Civil War or Revolution?

January 12, 2013

It all became academic when the big government authoritarians decided that the time was ripe to disarm those that they laird it over. Mob rule, also known as political correctness and democracy has raised it’s populist ugly head against our republic. The Bill of Rights means nothing any longer. Sure, the current debate is about the Second Amendment but that’s simply a cover. Just look at how the entire Bill of Rights has been whittled away over the years with the blessings of the Supreme Court.

The electorate in general no longer respects the oath taken to protect and defend the Constitution. Rather they by and large do their best to chip away freedom and liberty since the don’t have the courage to force a Constitutional Convention. Cut the lies and admit that what their doing is no less than the commission or treason. Legal definitions be damned! No more squirming around by better than thou attorney types call it what it is.

How many as a percentage brought about freedom from the British? I have read that it was as low as three percent up to twenty percent. The point being that it was not very many. There are a lot more now, and those people are angry, very angry.

While many of the treasonous leaders of these not so United States are plotting the over through of the foundations that made this nation the envy of the world others are quietly forming actual militia’s with the full blown intention of destroying those that wish to destroy the enemies those that prefer freedom. Not simply the outlaws in the Senate and House of Representatives but organizations such as the  Southern Positive Law Center as many groups that hate liberty.

An actual civil war or full full blown revolution is about to unfold. The neo- conservatives and neo-communists will the ones that will to be the ones that brought the blood baths. People are sick of talk and negotiation that just chips away the rights and liberty that belong of the people.

Time will tell to be sure when it comes to just will happen.

“They stood and they watched and our people died.”

October 22, 2012

Unforgivable, that is what the current administration is. Read about this episode of “The obama follies.”

HERE

Then there is the ongoing saga of “Let’s kill Americans and Mexicans so that we can get our way!”

Fast & Furious is in the news again.  The Obama Administration this week filed court papers to get the lawsuit filed by the House of Representatives against Attorney General Eric Holder thrown out.
The House lawsuit asks the court to reject a claim of executive privilege by the President, who sealed thousands of documents relating to Fast & Furious, a Justice Department operation that facilitated the smuggling of thousands of U.S. weapons south of the border.
The administration calls the House lawsuit a mere “political dispute” between the branches of government.  But this is much more than a political dispute.  People died as a result of Fast Furious, which makes it much worse than even Watergate where no one died.  Fast & Furious has led to the deaths of more than 200 Mexicans and at least one U.S. federal agent.
On a somewhat positive note, GOA asked you last week to urge Paul Ryan to bring up Fast & Furious in his debate with Vice President Joe Biden and to send your request through the Romney-Ryan website.
Well, Ryan didn’t bring up the point, but Mitt Romney did this week during the presidential debate as he told the American people — some who were probably hearing this for the first time — that Fast & Furious guns were used to kill people on both sides of the border.  “They [drug lords] used those weapons against – against their own citizens and killed Americans with them,” Romney said. “And this was a … program of the [U.S.] government.”
Romney then went on to challenge the President for using executive privilege to cover up the administration’s role in Operation Fast & Furious:  “[I]t’s one of the great tragedies related to violence in our society which has occurred during this administration. Which I think the American people would like to understand fully, it’s been investigated to a degree, but [the] administration has carried out executive privilege to prevent all of the information from coming out.”
There it is — the invoking of executive privilege by the Obama Administration, which was simply an attempt to cover up details as to why the U.S. government would help send guns south of the border.  Of course, we in the gun-owning community know why.  It was an attempt to justify support for new gun regulations.
As stated by Sharyl Attkisson of CBS News:  “[Justice Department] emails show they discussed using the sales, including [Fast & Furious] sales encouraged by ATF, to justify a new gun regulation called ‘Demand Letter 3.’ That would require some U.S. gun shops to report the sale of multiple rifles or ‘long guns.’”
In other words, Operation Fast & Furious was intended to help the administration justify calls for a new gun registration scheme, which was eventually implemented (illegally and without Congressional authority) in four southwestern border states.
Thanks again for your activism last week in encouraging the presidential ticket to bring up Fast and Furious, so that it doesn’t get lost in all the campaigning.  GOA is currently traveling across the country and joining with pro-gun candidates to draw attention to Fast & Furious, as well.

Arab Spring, Arab rage; The enemy of my enemy

September 14, 2012

The enemy of my enemy as the saying goes. It certainly does not appear that we have many friends in the middle east these days. The reality is that we never have. This clash of cultures goes well beyond the founding of our nation, and our nation was not founded based upon the teachings of a pedophile moon worshiper.

There’s no love lost between myself and Islam. Too be sure, on at least a dozen occasions I have heard the screams of Allah Akbar accompanied by the waving of swords, AK 47‘s, and death. Which, believe it or not is unusual. Muslims seem to specialize in the killing of fellow Muslims.

In any case the time has come to once again become Ugly Americans. That following the lines of it being a good thing to be respected, but better to be feared.

Oh, and that stupid film? I don’t give a damn.

Memorial Day

May 28, 2012

Day is done, gone the sun
From the lakes, from the hills, from the sky
All is well, safely rest
God is nigh.
Fading light dims the sight
And a star gems the sky, gleaming bright
From afar, drawing near
Falls the night.
Thanks and praise for our days
Neath the sun, neath the stars, neath the sky
As we go, this we know
God is nigh.

God bless the souls and families of those that have given the ultimate price for the liberty and freedom that we live with today.

A History Lesson, so to speak…

January 19, 2012

I have a very good friend. His name is Leo, and I will leave it at that. he follows the blog, and will reveal his full name if he so chooses to do so.

Leo, is a genuine all American BAD ASS.  In the Viet Nam War Leo did his duty, and then some. Three, count them three Bronze Stars with “V” Device, as well as a Silver Star. He also picked up a couple of Purple Mary’s along the way. He pulled a woman and her two kids out of a canal in Georgia I think it was. That had run off the road, and were in danger of drowning. He took a hit in the lower leg from a Water Moccasin in the process. That tagged him with “The Soldiers Medal.” He’s also got a Combat Infantry Badge with? Three stars for God’s sakes! Leo, is / was an AIRBORNE RANGER!

Which brings me too the point of this post. Leo and I were talking one day and the subject of slavery came up. I received one hell of an education that day. Oh, I somehow forgot to mention that Leo, is a Black Man…

What follows, is stolen from my good friend Texas Fred. It is a review of the dressing down that I received from Leo that day.

Here in Texas we take our holidays, traditions and heritage quite seriously.

Confederate Heroes Day in Texas

Confederate Heroes Day is a Texas State Holiday created by Chapter 221, Senate Bill 60, of the 63rd Texas Legislature. Approved June 1, 1973 and Effective August 27, 1973, this bill deleted June 3rd as a holiday for Jefferson Davis’ birthday and combined it with Robert E. Lee’s Birthday, January 19th. It is the last holiday in the State of Texas dedicated to Confederate Veterans. We as “Sons of Confederate Veterans” are dedicate to the preservation of this holiday, the defense of the Confederate soldier’s good name, the guardianship of his history, the emulation of his virtues, the perpetuation of those principles which he loved and which we love also, and those ideals which made him glorious. We celebrate this day in remembrance of those gallant individuals who bravely defended their families and their homeland in the war for southern independence. SOURCE

Some say we fly the Confederate Flag because we are racists and haters. Those people are what I like to call WRONG. Hatred and racism have NOTHING to do with pride and our heritage.

I grow frustrated by those that insist the War Between the States was a war fought over the issue of slavery, it was not. Many still refer to it as The War of Northern Aggression.

So, let us examine some Confederate history, MYTH vs FACTS, and a bit of REAL history concerning those many myths as they are properly taken to task in the following:

History books, the media, the school systems, etc abound in falsehoods and inaccuracies of Confederate and Southern history. This fact sheet will help to clarify and dispel some of these rampant inaccuracies.

MYTH – The War of 1861 – 1865 was fought over slavery.

FACT – Terribly untrue. The North fought the war over money. Plain and simple. When the South started Secession, Lincoln was asked, “Why not let the South go in peace?” To which he replied, “I can’t let them go. Who would pay for the government?” Sensing total financial ruin for the North, Lincoln waged war on the South. The South fought the War to repel Northern aggression and invasion.

MYTH– Only Southerners owned slaves.

FACT– Entirely untrue. Many Northern civilians owned slaves. Prior to, during and even after the War Of Northern Aggression.

Surprisingly, to many history impaired individuals, most Union Generals and staff had slaves to serve them! William T. Sherman had many slaves that served him until well after the war was over and did not free them until late in 1865.

U.S. Grant also had several slaves, who were only freed after the 13th amendment in December of 1865. When asked why he didn’t free his slaves earlier, Grant stated “Good help is so hard to come by these days.”

Contrarily, Confederate General Robert E. Lee freed his slaves (which he never purchased – they were inherited) in 1862!!! Lee freed his slaves several years before the war was over, and considerably earlier than his Northern counterparts. And during the fierce early days of the war when the South was obliterating the Yankee armies!

Lastly, and most importantly, why did NORTHERN States outlaw slavery only AFTER the war was over? The so-called “Emancipation Proclamation” of Lincoln only gave freedom to slaves in the SOUTH! NOT in the North! This pecksniffery even went so far as to find the state of Delaware rejecting the 13th Amendment in December of 1865 and did not ratify it (13th Amendment / free the slaves) until 1901!

MYTH– The Confederate Battle Flag was flown on slave ships.

FACT– NONE of the flags of the Confederacy or Southern Nation ever flew over a slave ship. Nor did the South own or operate any slaves ships. The English, the Dutch and the Portuguese brought slaves to this country, not the Southern Nation.

BUT, even more monumental, it is also very important to know and understand that Federal, Yankee, Union ships brought slaves to America! These ships were from the New England states, and their hypocrisy is atrocious.

These Federals were ones that ended up crying the loudest about slavery. But without their ships, many of the slaves would have never arrived here. They made countless fortunes on the delivery of slaves as well as the products made from raw materials such as cotton and tobacco in the South.

This is the problem with Yankee history. History is overwhelmingly portrayed incorrectly by most of the Federal & Yankee books and media.

MYTH– The Confederate Battle Flag represented the Southern Nation.

FACT– Not true. While the Southern Battle flag was carried into battle, the Southern Nation had 3 different National flags during the course of the war.

The First National flag was changed due to a resemblance of the US flag.

The Second National flag was subsequently modified due to the similarity to a flag of truce.

The Third National flag was the adopted flag of the Confederacy.

The Confederate Battle Flag was never a National Flag of the Confederacy. It was carried into battle by several armies such as the Army Of Northern Virginia and the Army of Tennessee. Was also used as a Naval Jack by the Confederate Navy.

MYTH– The Confederate Battle Flag is known as the “Stars & Bars”.

FACT– A common misconception. The First National Confederate Flag is correctly known as the “Stars & Bars”. The Confederate Battle Flag is known as the “Southern Cross”.

MYTH– The Confederate Battle Flag represents racism today.

FACT– The Confederate Battle Flag today finds itself in the center of much controversy and hoopla going on in several states. The cry to take this flag down is unjustified. It is very important to keep in mind that the Confederate Battle Flag was simply just that. A battle flag. It was never even a National flag, so how could it have flown over a slave nation or represented slavery or racism? This myth is continued by lack of education and ignorance. Those that vilify the Confederate Battle Flag are very confused about history and have jumped upon a bandwagon with loose wheels.

MYTH– The United States Flag represented freedom.

FACT– No chance. The US flag flew over a slave nation for over 85 years! The North tolerated slavery and acknowledged it as a Division Of Labor. The North made a vast fortune on slavery and it’s commodities. It wasn’t until the South decided to leave the Union that the North objected. The North knew it could not survive without the Southern money. That is the true definition of hypocrisy.

MYTH– Abraham Lincoln was the Great Emancipator.

FACT– While Lincoln has went down in history as the Great Emancipator, many would not care to hear his real thoughts on people of color. Martyred President Abraham Lincoln was fervently making plans to send all freed slaves to the jungles of Central America once the war was over. Knowing that African society would never allow the slaves to return back to Africa, Lincoln also did not want the slaves in the US. He thought the jungles of Central America would be the best solution and conducive to the freed slaves best interest. The only thing that kept this from happening, was his assassination.

MYTH– The South revered slavery.

FACT– A very interesting fact on slavery is that at the time the War of 1861 -1865 officially commenced, the Southern States were actually in the process of freeing all slaves in the South. Russia had freed it’s servants in 1859, and the South took great note of this. Had military intervention not been forced upon the South, a very different America would have been realized then as well as now.

MYTH– The Confederate Army was comprised of rich slave owners.

FACT– Very far from true. The vast majority of soldiers in the Confederate Army were simple men of meager income. Most of which were hard working farmers and common men. Then, as now, very few rich men ever fight a war.

MYTH– Only the North had men of color in their ranks.

FACT– Quite simply a major falsehood of history. Many blacks, both free and of their own will, joined the Confederate Army to fight for their beloved Southern home. Additionally, men of other ethnic extraction fought as well. Oriental, Mexican & Spanish men as well as Native American Indians fought with pride for the South.

Today, many men of color are members in the heritage group SCV – Sons Of Confederate Veterans. These men of color and pride rejoice in their heritage. The continued attacks on the Southern Nation, The Confederacy, and her symbols are a terrible outrage to these fine people. These attacks should be denounced with as much fervor as those who denounce the South.

MYTH– The Confederate Flags are an authorized symbol of Aryan, KKK and hate groups.

FACT– Quite the contrary. These despicable organizations such as the KKK and Aryans have taken a hallowed piece of history, and have plagued good Southern folks and the memories of fine Confederate Soldiers that fought under the flag with their perverse agenda. IN NO WAY does the Confederate Flag represent hate or violence. Heritage groups such as the SCV battle daily the damage done to a proud nation by these hate groups. The SCV denounces all hate groups, and pridefully boast HERITAGE – NOT HATE.

MYTH– The SCV – Sons Of Confederate Veterans are a racist, hate group.

FACT– This is a blatant attack on one of the finest heritage groups ever. The SCV – Sons Of Confederate Veterans are a historical, patriotic and non-political organization comprised of descendants of Confederate Soldiers and sailors dedicated to insuring that a true history of the 1861 -1865 period is preserved and presented to the public. The SCV continues to educate the public of the memory and reputation of the Confederate soldier as well as the motives for his suffering and sacrifice.

The SCV – Sons Of Confederate Veterans are in NO WAY affiliated with, nor does it recognize or condone the terrible legacy of hate groups such as the KKK. SOURCE

You can’t get a much more comprehensive, in-depth explanation than that.

Merry Christmas; Some Nitwit always has to screw things up

December 26, 2011

Christmas, a day of thanks for our blessings. Irrespective of how one thinks in terms of religion, or faith. Gift giving and so on are but the shallow things involved. In Kantian Ethics we think in terms of final right, or wrong. Good, or evil, doing what is right, moral, and correct because that is what one should do. Not for reward, just because it is the correct thing to do. Even when no one else is watching.

But? Someone, or group always has to screw things up. Muslims stage an attack on innocent people in Nigeria. Some freak shoots up three generations of a family after opening presents, and I am sure that by later today there will be even more atrocities reported.

All of these things usually end up in some insane call for even further restrictions on the freedoms and liberties of the individual. Most often when those very freedoms may have prevented, or lessened the horrors released upon the victims.

More laws will be demanded by those that endure the pain of loss, as well as those with an anti freedom agenda. Any time that a law is passed it ultimately results in a loss of freedom in exchange for some perceived security. Ben Franklin summed that up for us all quite a few years ago. But? Does anyone listen these days to a dead old white man..?

Mark my words, there will be calls for extreme gun control laws in Texas as a result of the tragedy that happened just outside Dallas. But the control freaks will not say a word about what happened in Niger, where, at least legally, no one can own a weapon other than Police and Military, and, yes, you guessed it… Those with the right connections! Further, you can bet your bottom peso that the obama’s reported promise of assistance in fighting the terrorist’s will come with a price tag of some sort. Most probably involving more and liberty damaging policies, procedures, laws, or treaties…

I submit, yes, even after all these years here on WordPress, that individual freedom and liberty could have prevented or greatly lessened the degree of  both the above noted tragedies. It is called a 45 Colt or 12 gauge Shotgun in the hands of a brave, willing and trained person. Yes, my Marine and Ranger Brothers will chastise me for saying that, but? Simply put, a rifle was not needed to put a stop to the nonsense!

Political correctness be damned!

Pakistan Redux: Yet another one…

November 27, 2011

Seems to me that neither the Pakistani government, nor ours / NATO can really be in any position to be pointing fingers. Yet another attack by our forces appears to have gone badly. Or did it? We hit them, our enemies, where we find them, and, all to often? They are being harbored, if not hidden within the territory of Pakistan.

That said, it would appear that the Pakistani’s intentionally protect people that have tried to harm ourselves or our allies. I mean, think about it, just for a minute or so… Alright, times up even though it only took a split second. Osama Bin Ladin was killed while hiding out in a Pakistan garrison city. Multiple terrorist’s have been removed from the chess board of life and sent to their virgins by our forces while within the Territory of, you guessed it, Pakistan.

This type of warfare, by definition, is unconventional. Not to mention that it is the only type of action that actually get’s results when dealing with enemies that swim among the fishes unnoticed. Will there be mistakes? Of course, there always are in this dirty business called war, and, sadly, innocents all to often pay the ultimate price when those mistakes are made.

Pakistan is, and should be, a natural ally of the United States, and NATO. After all, these same enemies of ours have vowed to destroy Pakistan on several occasions. That being the case I can understand them getting their panties in a wad over our incursions, at least publicly. They are after all a sovereign nation. Who really knows what is being said behind closed doors though? There could very well be more than a few officials and Generals sleeping better tonight because they know that since this or that bad guy is now with Allah and their hands are clean.

It is time that we drew our forces back from this adventure, and allow the Afghan’s to sink or swim. All the while maintaining our Special Operations forces war to continue on relentlessly pursuing those that would do us harm.

Never let a crises go to waste. Timing is everything!

US ties Iran to plot to assassinate Saudi diplomat

US ties Iran to plot to assassinate Saudi diplomat

WASHINGTON (AP) – The Obama administration on Tuesday accused agents of the Iranian government of being involved in a plan to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to the United States. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said the thwarted plot would further isolate Tehran.

Two people, including a member of Iran’s special operations unit known as the Quds Force, were charged in New York federal court. Justice Department officials say they were working with a person they thought was an associate of a Mexican drug cartel to target the Saudi diplomat, Adel Al-Jubeir. But their contact was an informant for the Drug Enforcement Agency who told U.S. authorities about all their planning.

FBI Director Robert Mueller said many lives could have been lost in the plot to kill the ambassador with bombs in the U.S. But Preet Bharara, the U.S. attorney in Manhattan, said no explosives were actually placed and no one was in any danger because of the informant’s cooperation with authorities.

Attorney General Eric Holder said the U.S. would hold Iran accountable. Clinton told The Associated Press the plot would further isolate Iran as the United States put those allegedly involved under sanctions.

Full Story Here:
US ties Iran to plot to assassinate Saudi diplomat

Does anyone feel just a little bit skeptical, a tiny bit suspicious that as Eric Holder is about to be subpoenaed in the Fast and Furious debacle, as Obama and his *house of cards* is so close to falling, that all of a sudden there’s an evil plot to assassinate the Saudi ambassador brought up and SPLATTERED all over the news?

Photobucket

Manssor Arbabsiar, a 56-year-old U.S. citizen who also holds an Iranian passport, was charged along with Gholam Shakuri, who authorities said was a Quds Force member and is still at large in Iran. The complaint filed in federal court says Arbabsiar confessed that his cousin, Abdul Reza Shahlai, was a high-ranking member of the Quds Force who told him to hire someone in the narcotics business to target Al-Jubeir and that Shakuri was his cousin’s deputy who helped provide funding for the plot.

OK, so, how about this? Manssor Arbabsiar was arrested Sept. 29 and has been in custody since then. That’s 2 weeks that Obama and Holder have had this guy *on ice*, and all of a sudden, TODAY, it’s a BIG story?

Do you still think it’s not a ploy by Holder and Obama, the coincidence of this release being made as Holder is about to be subpoenaed and only a few hours before the nation sees the next GOP debate?

Not an attempt to get Holder’s name OFF of the front page and divert attention to a plot that is designed to scare the hell out of American citizens? Seriously?

Folks, there are NO coincidences in the Obama administration. There is a method to their madness and a rhyme for every reason. These people don’t do anything if there’s not a very good reason to do so, and protecting Holder, Obama, Clinton and God knows how many others in that evil regime is their *Job 1*.

Justice Department officials say Arbabsiar approached the DEA informant in Mexico to ask about his knowledge of explosives for a plot to blow up the Saudi embassy in Washington. But through subsequent conversations in English, secretly recorded for U.S. authorities, Arbabsiar offered $1.5 million for the death of the ambassador, perhaps at a purported favorite restaurant of his despite the possibility of mass casualties.

Asked whether the plot was blessed by the top echelons of the Iranian government, Holder said the Justice Department was not making that accusation.

Well of course Holder isn’t going to to make an accusation against Iran, if the USA were to come out against Iran, in ANY way, some would assume that the USA might support the Israelis. We can’t have anyone thinking that this might be a good time to take Israel off of the leash and let them take some sort of action against Iran now can we?

Arbabsiar did not know he was trying to hire a DEA informant to carry out the plot, prosecutors said. Posing as an associate of a Mexican drug cartel, the informant met with Arbabsiar several times in Mexico, authorities said. The price tag was $1.5 million and Arabsiar made a $100,000 down payment wired from an overseas account.

You have got to admit, it IS pretty damned funny when an Iranian looking for a *hit man* just happens to stumble upon a DEA informant and lays it all out to him. Pretty ironic in my opinion.

The Second Amendment is Coming Under Fire! Vote could occur as early as Wednesday

September 20, 2011
Earlier this month, we alerted you to the fact that Congress will have an opportunity to defund some of the anti-gun programs that the Obama Administration has foisted upon the American people.
Well, we are sorry to report that the congressional leadership is not yet listening to you. The House will soon be taking up H.J.Res. 79, which bundles all 12 appropriation bills to fund the federal government for the next month and a half.
According to GOA’s sources on Capitol Hill, this bill contains:
  • NO DEFUNDING of ObamaCare;
  • NO DEFUNDING of Operation Fast & Furious which was used to demonize American gun owners, while helping send arms to Mexican drug cartels;
  • NO DEFUNDING of requirements that will register American gun owners in the Southwest — regulations that were instituted by the Obama Administration as a way of deflecting attention from their involvement in Fast & Furious;
  • NO DEFUNDING of the shotgun and rifle import bans; and,
  • NO DEFUNDING of the Administration’s ability to engage in negotiations on an anti-gun small arms treaty.
ACTION: We need to redouble our efforts. Please use the pre-written letter to contact your congressman, and urge your friends and family to do the same. Time is of the essence!
Tell your Representative to stake out a position early and publicly that they will oppose any continuing resolution which does not defund ObamaCare, Fast & Furious, the illegal long gun multiple sales regs, the illegal shotgun and rifle bans, and the UN negotiations to produce a treaty which will register American gun owners.

911 No, we will never forget, nor will we ever forgive…

September 12, 2011

Yes, this is a day late. I had no internet access and so had to content myself with silent mourning as I sent the freight shaker down the roads of America. The radio was filled the stories of those that perished, and the righteous anger of those that lived on.

Stories about Policemen, and Firefighters, Port Authority folks as well as those about the sacrifice made by heroes that day. I’ve posted elsewhere on this blog about those that I knew that died that fateful day. Not to sound cynical, but, yet again those that work in EMS were left out. I suppose the lives of Paramedics and EMT’s simply don’t count as much as those of others. Enough of sour grapes though. Life is way too short to dwell on such piddley things.

Jon Caldara, at 850 KOA radio put on a very touching show. I remembered listening to him that day as things played out. Things that changed this nation forever. Some good things to be sure. But some decidedly bad things as well. We Americans made a dreadful mistake in choosing some little security at the cost of a loss of a lot of liberty.

Afghanistan should have been obliterated, period. As an abject lesson to the enemies of Liberty and Freedom. Can you folks understand that I for one, am still more than a tad upset over the loss of my friends and co-workers?
