Heck, one might think that those people were from the Religion of Peace or something the way that they carry on…
So then, just who was it that said that? Certainly not Sheriff Joe, or the Governor of Arizona. No, indeed… It was a hero of the left that said the words that title this post. Yet, he is adored by those that staged the May Day events around the country. Read about just one of those HERE . His picture is on a poster being carried by a protester at the San Fransisco march.
Now, contrast that story with this one.
Imagine a group of angry demonstrators toting swastika-festooned protest signs calling politicians Nazis, shouting obscenities and racial remarks and throwing rocks and bottles at police officers sent to keep order. No, these are not Tea Partiers. They are the mob that turned out last week to protest Arizona’s new immigration-enforcement law. This group of liberal rowdies has been dubbed the Tequila Party.
For the most part, liberal media coverage overlooked all the leftist violence. Typical headlines described the protest as “mostly peaceful,” with media outlets avoiding details about why they had to use the qualifier “mostly.” Reporting a near-riot by the opponents of the Arizona law doesn’t fit the dominant media storyline.
Some of the editorial bias is blatant. An Associated Press story about the Arizona immigration law quoted a 13-year-old Hispanic boy saying, “We can’t be in the streets anymore without the pigs thinking we’re illegal immigrants.” The Washington Post sanitized the boy’s views towards law enforcement by replacing the word “pigs” with “[police].” If a Tea Partier used a slur of any kind, it’s doubtful it would be given the square-bracket treatment. It would probably be a banner headline.

Figure out who this bastion of liberalism is yet? I think it should be noted that Je$$e Jack$on has yet to denounce the actions of the “peaceful” protesters in Arizona, and elsewhere. Nor has our fearless leader, the impostor in chief. After all, they are not the deep pockets…
But I digress… So,any guesses yet? Here are a few more quotations.

Google them if you haven’t been able to figure out who said those things yet. Then, remember it the next time some fool calls Tea Party people racist…
This is really a difficult post to categorize… Seems that a group of oldsters went to voice their opinions to the impostor in chief. Then, the Secret Service, apparently detecting a threat to their beloved had the local SWAT TEAM called out because these graying old folks had the audacity of hoping (pun intended) to sing in the “one’s” august presence…
I have to wonder though, having personally known more than a few members of SWAT TEAMS… If the Secret Service would have ordered them into action? I have a deep feeling that the team would have gone after the Feds rather than the Grandmothers…

A few months back, the commander in chief or our Armed Forces, that erstwhile community organizer Barack Hussein Obama, denigrated a large cross section of Americans who identify with the Tea Party movement — those who advocate for Essential Liberty and Rule of Law.
Obama identified them as malcontents, “waving their little tea bags.”
Since then, the Obama administration and their Leftmedia sycophants have endeavored to characterize Tea Party attendees as rude, radical, racist, redneck, enemies of the state.
In fact, Americans who attend Tea Party rallies are from all walks of life, as noted in the Patriot Declaration, Patriots who are peacefully and constitutionally petitioning their government for redress.
As I noted in my tax-day essay, Tea Parties are “not a call for revolution but for restoration — a call to undertake whatever measures are dictated by prudence and necessity to restore constitutional Rule of Law.”
However, Obama’s words do have consequences.
This week, I was contacted by a number of military personnel, enlisted and officer ranks, who expressed concern about a military exercise underway at Ft. Knox, the U.S. Bullion Depository. As with most such exercises, the Ft. Knox alert occurred in stages, as if real time intelligence was being provided at various intervals.
The first intel advisory was issued on Friday, 23 April 2010, and identifies the terrorist threat adversaries as “Local Militia Groups / Anti-Government Protesters / TEA Party.”
You read that right: “TEA Party”!
The alert states that plans for the demonstration may have been interrupted by “Federal and local law enforcement” raids on a “White Supremacists Organization,” but “TEA Party organizers have stated that they will protest at the Gold Vault at a future date.”
Further, the intel advisory states, “Anti-Government – Health Care Protesters have stated that they would join the TEA Party as a sign of solidarity.”
In accordance with the exercise, Ft. Knox post security is placed on high alert because, “these groups are armed, have combative training and some are former Military Snipers. Some may have explosives training / experience,” and “a rally at their compound / training area is scheduled.”
Another intel update was issued on Monday, 26 April 2010, noting that the “rally at the Militia compound occurred,” and “Viable threats … have been made.” The intel on the rally notes, “Many members were extremely agitated at what they referred to as Government intervention and over taxation in their lives. Alcohol use ‘fanned the flames.’ Many military grade firearms were openly carried. An ad hoc ‘shoot the government agent’ event was held with prizes (alcohol) given for the best shot placement.”
The report states further, “Components of bomb making are reported to have been on the site. Some members have criminal records relating to explosive and weapons violations.”
In response to the “immediate threat,” the exercise stipulates, “local detention centers are being made ready for mass arrests.” Both the “QRF I and QRF II” are placed on two hour recall, and the “5-15 CAV” was ordered to “draw weapons from holder and store in most available arms room,” and “coordinate with MASA for immediate ammunition draw; have equipment readied for immediate use, i.e. vehicles staged and loaded IAW 5-15 CAV SOP; LMR’s charged.”
QRF refers to Quick Reaction Force. QRF I is the 16th Cavalry Regiment. QRF II is the 194th Armored Brigade.
The 26 April order gives specific instructions for the 5-15 CAV (a 16th Cavalry battalion) to have weapons, ammo, vehicles and communications at ready, and it places the other 2,200 members of the units on two-hour recall. In other words, these orders are to gear up for defending Ft. Knox against Tea Party folks and their co-conspirators who oppose nationalization of our health care sector.
Now, for almost 30 years I have participated in the development and implementation of small and large scale military exercises within the U.S. and around the world.
Such exercises are critical to the readiness of our forces, and the standard for the real time intel reports in these drills requires thinly veiled references to assets of existing or collateral threat vectors such as communist regimes such as China and real terrorist networks such as al-Qa’ida, etc.
Perhaps the writers of such exercises today should focus on response plans for, say, an Islamic terrorist who attacks a post. (See Ft. Hood / Major Nidal Malik Hasan.)
The Ft. Knox exercise is not only amateurish in its construct, but also sets an ominous political precedent.
The military officers and enlisted personnel with whom I spoke are all dedicated uniformed Patriots who are loyal, first and foremost, to their oath to “support and defend” our Constitution “against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”
Their concerns about this exercise mirrored my own. As one put it, the exercise “misrepresents freedom loving Americans as drunken, violent racists — the opponents of Obama’s policies have been made the enemy of the U.S. Army.”
They were equally concerned that command staff at Ft. Knox had signed off on this exercise, noting, “it has been issued and owned by field grade officers who lead our battalions and brigades,” which is to say many Lieutenant Colonels saw this order before it was implemented.
It’s not likely that Ft. Knox Commanding General James Milano or Deputy Commander Col. David Teeples, or even the regimental and brigade commanders for the 16th Cav and 194th AB, actually read the exercise scenario, but that doesn’t absolve responsibility for such an egregious example of political exploitation of U.S. forces.
One officer insisted, “The American people should require greater accountability of their commissioned officers, that they abide by their oath and never allow politically motivated propaganda like this exercise on any post or base again.”
Another observed, “Whether this is complacency by officers who do not see such orders as a problem, or worse, officers who recognize the problem but do not insist the orders are changed, this is a serious problem. We are discussing the training of American citizen soldiers in the use of potentially deadly force against a specific group of political dissenters. There is never a time in an officer’s career in which he does not have a duty to apply critical thought to the orders he is given and asked to give. It is my opinion that any officer that has allowed these orders to persist, to reach the level of junior officers and soldiers, has demonstrated a lack of judgment or apathy towards what his duty requires of him. Either way, we should demand more of the commissioned officers, who we as a nation empower to lead our sons and daughters into battle.”
Indeed, and at best, the blatant malfeasance on the part of the individuals who composed this exercise reflects poorly on the uniformed services.
The antidote to this patent misrepresentation of peaceable Patriots is to expose it with the Light of Truth. As our motto Veritas vos Liberabit affirms, the Truth shall set you Free!

It was Sunday after spending the weekend in Sheridan for the local Tea Party, we were leaving the hotel to head back home, while driving only 100 yards away, there were two police officers coming up the hill on foot carrying AR-15 rifles.
As we approached them they stopped my vehicle and the officers yelled “put up your hands” to myself, wife and my little girl, then I was ordered to step out of my vehicle. (while armed of course)
The officer demanded my I.D. to which I responded “you aren’t getting anything, I didn’t break any law”.
The part that really sticks in my head is this- in one of his hands (Sgt. Kody Lamb) was an AR-15 Rifle and his other free hand shuttered like he was on an extreme adrenaline rush, I thought to myself he better keep his finger off the trigger.
I told Lamb “he had a duty to protect my rights and not act on the whim of a tourist that doesn’t know it’s legal to have firearms here”. I also asked him if he “read our Constitution”, Lamb said he was aware of what it said” then I said to him “didn’t you take an oath to uphold it?”
Then there’s this- when the officer Sgt. Kody Lamb realizes he doesn’t have a beef, he threatens me with “disturbing the peace”. To which I responded “I was on private property with the owner’s consent”, and then Sgt. Kody Lamb stated it was a place frequented by the public.
This has become the norm, for police to twist things around when they want to bully someone.
I told Lamb “I want to speak to your supervisor”, Lamb responded with “I am the supervisor”, It was at this point that I knew the Peter Principle was in play, a philosophy that in a Hierarchy “Every Employee Tends to Rise to His Level of Incompetence”.
Why would officers respond in this manner to a “man with gun call” when their own report states about me- “is not seeming to be a threat just standing there”.
Why didn’t they ask more questions BEFORE ARRIVING, like this simple one- Has he threatened anyone?
Hell no, let’s just storm in there because we have a badge, guns and adrenaline.
Maybe this is a response to my speech at the Sheridan Tea Party, by the way when we were setting up for the event, a police officer questioned me about the way I was carrying my firearm. (holstered, cocked and locked and in plain view) I told him I always carry this way. he responded to me with “That’s not what I asked you” citing this “he had a duty to protect the public”. I later asked him how he felt about “concealed carry without a permit” like Arizona just passed into law, he said no one should be allowed to carry without a permit. Are you seeing the anti-gun police union agenda? You know the “only ones” mentality.
The next day after the incident the police refused to let me have the dispatch recordings unless, I “have a subpoena”, also I was told that the police report wouldn’t be available for a week, but apparently they handed their reports over to the local newspaper within hours of telling me otherwise. Does any of this sound suspect?
I also contacted Evidence Technician Stephen Johnson inquiring about exactly what statute they are using to deny the dispatch recordings, he has refused to return my call.
Wyoming statute states that “the person in interest” is allowed to have access to the recordings, but the the City of Sheridan would rather flex their power. The City Attorney Mia Mikesell said “she didn’t have to cite statute” to me and “it was their policy” to ask for a Subpoena, she then hung up on me.
It is these lawless Bureaucrats, Police and Attorneys that are nipping away at the Republic on a daily basis.
The question is- are we going to be silent and just let it happen?
The City of Sheridan web-site says: they have been voted #1 Western Town of the Year for its truly special qualities…“Enjoy a frontier spirit that values friendship – and independence”, really? NOT SO MUCH!
Area Citizens should call and tell them you don’t appreciate this kind of treatment and expect more from the police officers that work for “we the people”.
Tourists- call them and tell them you will skip Sheridan, tourism dollars will be spent elsewhere.

Strengths and weakness, two parts of the same movement as previously noted here and at Texas Fred’s as well as a few other well thought out places. Sometimes a weakness as perceived, is in reality a strength. Leadership is always needed but in what form? All it takes is an identifiable leader or centralized group, and guess what? Enemies of freedom and liberty will attack them on all fronts. As exemplified by the actions and tactics of organizations dedicated to the downfall of free thinking and action. The SPLC and BATFE certainly come to mind. The answer may well be to choose ideas and not men to follow and support. I know that many that read here believe that this is primarily a Second Amendment blog. It’s not though, it’s a blog about the Bill of Rights and free markets, at least when it comes to politics and economics. Those things, ideas, they cannot be charged by some prosecutor with a RICO Act crime. Perhaps that is then the way to advance the cause of liberty and freedom. The Resurrection of First PrinciplesIt took the election of a “community organizer” and ideological Socialist “professor” Barack Hussein Obama to launch a popular resurgence of interest in constitutional Rule of Law and the First Principles upon which our nation was founded.
And not a moment too soon.
Over the last two years, the ranks of politically active Patriots have swelled through conservative recruiting channels such as the Tea Party movement, whose growth has been entirely from the grassroots, despite the best (or worst?) efforts of some Beltway Republican establishment types to co-opt and put their brand upon the movement. Happily, Patriots have shown remarkable resilience against those golden-tongued powers of persuasion.
I, for one, welcome every American to the front lines in defense of our Constitution, but I also know that there will be many efforts to assign these Patriots into one political camp or the other.
One of the strengths of the Tea Party movement, its lack of central organization, can also be one of its greatest weaknesses. If the movement fails to unite ideologically behind the restoration of constitutional integrity and the Rule of Law, it risks devolving into a plethora of special interest constituencies which will be easily defeated or have no more power than the para-political organizations that vie for their sentiments.
As Benjamin Franklin said famously when signing the Declaration of Independence, “We must, indeed, all hang together, or most assuredly we will all hang separately.”
And we derive great strength and unity in forming this front to defend our Constitution as the primary objective of the growing Patriot movement. I know from our nation’s history, and from personal experience, that the only guiding authority that Patriots need is the plain language of the Constitution itself.
Back in 1996, a small group of Patriots deeply devoted to our Constitution, which we had pledged “to support and defend,” endeavored to challenge the Leftmedia’s stranglehold on public opinion, particularly as it pertained to the role of government and promotion of Leftist policies.
To provide sustenance for those endeavoring to restore our Constitution’s rightful standing as the Supreme Rule of Law of the United States, we established The Federalist, an online grassroots journal providing constitutionally conservative analysis of news, policy and opinion, with the express mission of “advocating Essential Liberty, the restoration of constitutional limits on government and the judiciary, and the promotion of free enterprise, national defense and traditional American values.”
Our objective was, and remains, “to provide Patriots across our nation with a touchstone of First Principles.”
Demand for The Federalist grew rapidly, to put it mildly. A few years later, we adopted the name The Patriot Post in keeping with the growing constituency we serve.
Now, I certainly do not suggest that we were the only folks back in ’96 advocating for the restoration of constitutional Rule of Law. We took our inspiration from, and owe our success to, President Ronald Reagan and his Patriot team, many of whom were our earliest promoters and supporters. They sparked the flame to revitalize our Constitution’s legal standing some two decades earlier, at the juncture of our nation’s bicentennial.
We also owe a great debt to conservative protagonists such as National Review founder William F. Buckley Jr., and the Heritage Foundation’s Edwin J. Feulner, both of whom provided meaningful guidance and assistance to get us under way.
Of course, I’d be remiss if I failed also to credit Albert Arnold Gore, who “took the initiative in creating the Internet” for us, and then galvanized those of us interested in national sovereignty in opposition to his utopian scheme to socialize the world economy, ostensibly to thwart “global warming.”
I believe the most important factor in our success has been our steadfast commitment to the Rule of Law, the supremacy of our national Constitution in all matters pertaining to the role and authority of our central government, and our analysis of the same.
We have endeavored to keep our eye on the prize, and we’ve thus avoided being co-opted by any political party or organization.
That will be the challenge for the independent Tea Party Patriots and other conservative movements — to keep their eyes firmly affixed on the task of restoring our Constitution and its prescription for Rule of Law, and to avoid the risk of being swallowed up by large, centralized poli-wonks.
Last week, my friend Ed Feulner, and many other colleagues, released “The Mount Vernon Statement,” a document similar in substance to the “Sharon Statement” released in 1960 by a group of conservative intellectuals including Bill Buckley, M. Stanton Evans and Annette Kirk (widow of influential American conservative Russell Kirk).
Feulner and his staff at the Heritage Foundation have been uniformly resolute in their support for constitutional Rule of Law.
Ten years ago, I met with key staff members of the Heritage Foundation and encouraged them to adopt the practice of posting, in the introductory abstract of their papers, the specific constitutional authority for every policy position they advocate. Two years ago, Heritage launched their massive First Principles initiative, with the objective of asserting constitutional authority as the centerpiece of their mission.
While I applaud the entire Heritage team for their First Principles endeavor, I note that some of the principal signatories of the Mount Vernon Statement, though “conservative” by label, do not meet The Patriot standard of reliance upon the plain language of our Constitution, nor are many of those signatories representative of the “grassroots” movement they seek to unify around this statement.
With that in mind, I reiterate that any real movement to restore the integrity of our Constitution must be bottom-up, not top-down. Patriots need only subscribe to one mission statement, the first statement of conservative principles, our Constitution.
The GOP establishment squandered its opportunity to reassert First Principles when it held majorities under George W. Bush, and the party will have to demonstrate an authentic commitment to those principles if it is to gain the trust of a single American Patriot.
Real constitutional reform will come about only when Patriots across the nation demand the restoration of Essential Liberty as “endowed by their Creator,” and they widely articulate the difference between Rule of Law and rule of men.
If you have taken an oath to support and defend our Constitution, I invite you to revisit that venerable document and ask you to reaffirm your oath.
If you have not affirmed that commitment, I invite you to gain a full understanding of our Constitution and then take your oath — and abide by it to your last breath, just as our Founding Fathers mutually pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor.
In the words of George Washington, “Let it simply be asked where is the security for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation deserts the oaths…?”

A new Web site targeting the tea parties is a part of a complex network of money flowing from the mountainous coffers of the country’s biggest labor unions and trickling slowly into political slush funds for Democratic activists.
A seemingly grassroots organization that’s mounted an online campaign to counter the tea party movement is actually the front end of an elaborate scheme that funnels funds — including sizable labor union contributions — through the offices of a prominent Democratic party lawyer.
A Web site popped up in January dedicated to preventing the tea party’s “radical” and “dangerous” ideas from “gaining legislative traction,” targeting GOP candidates in Illinois for the firing squad.
“This movement is a fad,” proclaims TheTeaPartyIsOver.org, which was established by the American Public Policy Center (APPC), a D.C.-based campaign shop that few people have ever heard of.
But a close look reveals the APPC’s place in a complex network of money flowing from the mountainous coffers of the country’s biggest labor unions into political slush funds for Democratic activists.
Here’s how it works: What appears like a local groundswell is in fact the creation of two men — Craig Varoga and George Rakis, Democratic Party strategists who have set up a number of so-called 527 groups, the non-profit election organizations that hammer on contentious issues (think Swift Boats, for example).
Trying to hide like that smacks of cowardice.

I am black and I support the Tea Party!
Those words alone have sent reverberations up and down both parties. In fact, I’ve been called an “enigma”. For now, there are not too many blacks in the Tea Party. My friend, that is about to change! And you can be a part of that change!
I’ve just participated in a recent Tea Party event that coincided with the first ever National Tea Party convention in Nashville, Tennessee.
THANKS TO BARACK OBAMA…a “revolution” has begun!
This Tea Party movement is not necessarily defined by any one group, leader or politician. It is a GRASSROOTS action that is forcing both regular parties to change the way that they do business! Conservatism is NOT dead! It is being resurrected…..thanks to President Obama!
Level-headed, clear-thinking, patriotic Americans are disheartened by what they are experiencing through this current administration. The Reid-Pelosi-Obama agenda is doing permanent damage to the very fiber of our ideals as a great country.
Let’s do just a partial “checklist” of what I call the …“OBAMA DAMAGE FACTOR”:
Obama has traveled the world denigrating our country by bowing and apologizing before thugs, dictators and despots. They should be apologizing to us and the world, not vice versa.In short, President Obama is destroying our economy and culture, and undermining our military and national security.
I get ridiculed by many because I am black and do not support Barack Obama’s ideology. But this is not personal. I honor the office of the Presidency. I pray for President Obama to have a real change of heart. Unfortunately, his heart is hardened in pursuit of his radical and destructive policies. He has literally broken trust (and broken promises!) with the American people, even those who voted for him. For example, the promise of “transparency” has proved to be a joke, along with the promises he made about doing away with earmarks and keeping lobbyists out of his administration.
I CANNOT AND WILL NOT SUPPORT HIM JUST BECAUSE HE IS BLACK. I OWE MY ALLEGIANCE FIRST TO GOD AND COUNTRY, NOT TO A MAN OR MY RACE! I am a part of a small but growing number of blacks who support the grassroots Tea Party movement. At this past weekend’s first national Tea Party Convention in Nashville, Sarah Palin received a rousing welcome from a crowd of nearly 1,000 Tea Partiers as she sent a strong message of support for lower taxes, smaller government, transparency, energy independence and strong national security. She said, “I’m a big supporter of this movement. America is ready for another revolution!”
This is a movement—and a revolution—that cannot be stopped…..
They will forever OPPOSE the beliefs of President Barack Hussein Obama (and his cronies)! Help me to wipe out the “Obama Damage Factor”!
The American people are frightened by President Obama’s fiscal policies. Respected economists say his runaway spending and massive deficits could lead to economic collapse. I begin to wonder: “Why is he doing this to us?”
Many Americans suspect that he disdains our capitalist economy and wants it to fail. When it does, HE would then control everything!
He’s adding over $1 trillion in taxes, doubling the deficits President Bush left us and is making us a debtor nation to China and Japan. Given the proposed deficits in the next few years, every American family of four will owe—

By the end of 2010 our deficit will be 77% of our Gross Domestic Product. Our interest due on the debt will soon be $700 Billion a year, more than the budget of the Defense Department. My fellow patriot, it is way past time to take a very definitive STAND!
Our culture . . . our country . . . our defense . . . our security . . . our economy . . . our society as a whole is literally at stake. What many have fought and died for now hangs in the balance.
When I addressed and prayed at a Tea Party rally last week, I admonished grassroots Americans to support the Tea Party; more importantly, their objectives: EXPOSING corrupt and incompetent politicians—from the very top to the bottom!
I did not find any Nazis or racists there (as charged by the liberals!). I found Americans who love their country and are prepared to stand up for the values we believe in. WE DO NOT CARE THAT OBAMA IS BLACK; WE JUST WANT HIM TO BE RED, WHITE AND BLUE!
I am one of the most blessed people on earth to have been born a citizen of the United States of America. My forefather paid the price of slavery for me to be here. I love this country, and I do not like what President Obama is doing to it. The Tea Party offers tremendous hope of voting out people who are taking this country in an unconstitutional and ungodly direction. I support them whole-heartedly and I am urging all black Americans (as well as non-blacks whether Republican, Democrat or Independent!) who believe in the Judeo-Christian values which made this country great, to join with the Tea Party and their objectives.
The 2010 elections present an opportunity to put the brakes on the Obama march toward socialism. Will you help me to bring a message of genuine hope to the black community that can change hearts and minds? All I want is common-sense conservative solutions and a government that abides by the Constitution. All I want is for us to judge each other by the content of our character, not the color of our skin. What happened to the post-racial President. It was a deception, but the truth has been exposed. Obama is one of our MOST racial Presidents, not a post racial President. Help me provide the leadership that will take us toward a truly COLOR BLIND SOCIETY.
Sarah Palin, the former Vice-Presidential nominee of the Republican Party also commented at the Nashville convention, “Only limited government can expand prosperity and opportunity for all. Freedom is a God-given right that’s worth fighting for.”

For my part the GOP, as well as the Republicans can just go away and never come back. The recently started American Conservative Party is also proving to be less than stellar as noted by friend and fellow blogger Texas Fred. The Libertarian Party still offers the best hope for limited government but, alas, they too have gone off the deep end on so many issues. I am seriously beginning to believe that secession may be the only method of restoring the unalienable rights, liberties, and freedoms of individuals. One state at a time…
It’s the dream of every political strategist: a large and highly motivated group of voters ready to get out, work for, and financially support a slate of candidates whom they align with politically. True to form, the national Republican Party missed the opportunity to take full advantage of the Tea Party movement, mainly because the GOP is continuing to back candidates who don’t always work for lower taxation and less government.
Tea Party protesters angered by Republicans supporting Wall Street bailouts and the Waxman-Malarkey cap-n-tax bill are also bitter at the GOP establishment — particularly the National Republican Senatorial Committee — for backing certain incumbent or anointed candidates who are working with Leftists in Congress.
To that end, conservatives and political activist groups such as Club for Growth are throwing their support behind candidates whom the GOP establishment has shunned, such as Chuck DeVore in California for U.S. Senate; Marco Rubio in Florida for U.S. Senate (who is in a primary battle against the “moderate” outgoing governor Charlie Crist); and Doug Hoffman of New York, who, as we reported last week, opted to run under the Conservative Party banner after being spurned by local Republican officials. Instead, ACORN-backed Dede Scozzafava, whose positions make the Democrat candidate look like Ronald Reagan, is the official Republican candidate running in the upcoming Nov. 3 special election in New York’s 23rd Congressional District, though her campaign is out of cash. Backing ACORN candidates is unfortunately illustrative of the elite GOP’s mindset.
In a year where the political winds and poor performance of Democrats both favor a Republican resurgence, their treatment of this motivated voter bloc shows the national party is doing itself no favors by listening to the Beltway insiders rather than the people. GOP big shots may look back after next November and lament a lost opportunity.
