun Violence Reduction Project.”

The fact that Mr. Traver uses the same misleading claims as groups such as the Brady Campaign shouldn’t make it too surprising that gun-control groups are applauding his nomination. Nor is Traver’s nomination very surprising after President Obama appointed two strong anti-self-defense members to the Supreme Court. But Mr. Traver’s nomination is dangerous. Making up claims about guns to demonize them is beyond what is acceptable for someone who wants a position in which he will be regulating American gun ownership.

More of the same from the nanny government types that ignore the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Now, as a retired Paramedic I can tell you a truism. Get smacked between the eyes with a single shot twenty gauge shotgun, or a fully automatic M2 Fifty caliber machine gun, the result is the exact same thing. You got smacked to death, period. So stop blaming calibers.

“Assault” weapons..? Hey creeps I got a question for you. Why is it that you want to ban effective weaponry to American citizens when the bad guys; be they terrorist’s or criminals don’t bother with things like background checks, or proper training (Mexican Drug Cartels aside.) and buy black market “Choppers” (Full Auto AK47’s) but think that Americans shouldn’t be allowed similar effective weapons..?

The answer is indeed oh so obvious. You “Hate America First.” As well as all things American. Such as refusing to bend a knee toward oppression, kneeling firing position notwithstanding.

Since I support the Minutemen, and other similar groups that support Freedom and Liberty I will in all probability be branded a racist.’ That is after all, what the hell you people do when you cannot argue anything at all based upon logic or reason.

After all, you lost the “sexist” angle when so many women started buying weapons to defend themselves and their families from leftist’s goons… Not from me or others like me. Those folks are often, defined as Social Services, and the BATFE. Best watch out when you go out to destroy a family these days. After all, you never know when that Cop standing next to you is an “Oath Keeper.”

Keep the fire burning friends. As in our newly elected Taxed Enough Already butts. No more of the same old game. No more compromise when Liberty and Freedom are at stake.

PERIOD!

I have no faith whatsoever, in the Country Club Blue Blood Republicans.

Leftists get it backwards, as usual

Loud mouths: “The conservative voices of America, they are holding you down. They don’t believe in your freedom. They want the concentration of wealth. They’ve shipped your job overseas. … They suppress your vote. … They talk about the Constitution, but they don’t want to live by it. They talk about our forefathers, but they want discrimination.” –radio talk-show host Ed Schultz at Saturday’s “One Nation” rally in DC

A smattering of leftists descended on the National Mall over the weekend to make sure everyone knows they hate the Tea Party. And while they were at it, they trashed the place. See for yourself.

Conservative cross-examination: “Good Morning America on Sunday recapped the liberal One Nation rally held on the nation’s capital, Saturday, but skipped any mention of the socialist and Communist themed signs seen during the march. These are some of the signs that were featured during reporter Tahman Bradley’s segment: ‘Peace, justice, equality, hope, change,’ ‘Fair trade, not free trade,’ ‘Educate every child,’ ‘Full and fair employment’ and ‘Silence GOP lies.’ However, signs with the Communist Party USA logo, posters reading ‘Capitalism is failing, socialism is the alternative’ and ‘Build a socialist alternative’ were not.” –Media Research Center’s Brent Baker

Psychology: “I think [the Tea Party is] more about believing in this preposterous fantasy that white people are some kind of oppressed minority in the age of Obama.” –MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell

“This morning, is the Tea Party losing traction? Our new poll says the answer may be yes…. [I]t seems like the more exposure the Tea Party is getting, the less popular it’s becoming.” –ABC’s George Stephanopoulos

“It sounds like we’re listening to the Cro-Magnon political party sometimes. They don’t believe in evolution, they believe guns should be used against congressmen and congresswomen if you don’t like the way they voted and we should reconsider the best thing Congress has done in 100 years — civil rights. So what do you make of your political party and the candidates that the Tea Partiers have shoved forward?” –MSNBC’s Chris Matthews

Useful Idiot: “I looked through [Obama’s] statement, and, you know, when he says things like ‘Jesus died for my sins. I’m saved by God’s salvation’ — that’s about as definitive as you can get. At this point, if jackasses out there question his faith, they’re just haters.” –MSNBC’s token “conservative,” Joe Scarborough

Mayor Bloomberg blasts Tea Party, describes it as often irrational, ‘not a political movement’

October 2, 2010

The straw purchase felon is back at it mischaracterizing people that he disagrees with. Nothing really new there, however, it is disturbing that the people of New York City actually put up with it.

As my good friend and fellow Blogger Texas Fred posted:

These are the Core Values of the TEA Party:

*Uphold the U.S. Constitution*
*Limited Government*
*Fiscal Responsibility*
*Free Markets*

Try as I might, I can’t find anything in the Core Values of the TEA Party that mentions abortion, guns or homosexuality. I have looked, diligently!

The Taxed Enough Party has already won..? :More on the epic failure obama

September 19, 2010

Seems like the tea leaves are in fact being read. (Pun intended) However, I happen to think that these folks just might be jumping the gun. One should not count their chickens before they hatch!

Even before Christine O’Donnell handily defeated Rep. Mike Castle (R-Del.) in an epic upset Tuesday night, the Tea Parties, all of them, had already won. No matter what happens in the midterm elections on Nov. 2, the Tea Party has moved the Democrats to the right and the Republicans even more so, and President Obama’s agenda is dead.

Anger from disaffected conservatives who sat quietly through eight years of the surplus-to-deficit presidency of George W. Bush bubbled up immediately after Obama took office. All it took was the unprecedented $787 billion stimulus package, and before Obama could mark his first 100 days in office, a movement was born. Some of the already angry yet newly active were libertarian supporters of Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas), and almost all of them were fuming over the Troubled Asset Relief Program of 2008, the bipartisan bailout of Wall Street that Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) voted for and that his running mate, then-Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R), supported.

Huge Win in Delaware!
— Christine O’Donnell Adds to String of GOA Victories

Gun Owners of America-backed candidate Christine O’Donnell completed a dramatic come-from-behind victory in Tuesday’s Delaware Senate primary.

O’Donnell was up against a member of Congress who earned the notorious distinction as the most anti-gun Republican in the House. But despite the backing of the Republican establishment in Washington, Mike Castle was handily defeated by pro-gunner O’Donnell.

The implications of this win are huge, not only for the next session of Congress, but also in a potential lame-duck session later this year. Because this is a special election to fill the seat of Vice-President Joseph Biden, O’Donnell will take office immediately following the November election if she defeats her Democrat opponent.
Anti-gun congressional Democrat leaders seem intent on a lame duck session, but the addition of just a single constitutionalist to the Senate will go a long way towards stopping any gun control from sneaking through in the waning days of 2010.

Unfortunately, the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) has already tried to pull the rug out from under Christine O’Donnell by announcing that the Committee will not support her campaign in the general election. It is an outrage that the NRSC would have spent millions of dollars on an anti-gunner, while it is not interested in helping a pro-gun constitutionalist.

But Christine won the primary without their help, and GOA will be sure to work with its grassroots network to drive support to the O’Donnell campaign. You can contact NRSC Chairman John Cornyn at info@nrsc.org to express your outrage at this decision.

Also on Tuesday, Ovide Lamontagne defeated the establishment candidate in the Republican primary in New Hampshire, in a race to replace retiring anti-gun Senator Judd Gregg. Lamontagne also earned the endorsement of GOA.

The O’Donnell and Lamontagne wins add to a string of victories for GOA-backed candidates this year in Senate primaries in Nevada, Kentucky, Utah, Colorado, as well as the non-primary in Florida (where Marco Rubio chased Gov. Charlie Crist out of the primary — and out of the Republican Party).

All of the candidates supported by GOA-PVF were opposed by the Republican establishment in their respective primaries. And all of these candidates agree with Gun Owners of America that it is not enough simply to defeat anti-gunners in elections. They must also be replaced with leaders who will fight to restore Constitutional liberties that have been under attack for decades. (You can visit www.goapvf.org to keep up with GOA candidates.)

It is safe to say that the 2010 elections may be the most important in our lifetimes, with America’s constitutional republic hanging in the balance.

And make no mistake, if establishment Republicans like Mike Castle were victorious in their primaries, it would not matter which party was in control of Congress. Both parties in Washington are guilty of growing the federal government at the expense of the peoples’ liberty.

But candidates supported by GOA — pro-freedom champions like O’Donnell, Sharron Angle, Rand Paul, and Marco Rubio, to name just a few — have no intention of coming to Washington to blend into the woodwork. If most or all of these candidates win in November, it will go a long way toward slamming the brakes on the anti-gun, socialist Obama agenda.

So we are really in the midst of exciting times, and GOA is looking forward to working with a slew of new members of Congress to protect and restore the right to keep and bears arms as the Founders intended.

Of course, GOA is only effective because of the activism and support of hundreds of thousands of members and supporters.

If you are not yet a member of the organization called “the only no compromise gun lobby in Washington,” please consider joining GOA today for a minimum contribution of only $20 at http://gunowners.org/ordergoamem.htm.

In Liberty,

Tim Macy
Vice-Chairman

PS — Please don’t forget to express your outrage at NRSC Chairman John Cornyn’s decision NOT to support pro-gunner Christine O’Donnell in the general election, now that she won the primary. You can email info@nrsc.org to send a message.

Taxed Enough Already: Victory?

September 15, 2010

So, we had some success yesterday at the polls. But what does that mean? Certainly we will not take over the entire Senate or Congress. However, if you read the tea leaves, pun intended, the Communist’s /democrats that are in office are running like all hell from what they have done while in power. So are the Republicans in name only.

Never the less we shall hold their feet to the fire, all of them. We will not forget those that have done their very best to destroy freedom and liberty.

Playing the Race card: A dead mans hand…

April 1, 2010

When people on the left simply cannot come up with rational arguments to use against their opponents it is inevitable that they play the race card. Often in conjunction with the “it’s for the children” card.  Sorry, but that just does not cut it anymore, we are  on to you, and those things just don’t work any longer.  But? You just keep on playing those ace’s and eights.

Racist, or just tired of too much government?

“Democrats last week began a well-orchestrated campaign to change the subject from Obamacare by declaring Republicans the newest terrorist threat. House Majority leader Steny H. Hoyer claimed that Democrats faced threats of violence in their home districts. He demanded that Republicans take a stand against it. ‘Silence gives consent,’ added Majority Whip James E. Clyburn, who accused Republicans of ‘aiding and abetting this kind of terrorism.’ Democrats promptly exploited their own fear-mongering by rushing out a fundraising letter. Meanwhile, a shot was fired through the window of Republican House Minority Whip Eric Cantor’s Richmond office. Instead of attempting to fill his campaign coffers over the incident, Mr. Cantor denounced Democratic recklessness in creating ‘media vehicles for political gain.’ To hear Mr. Clyburn talk, you’d think the Capitol had been bombed — like President Obama’s spiritual mentor Bill Ayers and the Weather Underground did in 1971 or the communist Revolutionary Fighting Group did in 1983. We don’t recall Republicans placing the blame on Democrats for those bona fide terror attacks committed by the Democrats’ ideological cousins. For the party’s leaders to make such insinuations now rings hollow. The Democrats and their supporters have consistently demeaned and mischaracterized the broad, nationwide, nonviolent grass-roots movement that arose in opposition to their radical agenda. A willing press establishment relays baseless claims that these protesters are violent uncritically and without investigation. … Any leftist thug is now free to toss a brick through a Democratic congressional district office window secure in the knowledge that the act of vandalism will be blamed automatically on Tea Partiers or Republicans. Such hoaxes are tickets to instant press coverage. … This victimization sideshow is meant to hide the fact that Democrats are pursuing policies that the American people oppose, and they are beginning to face a political price.” —The Washington Times

Anger, venom and bile: “I know how the ‘tea party’ people feel, the anger, venom and bile that many of them showed during the recent House vote on health-care reform. I know because I want to spit on them, take one of their ‘Obama Plan White Slavery’ signs and knock every racist and homophobic tooth out of their Cro-Magnon heads.” –Washington Post columnist Courtland Milloy

That’s racist! “[T]he current surge of anger — and the accompanying rise in right-wing extremism — predates the entire health care debate. … If Obama’s first legislative priority had been immigration or financial reform or climate change, we would have seen the same trajectory. The conjunction of a black president and a female speaker of the House — topped off by a wise Latina on the Supreme Court and a powerful gay Congressional committee chairman — would sow fears of disenfranchisement among a dwindling and threatened minority in the country no matter what policies were in play.” –New York Times columnist Frank Rich with a tired refrain

“[W]hat are the tea partiers really angry about? Health care reform or the fact that it was an African-American president and a woman Speaker of the House who pushed through major change?” –MSNBC host Chris Matthews

Which one of these is not like the other? “[The ‘Don’t Tread on Me‘ flags are] the same imagery that was on [Oklahoma City bomber] Timothy McVeigh, you know? I mean, this is the kind of thing that’s worrisome to me. I don’t see how you can get away from it.” –Fox News contributor Juan Williams, trying desperately to make a connection between the Tea Parties and terrorism

Non Compos Mentis: “Because I think there’s been very consistent strategy from the right to racialize public policies so that poor white people who are often most vulnerable or most in need of those policies will vote against it to align themselves with a certain kind of whiteness, whiteness of property. So the poor white guy in Mississippi who needs welfare votes against welfare because he thinks he’s voting against a poor black woman in Harlem.” –CNN’s Marc Lamont Hill

It’s not fair: “[M]aybe we have reached the point where the Congress needs to equal it out. Equal out the audience. … I think that, you know, hell, if we’re going to be socialist, let’s be socialist all across the board.” –MSNBC radio host Ed Schultz, advocating for the so-called “Fairness Doctrine” simply because Rush Limbaugh has far more listeners than he does
